Mrs. Allen was helping one of our kids with geometry homework tonight and that led to a conversation about how the two of us are polar opposites when it came to school. Jason even explained how he made it through math in high school.

When did fast food places start charging for to-go bags? Mrs. Allen doesn’t ever want to pay five cents for a bag!

How do you make major decisions? Should we just buy a magic 8 ball?

Do you prefer double dates over just going as a couple? What started out as a run to get coffee turned into a full-on outing! We even brought home some gems!

This week was kind of a cluster. And somehow, we went from cluster to moon signs to calling my grandma.

I can’t believe what I witnessed today driving through town. Mrs. Allen didn’t see it (them). So, I hit her with it tonight and she was a little uncomfortable.

Do you have any antiques in your home that are worth anything? We really only have a couple of items that are old. The most prized possession was purchased with green stamps and it’s not worth much. But it does have sentimental value!

I woke up to a text from my grandma that came in at 11:58 last night! We’ll share that with you. I also think I may have witnessed a mating session today.

This is not my week! On Sunday, I wrecked Kimberly’s dirt bike. Tonight, the cheap toilet paper got the best of me. I can’t wait for the full moon tomorrow!

Apparently, our kids were telling dad one story and mom a completely different story while she was gone. And did dad do anything right while mom was out of town? Sheesh!

Momma is back from Minnesota! We thought we’d pop in just for a few minutes and do a quick trip recap. We’ll save the medical stuff for another time. The good news is that the Mayo Clinic was worth the trip!

The kids are already crying, and mom hasn’t even left yet for Minnesota. She’s pretty much set to lift off in the morning for the Mayo Clinic. Now, can dad handle the other four kids while she’s gone? We’re about to find out!

We had a plan when we walked into the studio and then the wheels came off! We started talking about our St. Patrick’s Day meal and somehow that led us to calling my mom to ask her whether or not I had ever eaten cow tongue.

You’ll never guess how Mrs. Allen’s day started! Let’s just say she’s even less of a fan of the cat! We also briefly explain why there wasn’t a long podcast last night. Spoiler alert…I shut it down mid podcast!

It’s Friday the 13th and there was some really weird stuff going on today! What on earth was a lady doing fingering her belly button outside McDonald’s? And that’s not all I saw today.

We walked into the studio tonight and it was a little salty. At one point I closed my laptop and was just going to go back inside before we even got started. But we rallied and talked about a handful of topics like a triangle of hurt feelings, Amelia Earhart, redacted files, and what it would be like to downsize.

Why is it that ladies like to listen to sad or mid to slow tempo songs? Are they depressed or is it something else?

Do your kids take your stuff and claim it like it’s theirs? I’m noticing a trend here with some of my stuff. Then Mrs. Allen reminded me that one of her most valuable possessions was hijacked by one of our kids.

Why on earth would Elephants be the topic tonight? You can thank my mother-in-law. And now Mrs. Allen is on board with getting elephants!

The two of us went to clean up our rental house in California over the weekend. We probably won’t forget this experience anytime soon. Spoiler alert…Mrs. Allen got the worst of it!

What better than staying up until midnight with kids that needs help with something? How about going to a tax appointment running on fumes the next day!

Mrs. Allen roped me into being one of her VIP readers for Read Across America Week. So today I went to the elementary school and read to a kindergarten class. And I thought have five kids was a lot to handle!
