The Edmonton Oilers took care of business last night defeating the San Jose Sharks with ease. The Oilers scoring nine goals in the first 40 minutes to win the game 9-2. Connor McDavid returned to the lineup and picked up 100th assist of the season, making his the fourth player in the NHL to hit that mark. He joins Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Bobby Orr as the only players to score 100 assists in a single season.

Life without Connor McDavid wasn't good this weekend for the Edmonton Oilers. On Friday, they dropped a 3-2 decision to the Arizona Coyotes in overtime and followed that up with a 3-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks, which ultimately ended any hope of winning the Pacific Division.

However, Connor McDavid likely won't play again after missing the game on Wednesday in a 5-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. The Edmonton Oilers took care of business last night despite Connor McDavid missing from there lineup. The Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 5-1 to extend their win streak to three. Additionally, the Vancouver Canucks lost against the Arizona Coyotes in overtime yesterday, which narrows the gap to four with five games to play for Edmnonton.


Cody Ceci, Mattias Ekholm, Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl all snapped home goals last night. Also, Dylan Holloway scored in his return to the lineup after capitalizing on a mistake from Adin Hill. Stuart Skinner was excellent between the pipes...

The Edmonton Oilers are back on the ice at Rogers Place tonight to face the Vegas Golden Knights. The Oilers haven't played since Saturday when they defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2 on the road. Despite those days off, Edmonton's schedule the remainder of the week is hectic with the Arizona Coyotes and the Vancouver Canucks coming to town over the weekend.

The Edmonton Oilers needed the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Vancouver Canucks last night; however, that unfortunately was not the case. The Canucks rallied from two goals down to beat the Golden Knights to win 4-3. With that win, Vancouver increased their cushion to five points over the Oilers for first in the Pacific Division.

It was a fantastic weekend for the Edmonton Oilers grabbing back-to-back wins over the Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames. After their four point weekend, the Oilers now sit three points behind the Vancouver Canucks for first in the Pacific Division.


Victory over the Avalanche came first for the Oilers. Edmonton put six by Alexander Georgiev including a couple from Evander Kane, who ended his career long goalless drought. The Edmonton Oilers get back on home ice tonight as they welcome the Colorado Avalanche to Rogers Place. The Oilers are looking for a win after dropping their last two games on the road versus the St Louis Blues and Dallas Stars.


It was a tight contest the last time Edmonton and Colorado met. The game was tied 2-2 after 60 minutes but, unfortunately, the Oilers couldn't grab the extra point. Artturi Lehkonen scored the overtime winner with 0.5 seconds remaining to secure maximum points for the road team.

A brutal night versus the Stars

The Edmonton Oilers second game of their four game road trip couldn't have gone worse.


Down in Dallas last night, the Oilers were blanked 5-0 to the Stars after Jake Oettinger made 35 stops for his third shutout of the year. The scored started early when Radek Faksa beat Calvin Pickard for his 7th of the season, after capitalzing from a turnover.
