The night we are recording is USA vs Mexico. Outside of the final, it's probably the biggest game of the Classic. By the time you read this a winner will have been decided. The winner is the fan.

Baseball games are playing again!

Soup to nuts - how did the Red Sox offseason go this winter. Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, what did all of your Fenway hotdogs pay for?

It was mostly waiting for Sam Kennedy to get a clue.

This team is better. It is. Don't tell me it's not. We would have loved this team with Bregman, Marte, Ryan, but this team is undeniably better than it was. Not the Yankees. Those guys are barely a dingy without a hole.

Remember the 2016 Red Sox? Gabby Maljanian of Locked-On Sox surely does. The 2016 Red Sox, somehow, look like a baseball Hollywood walk of fame. Funny because they didn't win the series that year, right?

But you know who did win? Rick Porcello, 2016 Cy Young.

Crazy, too that this was the final year of David Ortiz' playing career. Reminder that this year he led the league in doubles and RBIs. This was also the year of 9.8 bWAR Mookie Betts. And all-star knuckleballer Steven Wright.

The Red Sox are connected to a plethora of potential trade candidates - some we like (Nico Hoerner) more than others (Brendan Donovan). Like, significantly more.

There was also plenty of record setting and record cucking news in baseball this week - including Kyle Tucker to the Dodgers on the largest AAV contract ever given out, and Bo Bichette to the Mets on the Bregman sweetheart deal. The Mets are the weirdest group of infielders I think I've seen, maybe ever.

The Boston Red Sox sign an actual player to an actual deal. Yes, in the year of our lord 2026, Craig Breslow gives $130mm to Ranger Suarez. Of the three available Suarezes on the market, this one is by far our favorite.

To think Suarez and Gray are splitting the duties as your #2 and #3 pitchers respectively is all Red Sox fans have dreamed about since 2018. Finally, the Red Sox sign a player for just money. No prospects, no contract splits, just money.

The Boston Red Sox acquire Willson Contreras via trade with the Cardinals. Hunter Dobbins was sent back to St. Louis in the trade.

On the 8th night of Hanukkah, Breslow and Bloom celebrated with their two ultimate gifts. Bloom gets back the starting pitcher he drafted and Red Sox fill the enormous hole they've had at 1B.

The Seattle Red Sox are on fire. They just crushed The Blue Jays like it was nothing. You know, The Blue Jays? That team that crushed that fraud team the New York Yankees?

There is much to consider. The Red Sox coaching staff has been invited back. Most of them, anyway. Even the ones we don't like. There's also a word on the street that Aaron Boone will not be returning to the Yankees. Sad!

The Red Sox blew it. They blew it, plain and simple. You think the Yankees are a good enough team to win on their own? Look at how the Blue Jays series has been going for them.

It's the playoffs. The air is different, the strategy is different, but our hope for the results against the Yankees is the same.

Payton Tolle has arrived. He's a shover. 8ks in 5.1IP is as much as you could ask for. I'm glad the developers took their time with this one.

Nothing tastes worse than Orioles losses. Nothing tastes better than Yankee tears. 27 rings can't stand up to the awesome might of a dozen semi-drunk, bearded, Irish baseball fans.

First, stop leaving the bases loaded against the Orioles. Stop it. Stop leaving the bases loaded in general, really. You're the Red Sox. Start acting like it.

Anyway, the Twitter gang took New York City. We were in person to watch Garrett Crochet put the Yankees to bed and strike out Aaron Judge for his 200th K this season. Ask me if it gets better than that.<...

The Red Sox have a lot of promising up-and-comers. What does it look like when a prospect transverses the gap to the major leagues? Hunter Noll has a lot to say about who we should be looking at in the coming years.

This week in Red Sox baseball was lackluster. Crochet got knocked around for the first time in his Red Sox tenure. We lost a game to the Marlins in embarrassing fashion. Truthfully, don't we all wish the Red Sox could have done better than 3/6 this week.

It is still a competitive team, and...

We wanted four wins, we got three. Mid. Average. Pedestrian. The Royals? A cake walk. Garrett Crochet? Good. Dustin May? New. Jordan Hicks? Come on.

We knew we had to beat the Royals, you just needed to keep the lid on Booby Witt and the Pasquatch. We aren't quite sure why they bought at the deadline, but hey, not our ball club.

Then, the Padres. Almost embarrassing. Plenty of classic Red Sox mistakes. Failure to capitalize on opportunities. Opportunities to WIN. But, is Buehler heading in the right direction? One can only hope.
