FAMU Football has moved Chris Cash to the defensive coordinator position after the defense had yet another night of pooping the bed at home and rendering another streak to the annals of history.

While football is reeling, basketball is getting started and the teams could give a bit of hope to fans. Neither team won the basketball games they played in but both were able to get some attention.

Along with Basketball the Volleyball Team is making a push to claim another title.

It will always be fun and we will always seek...

The Standard is the Standard was the line from last year and this year we have been reminded post game about what the team talked about during the week.

But this season has been a complete and abject disaster on the football field.

But outside of the football space FAMU athletics have been pretty solid on the playing surface.

Now you feel how you feel about FAMU administration but the Track program is still healthy, baseball is still solid, basketball season starts this week and we might be heading over to UCF on...

This Football season has not lived up to the expectations of this and many other FAMU fans.

Some parts of the season have been downright scary as this has been the nightmare that many a fan has never hoped to see.

In the midst of this team will play host to Southern University on Halloween at Bragg Memorial Stadium.

Along with Football season coming to a close FAMU basketball has opened the season and some of the outcomes that are equally as scary for those that are in love with the program.

After playing Jackson State on the Football field many FAMU fans again came away from a game saying that they were close enough to win but the difference was turnovers.

FAMU’s defense was solid and played a good game but yet again the teams best efforts to get a win were thwarted.

The Turnovers have been an issue for much of the season but the game against Jackson State saw a season high for turnovers, well before we have our Monday review show with the Avengers.

FAMU football played against Alabama State in a place that has been very good to FAMU over the years.

After last year's shellacking of the Rattlers at Bragg Stadium, the Rattlers got some get back this year by ruining Alabama State University's Homecoming.

Along with success on the football field the other FAMU teams understood the assignment.

FAMU Volleyball dominated UAPB and Grambling at home which is huge as FAMU Volleyball is sitting at the top of the SWAC standings.

All this while FAMU Cross Country finished in the top ten...

Hurricanes are notorious for causing change and destruction.

Well in this case Hurricane Isaias is causing the what was going to be a homecoming in the sun to be a rush to beat this incoming storm.

This game is very compelling as FAMU is desperately looking for a victory and Alabama State is reeling after playing in similar weather conditions in Daytona.

In that showing the Hornets were not able to best the bad weather in Florida but will the Hornets see a different fate against the visiting Rattlers.

FAMU Volleyball held it down this week as the Football team was Idle on a Bye week. And Oh what a time to be off. The SWAC had multiple upsets and so did the MEAC. But the talking point for the week will definitely be the Mississippi Valley State comeback and BCU scoring an upset at home.

Saturday was a great day to reset because it was Wild in those HBCU football streets.

And what a time to be able to play spoiler for some of the teams.

Even comparing last year's team to this version of FAMU football has many in Rattler Nation wondering what has gone wrong?

FAMU football is gearing up for a great season, starting right at home where the Rattler spirit runs deep. We hit the ground running with that high-stakes Home Opener against Albany State.

But let us finish our preseason predictions first up, we take on Southern University in a battle that always brings pure fireworks and electric energy to the field. Then the Rattlers pack up and head out on the road to clash with Alcorn State University in a grueling matchup that will test this team's true grit and road resilience.

Alabama A&M and Florida A&M University is not a rivalry of any sort, especially on the football field. This is largely because the Bulldogs have yet to defeat the Rattlers since the two have been in the SWAC.

Albany State makes a return trip across the border to open the season against FAMU and even the most discerning of fans believes that the Rams will need persons from the Field to Mob the Rattlers if they hope to pull off an upset.

FAMU Fans had all of less than half of a week to be upset about the Football teams Preseason rankings before news that FAMU came to an agreement with the University of Georgia that cancelled a potential $650,000 pay day.

This at a time when the Athletic department is on a Strike tour and the very same athletic department is asking fans to contribute for the purchase of basketball uniforms.

While some are angry about the loss exposure, the bigger issue is lost revenue at a time when multiple fund raising opportunities are all circling around...

It is way to early truly start the preseason predictions, largely because we are still waiting to get information about what some of the final rosters will look like.

But the aggregate of what many of the FAMU Faithful are looking for is growth.

Whether it be on or off the field FAMU faithful want to see growth, especially from those who have been placed on campus under this current administration.

At a time when many people are going fishing it has become apparent that FAMU’s coaches are working on stocking the room with talent.

Tallahassee has one hope for a championship baseball team this year and it all comes down to a Sunday game, but the only Gold that matters is the SWAC Championship.
