Just 5 miles away from the Happiest Place on Earth, Knott’s features incredible thrills of its own, and offers some incredible food too. Stage Nine in Old Town Sacramento is an absolute treasure trove of all things pop culture and nostalgia. Not only is Stage Nine one of the largest Disney Fine Art galleries in the US, it also houses a gigantic Disneyana collection, has a toy store straight out of the dreams of 70s and 80s kids, and features a classic candy store too. We spent the New Year holiday on Oahu at one of our favorite Disney destinations, the Aulani Resort in Ko Olina. There’s so much to do at Aulani itself, and amazing activities for the whole family around the island. We did a UTV tour around Kualoa Ranch, visited Pearl Harbor with the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri battleship tours, and spent a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Of course we also enjoyed Aulani itself, complete with an impressive fireworks display to ring in the new year - both official and unofficial. What a magical holiday!

There’s nothing quite like spending the holidays in paradise, and that’s exactly what we did this year. We flew to Kauai early Christmas morning and spent 5 nights on the southern tip of the island in Poipu. Known as the Garden Isle, Kauai’s beauty (and the food!) did NOT disappoint.
