By: What Have You Got For Me?

We are just 2 mates from the North West who love chatting football so we want to keep this as a show by Fans, for Fans. Keeping in line with our main principles, ‘mates having a chat’. Topics - We will be covering different topics each week. The Mission - We aim to interview at least one fan each of the 92 professional teams across the UK Partnerships - We have partnered with a local charity, Two Pints Deep, a mental health charity with a very similar target audience

12.9 | S2 E3 - We All Hate Leeds Scum (The Mission)
#3
09/13/2023

First Mission EP. of the new season and we start with a team Haytack famously won 6 consecutive PL titles with... on football manager at least, Leeds.

Nice little insight to what life is down back in the depths of the championship, talk about the Bielsa highs and lows and what the future looks like.

Actually must admit I do like Leeds so here's hoping they come back up!

Enjoy!

25.8 | S2 E2 - Pay Grades, Missed Potential & Overachievers
#2
08/25/2023

E2 opens with a topic Keefe brought to the table which at first, the team wasn't 100% on, but we like to make him feel included from time to time and thought we'll let him have this one.Interesting ep. all in though as the question: 'Who's Over Achieved, Under Achieved and Above & Below their pay grade?' offered a few options to say the least.Reach out to us on the old Insta if you have any suggestions!

17.8 | S2 E1 - We're Back!
#1
08/17/2023

Back at it with Season 2 of What Have You Got For Me?. Couldn't ignore what's been a disruptive Transfer Window this summer so we start with an assessment of winners and losers.Did Kane make the right call?Small dose of predictions in there too.Enjoy!

23.6 | S1 E19 - The Wrap Up
#19
06/23/2023

And that's it, year 1 of being Media moguls comes to an end. Can already sense Gary Neville and The Overlap team are feeling the pressure.Completely over-ran as usual - our bad - something we will work on! But a bit of an end of season reflection, winners, losers, dark horses and alike.Stay tuned for next season's plans!

25.4 | S1 E18 - The Mission - Up The Villa, Down The Blues
#18
05/25/2023

Back with The Mission again this time bringing everyone's favourite brummy, Jacob Hall, long-term Villa fan who's been through it all (rhyme not intended). Huge admirer of all things Fabian Delph, West Brom and the Blues, great to get his insight into life as a Villa fan who finally seem ready to re-live the glory days and bringing European football back to the midlands.Enjoy!

27.4 | S1 E17 - The Mission - Arsenal (Oh yes)
#17
04/27/2023

Expert timing from the team getting Arsenal fan, Toby Wardle, on to the hot seat.Despite being fresh off the back of a 4-1 humbling away at Manchester City, the title race is no longer in their hands and failing to even prove Gary Neville wrong, Toby was in high spirits looking at the bigger picture.Arsenal still top, games in hand don't equal points, maybe he's on to something..?But then again, probs not.Enjoy!

03.3 | S1 E16 - The Mission - The Gift That Keeps On Giving (Spurs)
#16
03/30/2023

We take a trip down 3=Point-Lane as we welcome one of the Spurs' faithfuls, Will Schofield.

Typical Spurs chat if we're honest centred around trophies (or lack of) the expertly timed Conte saga and the future of Harry Kane.

Talking like a man who's truly taken some flack during his time as a Spurs fan, can anyone else share Will's optimism for the future?

24.3 | S1 E15 - The Mission - Manchester City
#15
03/24/2023

Back on track with the Mission again bringing in the big guns - R kid, Joe Blashill. With a CV boasting the likes of BBC Radio and Soccer AM the red carpet was well and truly rolled. An interesting call or two around Ederson and Roberto 'Bobby' Mancini, but overall great to get a fan's insight into the title race and the Champions League.Enjoy!

16.3 | S1 E13 (Technically) - The Mission - Everton
#13
03/16/2023

2nd time's the charm it seems with our good friend Joe Swift who reflects on his time as an Everton fan... laughs were few and far between as you could guess...We'll call it an 'eye opening' insight to life is actually like as an Everton fan and that's why we're asking for just £1 per month so you can put a smile on the Blue side of Liverpool's face even for just one day.Chin up lads!

09.3 | S1 E14 (Technically) - How Important Is The Jan. Window? / Who's Going Down..?
#14
03/09/2023

Episode 14 today (technically, due to an error when hosting our Everton man Joe Swift) and we're back to the usual two topic format.

Firstly, an old fashioned disagreement on our sides on how important the Jan. window exactly is - share your thoughts on the socials of who you think is right. No doubt it'll be Keefe as per.

And secondly, who's facing the chop this season and getting relegated.

Enjoy!

02.3 | S1 E12 - The Mission - Newcastle
#12
03/02/2023

Back to The Mission for us this week and we hate to say that the positivity is still going strong.

We welcomed Jordan Maguire, lifelong Newcastle fan (hard work pays off after all), who shares insight, memories and where he hopes the club could go under the Howe tenure.

Enjoy!

30.01 | S1 E11 - Most Important Position On The Pitch / Best Signing
#11
01/30/2023

Back to the usual format on today's ep. Keefe posed the questions today which sparked a little debate amongst friends earlier today so we thought we'd keep it going: Which player has the most important position? Is it a Haaland out and out number 9 or a no nonsense Vidic sewing together the backline.

Then moving on to the more broader topic - hard one to answer but I think we got there in the end - the best signing since the 2000 era?

Hard one to answer if you're trying to balance price tag vs. silverware...

26.01 | S1 E10 - The Mission - Nottingham Forest
#10
01/26/2023

Landmark moment today as we reach our 10th episode to date.

Celebrating the occasion discussing two-time European Cup Winners (did you know that btw?) Nottingham Forest.

Joining us today is Lewis Kingsley, lifelong season ticket holder, who may divide Forest Fans' opinions in parts, has a blatant deep-lying hatred for Blackpool and threw an absolute curve ball on who he'd have Two Pints with.

Enjoy!

19.01 | S1 E9 - The Mission / Two Pints Deep - This Is It
#9
01/19/2023

This Is It, Title Charge.

A few ways summing up United's season so far from the creator of Two Pints Deep, Luke Barrow.

Cracking little episode, been wanting to do this one since we started (could have done without the United optimism... or delusion... we'll let you decide), but a great insight from Luke going as the Two Pints Deep team reaches the 1 year anniversary.

Great initiative, great upcoming announcements... not so great result yesterday though.

12.01 | S1 E8 - The Mission - Leicester
#8
01/12/2023

Did you know that Leicester once won the League? 5,000-1 odds apparently.

Thankfully we had Ollie Tharratt - die hard, born & bred Leicester City supporter - joining us on our second effort at The Mission let us know.

Easily one of the UK's most positive fans you'll meet...

We're not 100% sure the 30 (ish) minutes we try to allow ourselves touched the sides but we got the gist of it overall.

Bet you can't guess his favourite moment...

15.12 | S1 E7 - 2022 (Christmas) Wrap Up
#7
12/15/2022

There we have it, 2022 it's been nice knowing you (ish) we'll forget Saturday 10.12 for some reason. Can't think why now.

But, this ep covers a smidge of the World Cup because what self-respecting podcast wouldn't?

Also highlighting a few plans for 2023.

Happy new year!

01.12 | S1 E6 - The Mission - Chelsea
#6
12/01/2022

First ep. of our Mission Series welcoming on to the *stage* is our very own Bill Blakeston.

Here to share his thoughts on all things Chelsea from Potter to signings to favourite moments.

Hardest part was getting him to finish...

10.11 | S1 E5 - The England Squad
#5
11/10/2022

Ultimate pub / work / school playground topic - who should start in England's first XI?

In the spirit of the 2022 World Cup, we thought we'd have a go in case Gareth could be listening and share our unasked for opinion on how it should line up this WC.

We asked you for your predictions so we gave you ours:

Winners / Dark Horses / Top Scorer / Best Player / Underachievers

Who's team/predictions do you agree with more?

(*Spoiler Alert* Keefe is miles off with Uruguay...)

01.11 | S1 E4 - Burnley, Are They On The Up? / The Debate: Best English Team Ever... (since 2000)
#4
11/01/2022

Part of our mini-segment we call, The Radar. A list of teams we'll take a deep dive look into and have a discussion on where they're at.

Vincent Kompany's Burnley are leading the way in the Championship having only lost 1 game so far. Must beg the question... are they on the up?

&, what is most possibly the most common work / pub / school debate... the best English team ever (since 2000).

29.10 | S1 E3 - Is It Really That Hard To Adapt To The Premier League? / Let's Talk Title & Relegation Contenders
#3
10/29/2022

Who was better... Shevchenko or Michu?

Bottom line is, why do some players come from abroad and land like a duck to water (the words, Luis & Suarez come to mind) and others come with a hefty price tag and forget how to even play the game?

We thought it was worth 15 minutes or so of ours & your time to discuss.

-

Equally, title/relegation contenders... start of the season and now... has it changed?

06.10 | S1 E2 - Who's Who Of The Derbies? / What Happened To The 9's?
#2
10/06/2022

Quick topic following a weekend of local derbies. It left us thinking, which is the best local derby really?

Also... did the number 9 ever truly go out of fashion?

29.9 | E1 S1 - When Is It Too Early To..?
#1
09/29/2022

First ep. in the history of the What Have You Got For Me? saga.

Keefe & I thought, given the microscope Gareth Southgate has recently been under and the sackings of Thomas Tuchel and Scott Parker, when can it be deemed too early sack a manager?

Same goes for players too: how long are they given before (fairly) being branded a flop?

Let's hear your say on our Instagram channel: @whathaveyougotforme

The Intro - 26.9
09/26/2022

Nice and easy, simple 7 minute intro on to who we are, where it came from and what we hope to do.

Enjoy.
