Paul has spent three and one half chapters telling us about the bad news. We are all sinners and there is not one righteous on the planet. Therefore we are doomed. Now Paul switches to the BUT GOD event where Jesus enters the fray for us and by virtue of this death, burial and resurrection we can be justified, declared innocent of all sin! And that is the Good News we will share today!!

Paul is now in his final stage of the bad news before the good news of the Gospel. He will anticipate a big question; Since both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin, then what is the benefit of being a Jew? And of course Paul will give a magnificent answer: He says that the Jews have been entrusted with God's word. You have had God's word to lead and guide you. And man oh man what great benefit that is!

Paul will now use a smart tool in dealing with people. Encouragement before correction. He will lay out all the privileges of being a Jewish person AND THEN he will will bring out the deeper truth. Being Jewish doesn't save you. Circumcision doesn't save you. And he will finalize it by saying that a real Jew is one of the heart, not of the flesh.

Paul now takes us into the deep rooted reason as to why humans sin and more importantly, justify their sin. One of the most telling statements of Paul is, "Professing to be wise they became fools." This is in response to man moving away from God and making themselves into mini-gods and justifying sin. Tonight we will see Paul, like a courtroom prosecuting attorney, making a case for the problem with the world.

The great theme of the letter to the Romans is "The Just Shall Live by Faith." We are justified by our Faith/Trust in Jesus as the only God and that He came to save us by dying on a cross and rose from the dead three days later. When we truly believe that, we are justified, declared innocent of all sin. And let me add, this results in we who are unrighteous (Which is all of us) are now declared righteous because we take on the righteousness of Jesus. Paul will continue that theme in this study.

As we begin one of the great theological letters, Paul jumps right out of the gate with a description of what he is; A Bond-slave CALLED of God. The reality is, we are all "called of God bond-slaves." Therefore tonight we will examine this truth along with many others as we begin our journey through Romans.

We now come to the end of the Bowl judgements. These are the final judgements on the earth dwellers during the Tribulation period. It all culminates with the drawing out of an army and a final battle. This all points to the physical return of Jesus to earth in the second coming. We now come to a time in the Great 7-year Tribulation where we find that God is "Finished." In fact in God opens the Temple in heaven and announces that 7 angels will pour out the final 7 plagues and all the judgements will end. Sometimes we hear people say things like, "God spoke to me" and we may think, "God has never spoken to me." We have already seen on mulitple occasions that the Anti-Christ is a copy cat. He seeks to sound and act like Jesus. The problem is, he isn't. He is "anti." As we continue in Revelation we now turn to a second Beast whom some call the "False Prophet." We could call him the "anti-Holy Spirit." In any case we now see a major copy cat deception of the enemy with revealing of an "Unholy Trinity." And tonight we will examine this false prophet.

We now come to the moment where we get an up close and personal look at the Anti-Christ. Which John the Revelator calls the Beast. Now things begin to heat up even more during the Great 7 year Tribulation. But not in the way we’d expect. And of course the Tribulation is full of unexpected events. But now two people make their re-entry into the society. They are called the Two Witnesses. I believe they are Moses and Elijah. Others have other opinions of who they are. What matters is why they are here. They return to earth as great evangelists joining forces with the 144,000 preaching the Gospel to the Earth dwellers in the Tribulation. And why? We come to that moment in our Revelation End Times teaching where we find the Jerusalem Temple has been rebuilt. The interesting thing is, there is no Jewish Temple on the Temple mount today. This leads us to believe that they will rebuild the Temple. But there is a problem with that; there is a Mosque currently on the Temple mount. So how will the Jewish Temple be rebuilt as we see in Revelation. Join me as we study this and a few other important items as we continue moving through Revelation.

When I paid off my home the title deed of ownership was sent to me. It took seventeen years and it is a great feeling to own the property outright. Adam sold off planet earth six thousand years ago when he sinned. But there will be a moment in the future of the earth where Jesus, due to His worthiness, will take back the planet because He paid the price. In chapter five of Revelation we will examine the transaction of the moment Jesus takes back our home we call Earth.

We now come to the last church in Revelation. The church at Laodicea. These guys look great on the outside, but Jesus says, they are in denial about their real selves. And one of the tells we find of their deep denial is in Revelation 3:17 where Jesus says, “You say.” That is their denial statement. They are “saying” they are okay. They are “saying” have together. They are “saying” this is God’s will…but it’s not. Denial is real and it is destructive. Join me as we dive into the last of the seven churches in Revelation!

As we continue through the seven churches we come to the church in Sardis. This local church needs to get back on track. Jesus informs them that they “have a name that they are alive, but are in fact dead.” That is not a good report card for a local church. It seems one of their problems was they were living in past glory. Too many churches and individual Christians live this way. Join me as we examine this and what corrections need to be made as we continue our studies through Revelation.
