If there was ever a championship parade to be at, it might be the Knicks’ title parade on Thursday in Manhattan
-As we discussed to start off the show, the Knicks’ run to the title was phenomenal and incredibly impressive---and their title parade is set for
Thursday
-Even better---it will be the first parade in franchise history, as they didn’t have one when they won the title in 1973. Biggest city in the country,
first ever title parade….it’s going to be glorious chaos

CBS Sports lists Jahsear Whittington and Jamal Rule as potential breakout players in the B1G this season…could Rule end up as the starting RB?
-This is a bit awkward because we love our guy Mekhi Nelson and his father---Rashawn!—who listens to our show every day….but competition
is needed and maybe there’s a path to both being very successful at Nebraska. What’s the outlook there for a breakout?
-We talked earlier in the show about the best position groups at Nebraska…DL wouldn’t be listed likely as tops, but maybe Whittington can be
better than anticipated?

Banana Ball filled Memorial Stadium on Saturday…with pretty much 100% approval from the fans
-Think about that for a second---fans have been filling the stadium since 1962 and often times leave with a sour taste in their mouth. Outside of
a few concerts here and there, and the Volleyball Day in Nebraska…it’s not often you can leave a packed stadium knowing you’ll be happy
-No one really cares about who wins in the Savannah Bananas games, and seeing Tom Osborne being honored just makes it more of a party like
it was…

This is not an NBA show, BUT----the Knicks winning the NBA Championship has to give the most downtrodden fanbases hope for the future
-On Saturday night, the Knicks came back---again---on the road to beat the Spurs, 94-90, and win the NBA Finals in 5 games. The Knicks went
16-3 in the postseason, which is obviously remarkable---and 3 of the 5 biggest comebacks in the history of the NBA Finals en route to their title
-We know our listeners don’t love the NBA, and frankly---neither do we---but when a team with as fervent as a fanbase as the Knicks wins their
first title in 53 years, it has to give fans from all sports hope for their teams---even Jake’s Dolp...
There’s stadium upgrades—and then there’s what Florida is planning at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
-The Gators unveiled plans yesterday on a $1.45 BILLION (!!) renovation of ‘The Swamp,’ the most expensive and comprehensive
renovation in college football history

CBS Sports put all FBS QBS in different categories, and lists Anthony Colandrea in the “High Ceiling, Low Floor” group…pretty much what you’d expect out of a supposed ‘gunslinger’
-Colandrea is joined in the category by Oklahoma’s John Mateer; South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers; Baylor’s DJ Lagway; and Colorado’s
Juju Lewis
-The comment on Colandrea from CBS is: “he’s known as a fearless riverboat gambler and should bring a mobile element that the
Huskers didn’t have with Raiola at the wheel.” That part is true…but are fans ready to experience the highs and lows of the riverboat
gambler that he could be?

Over/Unders are out for B1G teams for the 2026 college football season…can Nebraska go over their 6.5 wins projection?
-BetMGM put out their numbers yesterday, listing Indiana and Oregon both at 10.5 wins; Ohio State at 9.5 wins; Penn State, USC and
Michigan at 8.5 wins; Washington, Iowa and Illinois at 7.5 wins; and Nebraska, UCLA, Minnesota and Wisconsin at 6.5 wins

Did Nebrasketball’s success this year make you more interested in the NBA Draft because you know more names?
-Mock drafts right now are pleasing to read, because nearly the whole first round is college players---not a ton of foreign players,

If you were hoping for a great non-conference slate for Nebrasketball after an epic season, prepare for disappointment

Dana Holgorsen’s job in 2026 is to make the offense much better than what it was last year with a worse QB (on paper) than what he had last season…how will that work out?
-The World-Herald’s Sam McKewon wrote about it yesterday, pointing out that Nebraska’s offense over the last 4 years really hasn’t been good
enough—especially in 2023, the first year of Matt Rhule. It did improve the last 2 years but not to the point where it is acceptable

The NCAA is critical of the Brendan Sorsby injunction, but is rendered pretty much useless in stopping it---what exactly CAN’T you do to be kept out of college sports?
-The money has simply gotten too big and out of control—credit the NCAA for being somewhat better recently on not letting players get
ridiculous amounts of years in school to continue to collect NIL money, but it’s still not fixed
