How good people learn to believe nonsense. During WW II in the South Pacific, a cargo plane crashed on an island with natives who had never seen a plane before. People, food, and supplies came out of that plane and appeared as a miracle to the natives. Generations later, the natives keep building straw cargo planes and pray for the “miracle” to return. Cargo cults are everywhere!
