The REAL Reason Draco Didn’t Identify Harry Potter at Malfoy Manor
Yesterday at 7:00 PM

Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today, we’re discussing a segment from the Deathly Hallows involving Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter. More specifically, we’ll be addressing the moment that Draco Malfoy FAILS to identify Harry Potter in the presence of his father and fellow Death Eaters.

What I want to explore is..WHY? Did Draco simply FAIL to recognize Harry? Was it an act of self-preservation? Or, was this Draco’s chance at some form of redemption?

It all begins on chapter 23 of the Deathly Hallows - Malfoy Manor...

What If Snape NEVER Betrayed Voldemort? (CHANGES EVERYTHING)
07/27/2026

This one’s going to be a doozy. Severus Snape is perhaps one of the most important characters in the Harry Potter series. He was the man who first delivered the prophecy to Voldemort. He was the man trusted with secrets powerful enough to decide the outcome of the war.

He was the man who protected the son of the woman he loved, even when that boy hated him. And perhaps most importantly, he was the man who chose the mission over redemption, knowing history would never forgive him. In fact, Snape’s role in Harry Potter is s...

MAJOR Update Could Change EVERYTHING for HBO’s Harry Potter Series…
07/24/2026

The Harry Potter series is scheduled to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in December of this year, and with that date fast approaching: we’ve got some updates. Now, the first Harry Potter book and film is generally considered the lightest and most child-friendly in the entire series. And as the books and films go on, they get progressively DARKER and DARKER- which made a lot of sense given that much of the original target audience was aging alongside the actors.

But in a recent development, HBO revealed that their upcoming adaptation of Harry Potter and th...

Was Sirius’s Mirror a HUGE Harry Potter Plot Hole?
07/21/2026

One of a matching pair, the enchanted mirror allowed its owner to communicate instantly with whoever possessed its counterpart simply by speaking their name into the glass. Sirius and James had originally used the mirrors to speak to one another while serving separate detentions at Hogwarts, and decades later, Sirius gives James’s mirror to Harry so that the two of them could remain in contact without relying on owls, fireplaces or the Floo Network.

And of all the tragic mistakes made throughout the Harry Potter series, few are as frustrating as Harry’s failure to actually USE...

HBO’s Harry Potter Has a MASSIVE New Problem...
07/17/2026

Ever since HBO revealed the first full trailer for the Harry Potter series, almost every argument has focused on casting and whether or not the series is staying true to their claim of being a ‘faithful adaptation’ of the books. But the series may actually have a much bigger problem—one that HBO is already restructuring the entire production to solve.

25 Things You MISSED in Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone
07/10/2026

Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. This is part 1 of a video series where I’ll be diving in to the Harry Potter books and taking a look, chapter by chapter, at all of the mistakes that were made. Starting with book 1: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

I’m going to be placing a particular focus on instances in which factual errors were made or canon was somehow contradicted. Trivial errors like typos / grammatical issues will not be focused on this video.

Harry Potter’s 35 Biggest Plot Holes Explained (MEGA COMPILATION)
07/06/2026

Over the last few months, I’ve made a dedicated video for each of the seven Harry Potter books, breaking down five plot holes in each.

And today, since I’m going away for 10 days — to Scotland- the HP motherland of all places — I thought I’d put together a compilation bringing them all together. That means we’re going book by book, from The Philosopher’s Stone to The Deathly Hallows, and revisiting 35 moments where the rules of the Wizarding World don’t quite hold up.

3 DARKEST Moments from the Harry Potter Books (Not Shown in the Movies)
07/03/2026

Ron Weasley’s older brothers, Fred and George Weasley, are typically known by fans as the mischievous twin brothers defined by pranks, jokes, and light-hearted chaos. And while most of the time their behaviour consists of harmless troublemaking, there are actually a few moments throughout the series where Fred and George’s actions become far more questionable. There are three moments in particular that come to mind, only 1 of which made it in to the films. So if you’re a movie-only fan, then some of this is going to be eye opening for you.

Let’s peel bac...

Who Created the Unforgivable Curses? I Finally Figured It Out.. - Harry Potter Theory
06/25/2026

The 3 Unforgivable Curses: Imperio, Crucio and Avada Kedavra, are perhaps the most infamous spells in the entire Wizarding World.

But despite their widespread notoriety, very little is actually known about them. Why are they unforgivable? How do they work? And most importantly..

Who actually created them?

Why Didn’t Grindelwald Recruit Tom Riddle? - Harry Potter Theory
06/22/2026

A while back I made a video called ‘Why Didn't Voldemort Try to RECRUIT Grindelwald?’, and basically- the focus of that video was why Voldemort never made any attempts to recruit an imprisoned Grindelwald at Nurmengard. On both occasions that Voldemort rose to power, Grindelwald was sitting in a locked tower, so it always felt a bit peculiar to me that he wouldn’t have tried to recruit the most powerful resource at his disposal..Especially at times when things weren’t looking particularly good for him.

But in today’s video, I want to explore...

Hey everyone, Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. So far in this PLOT HOLE series we’ve covered Philosopher’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire.

The REAL Reason Dumbledore Let Sirius ROT In Azkaban - Harry Potter Theory
06/05/2026

Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. At the end of the First Wizarding War, there were a lot of GUILTY people being charged with some pretty heinous crimes. Voldemort was gone, pretty much everyone affiliated with him was caught, and the Ministry and greater wizarding community were left with the incredibly difficult task of prosecuting those who had sided with Voldemort. And I say DIFFICULT because it was actually a fairly complicated process figuring out who was genuinely bad, and who was just operating under the Imperius Curse.

The Harry Potter Plot Hole That Changes EVERYTHING
06/02/2026

In the wizarding world, few magical concepts spark as many “what if” debates as the ability to alter the past. If it could be used to save both Buckbeak and Sirius, why didn’t anyone just go a little further? Why not stop Cedric Diggory’s death? Or warn Lily and James before Voldemort arrived? Why not save Dumbledore, or even stop Voldemort’s rise altogether by sabotaging Tom Riddle’s past?

5 MASSIVE Plot Holes in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
05/29/2026

So far in this PLOT HOLE series we’ve covered Philosopher’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Prisoner of Azkaban. And if one thing has become obvious through this process, it’s that the Harry Potter books (although incredible) are not without their little inconsistencies and world-building issues. And in Goblet of Fire… Things get a bit worse.

Because this is the book where Rowling massively expands the scope of the wizarding world. Suddenly we’ve got international magical schools, the Triwizard Tournament, the Quidditch World Cup, Voldemort’s full return. The world becomes much bigger, much darker, and...

5 HUGE Harry Potter Plot Holes in Prisoner of Azkaban
05/26/2026

Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory.

So far in this series we’ve covered Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets (parts 1 and 2, go check those out if you haven’t already), and if there’s one thing that’s abundantly clear it’s that the deeper you dig into these books, the more strange little contradictions and logical issues you start uncovering. And in that respect, Prisoner of Azkaban might be the most interesting one yet. Because unlike the first two books, Azkaban introduces concepts that fundamentally change how the wizarding world works..For e...

5 MASSIVE Plot Holes in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
05/23/2026

Hey everyone, welcome to Harry Potter Theory.

In my most recent video I broke down some of the biggest plot holes in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. And before I had even finished writing the script for that video, I realized there were probably enough plot holes in each book for this to be a video series.

Once you start looking closely enough, you begin noticing all sorts of strange contradictions and moments where some of the internal logic feels..Dubious at best. And Chamber of Secrets, which we’ll be focusing on toda...

5 HUGE Harry Potter Plot Holes (Philosopher’s Stone Edition)
05/20/2026

Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. As much as I enjoy the Harry Potter books, to say that they are without their faults would be massively dishonest. In fairness there are 7 books equating to over 4000 pages, so mistakes are probably inevitable when you’re dealing with a story so LONG and so COMPLEX. But regardless of that, mistakes DO exist. Specifically, I’m talking about PLOT HOLES.

Before we get stuck into it, I do think it’s important to quickly define what a plot hole actually is, because online, the term gets thrown around for basically everything. I know...

Hagrid Bought Fluffy From the Most EVIL DARK Wizard in Harry Potter (THEORY)
05/16/2026

For casuals, the name Herpo the Foul isn’t going to mean a lot, and that’s because his origins come from the deepest parts of Harry Potter lore. But those who do know the name will also know that he was one of the darkest wizards in wizarding history, the man (if you could call him that) credited with creating the very first Horcrux—crossing a magical line so horrific most witches and wizards barely discuss it.

But Herpo didn’t stop there, as he actually went on to conduct more and more twisted...

What Spell Did Molly Weasley Use to KILL Bellatrix? - Harry Potter Theory
05/13/2026

Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Today we’re going to be taking a closer look at one of the most satisfying and honestly most surprising moments in the entire Battle of Hogwarts: Molly Weasley defeating Bellatrix Lestrange. More specifically, we’ll be examining how the books and films portray the moment differently- because despite reaching the same outcome, they actually handle Bellatrix’s death in VERY different ways. We’ll also FINALLY be putting the question to bed of what spell she actually used to kill her, because I think I’ve got a definitive...

The OTHER Dark Wizards of the Wizarding World - Harry Potter Explained
05/10/2026

The Harry Potter series makes Britain often (and by often, I mean..Always) feel like the center of all wizarding conflict. Voldemort. Death Eaters. First Wizarding War. Second Wizarding War. All that good stuff.

But to me the idea that almost all of the global wizarding problems can be narrowed down to a 200,000 square kilometre stretch of islands has always felt a little hard to believe. And while sure, 200,000 square kilometres SOUNDS like a lot- let’s not forget that earth’s surface area is over 510 MILLION.

That means the...

Dark History of the Wizarding World (MEGA COMPILATION)
05/06/2026

Hey everyone,

Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory.

Today I’ve got a special mega compilation for you guys that focuses on the darkest aspects of the wizarding world. Rather than looking at individual characters, the videos focus will be on the world itself- taking a closer look at things like forbidden magic, dark spells, institutions like Azkaban, origins of dementors and the systems that have shaped wizarding society behind the scenes.

Because this is a compilation, you might notice some inconsistent audio levels, numbering, or even a bit of repeated in...

Why the First Wizarding War Was SO MUCH WORSE Than the Second - Harry Potter Explained
05/03/2026

By the time Harry Potter sets foot in Hogwarts in the first book/film, the First Wizarding War is already a thing of the past. And at the same time, the Second Wizarding War is beginning to take shape, the primary focus of the books and films.

But what I’ve always found interesting is that despite its scale and destruction, The First Wizarding War is typically treated as little more than distant history. The Second Wizarding War wasn’t great either, there were a lot of lives lost and for a while it look...

Why Are House Elves So POWERFUL? - Harry Potter Theory
04/30/2026

Hey everyone, Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Today, we’re going to once again be discussing House Elves—but this time..From a slightly different angle. I’ve already explored their history, and I’ve already taken a closer look at how they ended up in servitude. But one thing I’ve never dissected in much detail is…

How powerful they are.

Was Dumbledore REALLY More Powerful Than Grindelwald? - Harry Potter Theory
04/28/2026

Dumbledore BEAT Grindelwald in their epic duel in 1945..So that means he HAS TO BE more powerful..Right? Well, not exactly.

Today we’re going to be taking a closer at a debate as old as time: Who is more powerful? Albus Dumbledore or Gellert Grindelwald? The answer might surprise you.

Did Harry Potter Really Have No Other Relatives? (The DARK Truth)
04/25/2026

In the recent HBO Harry Potter trailer we got to see something we’ve never seen before- our first glimpse at Harry’s grandparents on his mother’s side. They appear standing alongside Vernon & Petunia Dursley in their wedding photo, with (presumably) Vernon’s parents on one side, and Petunia’s parents (aka, LILY’s parents) on the other.

And with this new bit of info, it got me thinking- what DID happen to the rest of Harry’s family? Cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, second-cousins..What happened to them all? Were they casualties of war? And why d...

Today we’re going to discuss 50 MORE events after the Harry Potter story came to an end..If you haven’t seen part 1 already, go and watch that after! Link in the pinned comment and description.

Like I mentioned in my first video, each section covers multiple points which amounts to around 50 bits of info altogether. And as with the first video, these details come from canon sources like the epilogue, interviews, and extended Pottermore writings from J.K. Rowling.

Hermione Granger's Life AFTER the Deathly Hallows: FULL Timeline (1998-2026)
04/21/2026

After the Battle of Hogwarts, the wizarding world was finally able to celebrate the defeat of Lord Voldemort and the end of the Second Wizarding War- ushering in a new era of peace.

For the first time in years, witches and wizards were no longer living under open tyranny, and the institutions that had been corrupted by Voldemort’s regime could finally begin to recover. Hogwarts needed to be rebuilt, the Ministry needed to be reformed, and countless lives needed to be pieced back together.

But while Voldemort’s defe...

Today we’re going to be taking a look at everything that happened after the main Harry Potter story came to an end. After the Deathly Hallows, once Voldemort was defeated and the Battle of Hogwarts was over.

Will the Harry Potter Reboot Use the 'Proper" Voldemort? (Unused Original Design)
04/15/2026

Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter theory. Now, if you've been anywhere near the internet lately you already know that a brand new Harry Potter series is coming to HBO. It's set to premiere Christmas 2026, with each of the seven books getting its own season. If you somehow missed all of this, quite frankly I’m amazed.

The hype is still building and the teaser trailer alone has amassed a whopping 10 million views so far.

But there's one thing I want to explore above everything else, an...

The Most TERRIFYING Fate in Harry Potter (It’s Not Death)
04/14/2026

The soul. You can split it, you can curse it, you can even anchor it to the living world through dark and forbidden magic. The soul, in the wizarding world, is more than just a metaphysical concept; it is a tangible, manipulable force that reflects the very essence of a person's being.

But what happens it when someone moves on to the next plane of existence?

Does Casting Black Snape ACTUALLY Change the Story? (Let’s Break It Down)
04/12/2026

It’s been a couple of weeks now since the official release of the first teaser trailer for HBO’s Harry Potter reboot and that means we’ve finally gotten a glimpse at what the show has to offer. No more speculation, it’s all there in plain sight (at least, a lot of it). If I’m honest I have to say that while the show will never (at least for me) match up to the original films, I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of what we saw. I have been cautiously optimistic throughout this entire process, and I thin...

What Spells Do the “Good Guys” Use to Kill Death Eaters - Harry Potter Theory
04/11/2026

Murder or KILLING splits the soul. This is reinforced time and time again.

But despite this fact, we see it happen again and again throughout the Harry Potter series, and not just by the bad guys.

It makes sense for Death Eaters to kill..It’s clear where their moral compass lies and I would presume that KILLING (and the subsequent impact on their soul) is the price they’re willing to pay to achieve their cause.

But this topic also raises a much bigger question.

Be...
