Crime in Sports

This week, we finish up this 3 parter, with Michael waiting for his trial, and his team still has his back. A plea deal saves his freedom, and creer, but he never loses the stigma of being a bad guy. Once body starts to betray him, the NFL wants nothing to do with him anymore. He tries a new league, but ultimately receeds in obscurity, before being arrested, yet again, on a very familar charge!!

Have Jon Gruden have our back with everything, tell everyone that religion has made you not be violent, anymore, and find o...

This week, we talk more about an NFL player, who never seems to quite "get it". That includes both on the field, where he never lives up to expectations, but even more with his off the field problems. He's again charged with domestic abuse, as he's accused of not only putting his wife's life in danger, but also the babysitter, and his own 2 year old son. This leads to a huge sweep under the rug, from NFL, and being backed by his coach. Will the legal system be so forgiving??

This week, we talk about a football player, who started his legel troubles while still in college. His huge biceps became legendary, but so did his constant arrests. He's also on a Super Bowl winning team, making everyone think that all has turned around. The problem is, there was always something under the surface. Either way, he always has an excuse. Even when a cop watched him abuse his girlfriend. Will he be able to keep it together, or will it all come crashing down?

Be a part of an upstanding military family, work hard o...

This week, we look at a basketball player that seemed to have everything that someone could need to be an NBA star. The problem is, he didn't. But he did becaome a criminal, with constant arrests, and even a fake name, once his own name was equivilent to "liar". He stole from teammates, churches, and porn producers, with equal enthusiasm. He led police on a foot chase. Tried to start his own baskeball league, and fed basketball players ramen noodles. This leads to a lot of prison time, and a hilarious story!!

Be the best h...

This week, we look at a muscular woman, who was on the Finnish version of "American Gladiators". She pumped herself full of steroids, leading to some very erratic behavior. She started bar fights with men, causing her to be banned from many establishments. But she also participated in murder, dismemberment, and even cannibalism. Her murder partner described "watching a man's face melt", while cooking it in a frying pan. She is even the main suspect in the disappearence of a 16 year old girl!! Wild stuff!!

Pump yourself full of testosterone, shoot a tennis ball cannon a...

This week, we finish this tale with attitude becoming more important than talent. Kevin continues to be a problem for any team he joins. Despite always putting up good numbers, he bickers, argues, and worst of all, gets arrested, more than the average MLB team will put up with. He even gets in fights on the golf course. He almost loses an eye & is diagnosed with a difficult disease. But there is one story here, that if true, is one of the worst, most vile things an athlete on this show has ever done!!

This week, we continue the story of a baseball MVP, who can't seem to stay on the same team. His past associations begin to haunt him, when a man who was living at this house, is arrested for the murder of a police officer. But before he could even be traded, he's arrested for a most horrible crime. His attitude becomes a real problem, along with his ballooning weight, which caused one witer to label him "both roly and poly". He also considers quitting the game, but stays. Will his attitude get him run out of baseball??

This week, we talk about a former MVP baseball player, who made one of the most memorable plays of a generation. He came up in gangs, and general street crime, not even really playing high school baseball. Somehow, he made that into a lucrative baseball career, even winning a world series ring. The more success he achieved, the more his head seemed to grow, with odd behavior resulting. His first bit of trouble involves a gun, a girlfriend & a settlement. And it will only get crazier from here!!

Come up the hard way, with sports n...

This week, we talk about an old timey pro wrestler, who helped pioneer a lot of things that are still used in wrestling, today. He was a heel, who was way ahead of his time, causing riots among the fans, and even being stabbed, or jailed, multiple times. He ends up owning a bar in Philly, and is accused of murdering his wife, beating her so badly, that her mother didn't recognize her. But will that be enough to end up in prison??

Cause riots in towns all over the US with your heel tactics, w...

This week, we finish up our crazy tale, after Tommy has been sentenced to death. Hi murder accomplices also get their sentences, and we hear about the horrible life that created those murderers. Tommy tries to get his death penalty thrown out, based on what he claims is a lawyer, who doesn't "believe in" bipolar disorder & didn't want to even try to present his case & save his life. Will his horrific childhood, & constant head trauma make a difference???

Go off your meds, causing you to question reality, hire a lawyer who doesn't think bipolar disorder ac...

This week, we continue our story with Tommy, about to go on trial for a murder, with the death penalty on the table. He is convicted, but avoids execution. Once in prison, Tommy starts right up with getting trouble. He fights anyone he can, and even plans an escape attempt. This attempt goes horribly wrong, with 2 people ending up murdered, and Tommy with shotguns trained at his head. Will he survive prison?

Avoid the death penalty by getting life without parole, become a bigger menace in prison, than you were when you were on the ou...

This week, we look at a boxer, who may have had the worst childhood in Crime In Sports history. He suffered unmatched abuse by his father, who had also abused his teen mother. He was sent to live with all kinds of different people, while always having his father come back, to abuse him. He finally broke away from this terrible start, to a blossoming boxing career, but that's cut short by getting arrested. For murder. He was accused, and the state decided to go for the death penalty! What will become of his saga, in the next couple...

This week, we talk about a pro skateboarder, who didn't have the same start as many skaters. He came from a rough background, with no father, and a drug addicted mother. But he thought skate shoes were pretty cool, so a career was born. He makes some major waves, with a fashion label, and collaborations with famous rappers like Snoop. He ends up doing something amazingly stupid, killing a man. You'd think that would teach him a lesson, but he allegedly does something even more crazy, as soon as he gets out of prison!

This week, we tell you all about an NFL player, who didn't last very long in the league. Instead, he buried himself in mountains of cocaine. But with no money coming in, he turned to crime to pay for his ever growing habit. He also had some terrible tragedy, that he almost made even worse. Teammates, coaches & family all try to help him, but he won't stop getting arrested. Maybe it's the cocaine. Maybe it's his 71 IQ. But either way, he destroys hsi life, almost beyond repair. Can he turn it all around??

This week, we talk about an Australian swimmer, who nearly won Olympic gold. Despite never getting back to the games, he was a huge celebrity, even marrying a famous tv personality, and being a power couple. But eventually, his mental issues, and lack of career led him first to doing ecstasy, and loving to party. This leads to full blown meth & heroin use. It also leads to a major drug distribution network, where all of his conversations were intercepted by police, making for good comedy, but a lot of criminal charges, due to repeated arrests!!

This week, we finish up this 2 parter with Clifford, trying to stay in the NBA, but constantly fighting with coaches, leaving him seemingly always in the doghouse. As his NBA career fizzles, he begins to truly see trouble. He hets arrested for such things as assaulting his mother, and stealing a Sheriff Deputy's off duty vehicle. Not to mention wandering the streets for years, panhandling for crack money, and standing on building ledges, while talking snakes tell him to jump. He eventually gets help for mental illness, and seems to be in a good place, until more tragedy strikes!!<...

This week, we talk about a basketball player, who seemed to have it all, with his future as bright as one could be. Problem was, laziness, a very entitled attitude, and a lack of scoring actual points led to him being in every coach's dog house. On top of that, he seems to have a police magnet in his body, and he will not stop saying stupid, and arrogant. things. He may be the perfect CIS subject!!

This week, we talk about a long time MLB player, with a gift for saying quotable things, and a love of the high life. He started out in humble beginnings, while saying his mother was "more of a sister", and waiting for Christmas presents that would never arrive. He had an impressive baseball career, only to have it prematurely derailed, mainly due to his attitude. After baseball, he drifted into the hobby of getting arrested quite a bit, and may actually be a fugitive, right now!!

Wait for your Dad's Christmas presents, only to find o...

This week, we finish up this tale of cult madness, with Yahweh Ben Yahweh having his day in court, and not quite understanding that he wasn't in charge there. They blame everything on Robert, and say that this "religion" isn't about violence. Meanwhile, Robert ends up in the federal witness relocation program, under a new name, but up to his old tricks. He gets busted for something very minor, but it may still be enough to put him away for life! Plus, he has a fresh murder chage leveled against him!!

Cliam that your religion i...

This week, we continue this murderous story, with Robert being a witness at the trial of 15 murders. He's quite the character on the stand, wearing his hair in a unique way, and brazenl;y showing no remorse for his murders. Yahweh himself also takes the stand to deny even having "followers", and claiming everyone is taking "kill white devils" the completly wrong way, and he actually only wants love & peace, while we just heard about brutal murder details. At the same time, people involved with the trial keep dying. Coincidence?

This week, we continue this tale, with Yahweh being arrested, and held for a major federal trial. The cult & its leader are accused of at least 14 murders, a massive amount of financial misdoings, and are even being accused of systematic child abuse. The star witness for all of this is Robert Rozier, who is now in federal witness protection, under a new name. Will Yahweh's thinly veiled threats to federal judges actually help him, or hurt him?

Gather all of your info to testify against a cult, buy a copy of Yahweh's book, and send it...

This week, we continue this craziness, with Robert finally getting his day in court, on 4 murder charges. But the cult decides that he's trying to extort them, for a new lawyer, so he is excommunicated. This leaves Robert free to begin to tell of the inner workings of the group, and their penchant for retribution, and violence. Meanwhile, the leader of the cult is being more accepted into polite society, and even the Florida business world, all while more tales of greed, sex, abuse, and outright violence begin to leak out from even more sources!!

This week, we continue this wild story, with the cult growing in power. They start to retaliate against anyone who isn't an enthusiastic member. This includes fire bombs in residential areas, accusations of child abuse, and a showdown with an entire apartment complex, that ends with 2 murders. Robert is accused of 3 murders, and awaiting trial, while the cult is held under a microscope. Mainly for their policy of beheadings, and carving off body parts!!

This week, we start the epic story of a man, who made it all the way to the NFl, but barely played, due to his off the field craziness. He ran from 32 arrest warrants in Canada, while playing for the CFL, and was also wanted in California. So, he ends up in Miami, Florida. There here joins a crazy cult, that lives communally in an old wharehouse, and under a leader that has insane ideas, and performs his own circumcisions, and "taught" young girls about sex.

This week, we finish up this crazy tale of a basketball player, that seemed to be working against his own interests. He is signed with a new team, but is deemed "too fat to play", and suspended. His attitude continues to be a problem, until the NBA has finally had enough. He ends up kicking around some other leagues, until finally actually turning his life around, and spending his time working with kids, and maybe, making a real difference. The shocking end to this story may actually leave you a little sad!!

Be deemed "too f...

This week, we continue the story of a baskeball player, who had the world in his hands, only for him to throw up an airball. In this part, he starts a public war with his coaches, because he doesn't feel like he's being treated the same as Michael Jordan. He then goes back to drug rehab, gets out, and everything seems fine. He's a model citizen. Until he goes back into rehab, for his gigantic cocaine habit. He gets a second chance, with another team, and seems like it's all coming together. But we've seen that before!!

This week, we talk about a basketball player, who was supposed to be one of the stars of the NBA. An allegation that he broke into a young woman's dorm room, and tried to sexually attack her doesn't even scare teams away. But it turns out that he was guilty, and it was only the start of his downhill slide. Michael Jordan was drafted to play his position, causing more depression, and more freebasing cocaine! He's a mess, and it only seems to be getting worse!!

This week, we continue the story of the Brazilian goalkeeper, accused of murdering his girlfriend, and feeding her to dogs, not to mention kidnapping his illegitimate son. Bruno must finally face a trial, but despite the outcome, he's back on the soccer field, in a scarily fast amount of time. Will the fans stand for their team, hiring a murderer? Or, will everyone be surpriused at how much support he gets? An absolutely mind boggling story!!

This week, we talk about a Brazilian soccer star, who ends up accused of one of the worst, most despicable things that human being could possibly be capable of. He came from a dirt poor neighborhood, never even thinking he could be a star. But he ends up famous, reasonably wealthy, and always looking for new women, despite being a married man. He impregnates an aspiring model, who had a 4 year run in porn, but he denies the baby isn't his. This woman disappears. Last seen heading to Bruno's farm. A surprise witness comes forward, and blows the case...

This week, we discuss a man who followed in his father's footsteps into the world of hockey, becoming a prospect, who seemed to be the future of whatever lucky team ended up with him. But there were problems, not only with his on ice production, but with his immaturity. There was a domestic incident that he was quite embarrassed about, there was his alleged substance use, which sent rumors flying around the league, and finally, a wild incident, where he threatens to dismember police officers in a very creative way, even making up a new dish!!

This week, we discuss an Aussie golfer, who had a very strange path to both golf, and crime. He grew up as a natural talent, but lacked some of the work ethic needed to become a star as a pro. So, he joined a criminally prominent biker gang, put the golf clubs aside. This continues until a very violent incident lands him in a terribly kept prison. Somehow, he turns it all around, and tries to continue in his golf journey. Will he stay out of trouble, and live up to his potential???

This week, we talk about a boxer, who seemed to have unlimited potential. He was supposed to be the savior of his weight class & he wanted to bring his people together. Unfortunately for him, he did bring his people together, but they came together with hatred for him, after he is convicted of one of the most gutless, and horrific murders that a person could imagine. The sheer brutality of it, and the innocence of the victim make him eligible for the death penalty!

This week, we finish up with Adrian, as he is starting to get a little bit too old to be an effective running back, but he's just the right age to go into massive amounts of debt, and get arrested, about once a year. He drives poorly while drinking, causes a delay on an LA to Houston flight, after he has to be removed from the plane, and is charged with domestic violence. He also still claims to hit his kids with a belt, and is in so much debt, that interest alone is thousands of dollars, every day...

This week, we check back in with Adrian, as he recovers from losing a son. He also quickly gets in trouble for a "whooping" that he put on his 4 year old son. He tries to say that beatings are what made him the man he became, but this beating seems to go beyond the norms, even for Texas, even though plenty of people say that he did nothing wrong. Pictures of the injuries horrify both a judge, and the NFL commissioner, and there are consequences in both of those arenas. But will the punishment fit the crime?

This week, we celebrate episode 500!! We look at one of the greatest players to ever play his position, in NFL history. He has countless accolades, to attest to his football prowess. Only problem is, he also had quite the prowess for ending up in handcuffs. We start with his difficult, and sometimes tragic childhood, only to see him overcome these things. He also seems to believe that he's possibly above the law, which will make for crazy times!!

This week, we finish up this wild story with Steve, getting back into the NHL, only to barely play, and end up unemployed. He fills in this employment gap by going down to Bolivia, and trying to smuggle cocaine into Canada, with a wild & fun excuse. He does his prison time, only to get back into drugs, and end up in more trouble, including running an "escort service" that definitely wasn't legal. All of this, and his sad, pitiful ending!

Keep telling NHL teams that you're ready to stop getting in trouble, tell a judge t...

This week, we look at a hockey player, who was a little too violent & short tempered, even for hockey. He never had a goal, other than playing hockey, and he achieved that by being drafted in the 1st round. But the only potential he ever lived up to was his potential for violence. He attacked opposing players, fans, coaches, trianers, timekeepers, and even the police! This temper leads to obvious arrests, and a big future of crime, ahead of him!!

This week, we look at an absolutely horrible human being, who competed in a sport that we've never talked about! Rock climbing! He was an idol of other climbers, as he made his own routes up mountains, and published several books about climbing. But under the surface, there was a violent sexual predator. He beat women, then threatened them if they dared report it. He sexually attacked women, and stalked them into hiding. He may have even assaulted dozens more, while climbing. Did he get what he deserved??

This week, we look at an Autralian football player, who came from hard times, and only made things worse for himself. He was an aggressive player, at a time when it was perfectly acceptable to hurl racial slurs upon a field of play. But none of that holds an answer to why he did the things he did. From a youthful conviction, for a reprehensible crime, to having an ongoing sexual "relationship" with a 14 year old girl, to having enough meth to keep all of Australia hyper, he couldn't have gone more wrong!

This week, we look at an MMA fighter, who had it rough & practically raised himself. He was a champion wrestler in high school, but didn't start his MMA career, until after a stint in prison. He also had a stint at Steak & Shake, making getting punched in the face sound like a good option. His career was decent, but he could never get out from under his legal problems. From robbery, to drug charges, to terrible driving, and a horrific alleged attack on his ex-girlfriend, he's a bit of a mess!!
