It's been a little over a week since the New Jersey Devils were eliminated from the playoffs. The goal was obviously to reach the playoffs, however, something isn't sitting right with me. The Devils have a lot of questions that need to be answered especially when it comes to injury. On a more positive note, the team recently signed Arseniy Gritsyuk to an entry-level contract.

The 2024-25 season is officially over. The New Jersey Devils lost Game 5 to the Carolina Hurricanes 5-4. The Hurricanes have eliminated the Devils in the playoffs twice in three seasons. This was also the second double-overtime matchup in this series. Obviously, expectations were a little higher for the Devils. But given the circumstances, they made the most of their opportunity.

Johnathan Kovacevic now joins the extensive injury list, too many players aren't contributing points wise, and the power-play is non-existent. We have a series once again. The New Jersey Devils picked up a big win against the Carolina Hurricanes. It took two overtime periods to decide a winner, but it was ultimately worth it. The Devils avoided the dreaded 3-0 deficit. Simon Nemec was the hero in this game. Jonas Siegenthaler returned to the lineup after being sidelined for a few months.

Welp, the New Jersey Devils performed better in game two. However, it still wasn't good enough. They lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1 and now trail the series 2-0. Game three will be played on Friday at the Prudential Center. Besides the loss, the biggest storyline was Brent Burns headbutting his former teammate Timo Meier shortly after the second period.

During a recent interview, Vancouver Canucks president Jim Rutherford revealed that Quinn Hughes wants to to someday play with his brothers Jack and Luke. Quinn will become an unrestricted free agent in 2027, and obviously, his brothers already play for the New Jersey Devils. Getting two Hughes brothers to join the Canucks seems like a tall order. Jersey Joe (Pucks & Pitchforks) joined me on today's episode to help preview game two against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Welcome to the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The New Jersey Devils dropped game one against the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1. The Devils didn't play well, and the Hurricanes began to build momentum as the game progressed. Nico Hischier scored the lone goal for the Devils in the second period. Game two will be played on Tuesday in Raleigh.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are finally here and the New Jersey Devils will take on the Carolina Hurricanes on Easter Sunday. Zach Martin (Locked On Hurricanes) accompanied me on today's episode to help preview the series. The Hurricanes finished second in the Metropolitan Division with the Devils right below them. The season series ended in deadlock 2-2. It's going to come down to physicality, special teams, and goaltending.

After missing the last 18 games due to injury, Dougie Hamilton returned to the New Jersey Devils lineup. Unfortunately, the Devils lost to the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 to close out the regular season. However, most of their main players were scratched due to rest purposes. The regular season is now officially over. It's time to shift our focus to the upcoming playoffs.

The New Jersey Devils defeated the Boston Bruins 5-4 in overtime at TD Garden, snapping their three-game losing streak. Despite the Bruins' struggles this season, they've been able to handle the Devils in recent meetings. It was an offensive battle. Luckily, the Devil prevailed on the power play and overtime. This was their final road win of the regular season.

Paul Cotter will have to serve a two-game suspension after his mishap against Adam Pelech on Sunday. The playoffs will start in a few days, so this could allow him to get some rest and recovery. After initially being ruled out until the second round of the playoffs, Dougie Hamilton might return to the Devils lineup sooner than anticipated. Getting him back would be beneficial.

The New Jersey Devils were shutout by the New York Islanders 1-0. It was an uneventful game for the most part, but it had its moments. Paul Cotter was given a game misconduct for his hit on Adam Pelech in the second period. Timo Meier's turnover proved costly since Bo Horvat scored the lone goal in the matchup. The Devils have now lost three straight games.

Thanks to the New York Rangers' recent loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, the New Jersey Devils have officially punched their ticket to the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The journey wasn't easy, but at least the Devils won't end this season empty-handed like last year. Sheldon Keefe and company deserve a lot of credit. Unfortunately, former general manager Ray Shero passed away on the same day the Devils clinched. It was definitely a bittersweet moment.

Well, the New Jersey Devils saw their three-game winning streak snapped by the Boston Bruins. They lost embarrassingly by allowing the Bruins to score a touchdown and an extra point. It seemed like the team struggled with energy and execution. The Devils must wait to secure a position in the playoffs officially. They only need one point to clinch.

Nico Hischier is one of the best two-way players in the NHL. A couple of seasons ago, he was a finalist for the Selke Trophy and has a chance to be a finalist again. The New Jersey Devils are close to clinching a playoff spot, and Hischier is a big reason why. It's reported that Arseni Gritsyuk will sign an entry-level contract with the Devils real soon. He had a good showing in the KHL.

The New Jersey Devils are very close to clinching a playoff spot. After blanking the New York Rangers 4-0 for the second time this season, their odds have increased to 99.99%. The Devils secured the season series and are now winners of three straight games. It looks like the team is starting to find its groove once again

The New Jersey Devils defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in a shootout. The team has won three of their last four games. Not known for their shootout outcomes, the Devils performed well, thanks to Paul Cotter and Jesper Bratt. Jacob Markstrom has continued to improve since returning from injury. It was an intense game, especially with the questionable calls from the referees.

Simon Nemec is not having a good sophomore year in the NHL. The former second overall pick is making too many mistakes on the New Jersey Devils' blue line. He was an AHL all-star this season, so he still has potential, but the team might go in a different direction come the offseason. Paul Cotter recently broke a team record in physicality. He deserves a lot more credit.

After being shutout on Friday against the Winnipeg Jets, the New Jersey Devils redeemed themselves. They defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-2 and asserted themselves right from the start. Nico Hischier scored his second career hat trick and led the way. This matchup looked very similar to a playoff game. Speaking of which, the Devils are close to securing a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The New Jersey Devils desperately needed a win and defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3. A lot of inconsistent performing players found their names in the scorer's sheet. This win snapped the Devils' three-game losing streak and improved their playoff chances. There's still some work that needs to be done, but this game was important. Especially since the next couple of opponents will be tough.

At least they walked away with a point. Because every point is vital going down the stretch. The next few games are going to be a challenge for the Devils.

Johnathan Kovacevic explained that the team should have a playoff mindset after the New Jersey Devils lost to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Sheldon Keefe called him out postgame and said, "Kovacevic just needs to play better. That would help." Keefe's comments went viral on social media and sparked a huge discussion. Clearly, tensions are high in the locker room especially with the Devils battling to hold onto a playoff spot.

The New Jersey Devils lost 5-3 to the Calgary Flames. They allowed four unanswered goals in the third period, and Jacob Markstrom looked shaky again. The Devils have been very good at closing games this year, but this meltdown was shocking for many people. The Devils can't afford to waste points since they're hunting for a playoff position.

Before you come at me, allow me to explain myself: I saw a clip on social media where somebody brought up the idea of possibly trading away Dougie Hamilton. I decided to share my thoughts on the matter. Hamilton has been a big-time contributor for the New Jersey Devils. It's worth mentioning that Hamilton has a no-movement clause. The NHL recently revealed they might scrap the 2026 all-star game in the wake of 4 Nations' big success last month.

Tom Fitzgerald recently revealed that Dougie Hamilton will miss the remainder of the season. I know people have their various opinions on Hamilton, particularly with his defense, but he's still vital for the Devils. Cody Glass was acquired by the Devils not too long ago. He's been playing very in his first four games with New Jersey.
