Garage Talk with Jason and Kimberly

Today’s reading session at the school was much better! And do other parents have as much trouble as we do with our kids to picking up after themselves? I bring it up and now I’m getting accused of calling our kids names. I bring it up and now I’m getting accused of calling our kids names.

Mrs. Allen roped me into being one of her VIP readers for Read Across America Week. So today I went to the elementary school and read to a kindergarten class. And I thought have five kids was a lot to handle!

Did someone really die in the bathroom of a Greyhound bus today? Our teenagers sent us a video this morning on their way to school. Don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom. Mrs. Allen shares a story about a time she went on a bus ride she knew nothing about going in.

One of us saw a guy at a gas station the other day holding an endangered species! It took one of us right back to the 90’s and it was a total blast from the past. So, we had to go down memory lane and back to the 90’s.

We came home with more pigs than we planned on. You’ll never guess how that happened! And somehow, we went from talking about bringing home an extra pig to pet stories from out childhood. And Jason may have to sleep on the couch tonight.

We jumped into the studio late tonight to hammer out a quicky before things get real tomorrow! We are going to attempt to buy pigs at an auction, and we’ve never done that before.

Do all cats go crazy after they get snipped? And we have some unwanted creatures in the garage!

Mrs. Allen brought a few life hacks to the pod tonight. Who knew that you could use this to clean your water bottle?

We almost skipped tonight. There was a little bit of a disagreement before got started. Then it spilled over into the podcast. She thinks we we’re fighting. I disagree!

A local story about a missing rafter made national news. This story had a good ending. But could you imagine being stuck in the wilderness with snow falling in Oregon in February? No thanks!

We’ve sat on this for a long time. We decided it was time to share the story of what almost happened to Kimberly and our oldest daughter. We are only sharing because we don’t want it to happen to you. Trafficking is real and you need to keep your head on a swivel!

Who is reading for UFO disclosure? And Mrs. Allen is in a ball busting mood after and unapproved purchase for the studio!

McSteamy has passed away. RIP Eric Dane! Don’t worry, Mrs. Allen turned it around and we ended on a positive note. What is she giving up for lent?

Mrs. Allen brought her magazine into the studio tonight. So much for the days of Cosmo! She’s moved on to a grandma magazine.

It turns out more people than Mrs. Allen thought showered after games. Then we went down the shower rabbit hole! Can you believe that some people don’t wash their feet? And how many married couples shower together?

Mrs. Allen and I are not the same when it comes to wearing clothes. We also learned that she never did a certain thing in high school! Spoiler alert…I did it all the time! She doesn’t believe me that we thought it was totally normal thing to do.

This one is kind of all over the place. Mrs. Allen gives us her take on the Super Bowl. And one of us learned a lesson about ginger today. Warning…do not pop the whole thing in your mouth!!!

For those of you following the medical situation with our daughter, she’s headed to the Mayo Clinic. This has been a long time coming! Mom will be going with her, and dad is going to try and hold it down at home for a week.

Proving once again that we are opposites in many ways. Who knew that running a few errands would lead us to tonight’s topic.
