The United States of America is 250 years old..ish, but in becoming the USA, entire communities, nations and cultures were crushed beneath teh wheel of "progress." In the early 1980s, doctors in the US started noticing clusters of unusual illnesses like cancers and pmeumonia in healthy young men, the only thing that connected them, was that they were sexually active with other men. An epidemic emerged, a disease with no name, as a mysterious, highly fatal illness. It sparked widespread panic and devastating personal loss.
