Not Another Sox Podcast
AL East Preview | S26E7
The AL East - The Red Sox, The Blue Jays, The Rays, The Orioles, and even The "Yankees".
Some returning friends and some new faces to talk about what they think of their team's offseasons. Wall treachery, free agent signings, and even better the Yankees are miserable. Good for all of us.
Alex of Rays the Roof, Lizzy of Jay Bird Watching, Stanzo of George's Box Pod, and Ian of Another Orioles Podcast join host Jack Webster of Not Another Sox Podcast in this exciting meeting of the minds. Well, meeting of the minds and "...
World Baseball Classic Madness | S26E6
Ian is wearing a Mexico shirt, everyone go yell at him on Twitter.
We've been glued to our World Baseball Classic screens. As it turns out, this rocks. How does it feel to watch your favorite baseball players playing on massive teams all day every day?
The night we are recording is USA vs Mexico. Outside of the final, it's probably the biggest game of the Classic. By the time you read this a winner will have been decided. The winner is the fan.
Go baseball.

World Baseball Classic Preview | S26E5
The World Baseball Classic slams. And the Red Sox are heavily represented. Pool play is next, hear our favorite matchups from Pools A, B, C, and D.
That's right, we are also talking about Jarren Duran, team Mexico favorite and Red Sox odd duck outfielder. He looks good in spring training. Apologies, we will not be taking notes on his spring performance at this time.
If team Italy wins the WBC, Jack Webster will be giving Ian the dollar.

Offseason Pitch Count | S26E4
Baseball games are playing again!
Soup to nuts - how did the Red Sox offseason go this winter. Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, what did all of your Fenway hotdogs pay for?
It was mostly waiting for Sam Kennedy to get a clue.
This team is better. It is. Don't tell me it's not. We would have loved this team with Bregman, Marte, Ryan, but this team is undeniably better than it was. Not the Yankees. Those guys are barely a dingy without a hole.

Spring Has Sprung feat. Tim Healey | S26E3
Tim Healey, Red Sox beat reporter. Raised on the beat streets of Miami and baptized in the Boston fires of the Rafael Devers trade. Tim gives us the low-down - walks us through the marathon, if you will.
WBC is coming up, Roman Anthony has been cleared to play for team USA. Tim estimates that he would start for the team 54.5% of the time. Say what you will about Roman Anthony, I love him.
Spring training has begun. There are a few early standouts. Believe it or not, Tim likes Wilyer Abreu. He also likes...
Caleb Durbin (& Friends) | S26E2
For everyone that protested the Bad Bunny show, Alex Cora liked it.
Red Sox this week acquired the most rag tag group of infielders. Tsung-Che Cheng, Mickey Gasper, Brendan Rogers, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Caleb Durbin, and both of the other two guys that came over in the Caleb Durbin trade. Breslow really said "Oops, all infielders!"
On the other side of the world, Detroit, Skubal sets an arbitration record. Showing up with props to his hearing, his back to back Cy Young awards. Plopping them big, fat awards right on the table. What does that mean...
Groundhog Truck Day feat. Emmy Award Winner @SeaDogsMark | S26E1
We will be releasing this episode every day for the next 33 years, the same amount of time that Bill Murray was presumably stuck in Groundhog's Day. Which is stupid because if the writers of Groundhog's Day knew anything it's that Bill Murray presumably would have been stuck in Groundhog's Day for 6 weeks.
That being said, Jordan Hicks improved the Red Sox today. He now plays for the White Sox. Thanks Breslow, you never let us down!
Oh yeah and we are joined by Emmy award winner @SeaDogsMark. Sponsor us, Smirnoff Ice!

Looking Back On 2016 feat. Gabby Maljanian | S25E69
Remember the 2016 Red Sox? Gabby Maljanian of Locked-On Sox surely does. The 2016 Red Sox, somehow, look like a baseball Hollywood walk of fame. Funny because they didn't win the series that year, right?
But you know who did win? Rick Porcello, 2016 Cy Young.
Crazy, too that this was the final year of David Ortiz' playing career. Reminder that this year he led the league in doubles and RBIs. This was also the year of 9.8 bWAR Mookie Betts. And all-star knuckleballer Steven Wright.
And Cubs star closer Aroldis Chapman.

I Don't Know On Third | S25E68
The Red Sox are connected to a plethora of potential trade candidates - some we like (Nico Hoerner) more than others (Brendan Donovan). Like, significantly more.
There was also plenty of record setting and record cucking news in baseball this week - including Kyle Tucker to the Dodgers on the largest AAV contract ever given out, and Bo Bichette to the Mets on the Bregman sweetheart deal. The Mets are the weirdest group of infielders I think I've seen, maybe ever.
Paredes is the most likely option to end up in Boston, but he is...
EMERGENCY POD: POWER RANGER TO BOSTON | S25E67
The Boston Red Sox sign an actual player to an actual deal. Yes, in the year of our lord 2026, Craig Breslow gives $130mm to Ranger Suarez. Of the three available Suarezes on the market, this one is by far our favorite.
To think Suarez and Gray are splitting the duties as your #2 and #3 pitchers respectively is all Red Sox fans have dreamed about since 2018. Finally, the Red Sox sign a player for just money. No prospects, no contract splits, just money.
There's still some redeeming to do so keep it together, Breslow.

Thanks Breslow You F*cking Stiff feat. @Hogdale_ | S25E66
Breslow, you f*cking stiff. You let Bregman walk. And for what? For a no-trade clause? Really? What are we doing here?
We are joined by newly minted king of the Barstool barverse @Hogdale_ who was in Chicago when the deal went down. Think of it like the girl from Hereditary who is by herself at the party and then on the car ride home sticks her head out the window to be decapitated.
The (Red Sox) nation turns it's eyes to Bichette, who we unfortunately have zero faith that the front office will pony...
Favorite Things About Fenway | S25E65
Fenway Park - it is OLD, it is GREASY, and it IS our favorite ballpark.
We cover a LOT of ground. Firstly, player signings like Paul DeJong to the Yankees (hilarious) and Kazuma Okamoto to the Blue Jays (and what that means of the likelihood of a Bregman reunion??).
We also cover how the current events in Venezuela might affect the baseball climate. The WBC might be a little tense. The Red Sox also have multiple players from Venezuela signed to the team. The events in Venezuela affect MLB and all baseball players.

Nothing Ever Happens | S25E64
From the Cardinals trades to Twitter's finest, it has definitely proved to be as spicy as it has been boring for the Red Sox.
Sonny Gray and Willson Contreras are both welcome additions to the Red Sox. They were the right moves. No free agents yet... Come on Craig, don't let us down.
Twitter has been the most entertaining part of the offseason! At the hands of prominent Red Sox troll @KutterIsKing, both Cam Schlittler and Jazz Chisholm have been ratio-ed. May they RIP in peace.

EMERGENCY POD: CONTRERAS TO BOSTON feat @RedBirdFarmHand | S25E63
The Boston Red Sox acquire Willson Contreras via trade with the Cardinals. Hunter Dobbins was sent back to St. Louis in the trade.
On the 8th night of Hanukkah, Breslow and Bloom celebrated with their two ultimate gifts. Bloom gets back the starting pitcher he drafted and Red Sox fill the enormous hole they've had at 1B.
We are extremely excited to welcome Contreras, he hit big bonk. Our friend Tyler (Twitter's @RedBirdFarmHand) jumped in to talk about his excitement to get Dobbins, though he is going to miss the Cardinals 1B king.

Australia Baseball Special feat. @RedSoxYapper | S25E61
On the second night of Hanukkah, we have Australian wrestler and Red Sox fan @RedSoxYapper.
After seeing the Red Sox in 2008, she became locked in for life. Yes, we also asked why. She loves Marcelo Mayer, Wilyer Abreu, and if she became a Red Sox fan in 2008, statistically likely that she likes Jason Bay (we forgot to ask).
Tonight being the second night of Hannukah is important. Craig Breslow is celebrating, and the presents get bigger every night. If we got breaking news with a Red Sox trade on night two (Jake Bennett), imagine what...
2025 MLB Winter Meetings Day 3 feat. Pod On Lansdowne | S25E60
Alonso signed with the Orioles today, and Twitter CRASHED OUT.
How do we feel about it? Less heartbroken than you think. Actually, Jack is pretty mad. He felt like we watched the Red Sox take a back seat while other teams got in on the action.
Special guest Fitzy Mo Pena of Pod on Lansdowne joins the show. Many are calling him America's sweetheart. Jake and Liam make an appearance later in the episode in our reindeer games. Fitz has some opinions on the state of the market, and the state of the Red Sox.<...
2025 MLB Winter Meetings Day 2 feat. Play Tessie | S25E59
Day 2 of the 2025 Winter Meetings and the Boston Red Sox rumor mill is SWIRLING. You name 'em, we want 'em.
The Red Sox have been connected to Ketel Marte, Isaac Paredes, Bo Bichette, Corey Seager, to name a few. Somehow, the Red Sox ended up with enough young, controllable starting pitching to feed families from Texas to Arizona.
Our sweet bonk boy Kyle Schwarber signed today with the Philadelphia Phillies. Who wouldn't have loved that 50 home run power in Boston. Alas, with Pete Alonso, we persevere.
We did make a signing today! Alec...
2025 MLB Winter Meetings Day 1 feat. Red Seat Radio | S25E58
Today was day one of the MLB Winter Meetings. Many trade rumors and free agent rumors are spiraling. How will Craig Breslow steer the Boston Red Sox ship this year?
Returning from last year, we are joined by Red Seat Radio. We have high hopes for the Sox. For the trades. For Pete Alonso. For Ketel Marte. For Cole Ragans. To name a few.
Casas should still matter if you sign Alonso. Does Bregman still matter if you trade for Marte?
Our heads are swirling with possibilities of meaningful upgrades. To top it...
Abreu or Duran | S25E57
We are still high on Sonny Gray coming to Boston. A major move that really balances out the Red Sox rotation. After seeing what Dylan Cease got in free agency, Craig Breslow did the right thing.
You do not need a J.T. Realmuto. There are other screaming areas of need before you throw $20 million at a catcher position. Imagine throwing $20 million at Bregman? Or at the Foxy Lady's annual Legs and Eggs?
We wrap things up with the most polarizing conversation of the Red Sox offseason - which outfielder to trade. Jack is of...
Always Sonny in Boston feat. @RedBirdFarmHand | S25E56
The Red Sox make a splash with their first major move of the offseason. Sonny Gray, multi-time Cy Young nominated pitcher, will be joining the 2026 Red Sox.
In return, the Red Sox have sent Richard Fitts and Brandon Clark to the Cardinals, along with absorbing half of Sonny Gray's remaining salary. To think, even after all this time, Chaim Bloom is still helping the Red Sox.
Tyler, MiLB expert of @RedBirdFarmHand joins us. A Cardinals fan. A Cardinals PROSPECTS fan. And you know what? He likes the trade.
Maybe Craig Breslow is cooking...
Chicken Non-Tendies and MLB's Most Underrated AL Players | S25E55
Red Sox, Yankees, and the most underrated American League players in the MLB. This writer's question, do you like Connor Wong? What about Adam (@dunkintern)?
It was also a busy week of contract tendering and non-tendering. It's sad to see Bernie's face, though to be fair the Red Sox did send him to hell in exchange for soda in the vending machine. I hope Paul DePodesta is happy with his new Colorado Rockies.

Alonso, Okamoto, and MLB's Most Underrated NL Players | S25E54
We list the most underrated National League players - from the Dodgers to the Pirates. That list does include Andy Pages, most underrated bystander of the criminal investigation into Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz.
The first free agent dominos are falling. Josh Naylor has re-signed with the Mariners for 5 years and Ryan Yarbrough returns to the Yankees. The second part is important, he has a 7.00+ ERA against the Red Sox. The Yankees suck.
We are introducing a new offseason segment, Under The Microscope. We focused on the Red Sox first base need. What do Pete...

Qualifying Offers, Trevor Story Opt In, and Cam Schlittler's AI Apology | S25E52
Firstly, let's get one this straight - Cam Schlittler is illiterate. He can not read, he can not write, and he can not stop getting cooked by fans. That's right folks, Cam Schlitter used AI to write an apology to the city he was raised in. It's a very common thing for absolute clowns to do.
Lucas Giolito and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on declining their mutual option. The Boston Red Sox did not extend Giolito a qualifying offer. It's a shame, he would have been such a wonderful 60-day IL.

The Blew-It Jays | S25E51
The Blue Jays blew it. This writer actually dozed off for a moment because he thought the Blue Jays had it in the bag. Even funnier was this was all done at the hands of impending free agent Miguel Rojas.
Yamamoto, king of the roost, World Series MVP, has accomplished more in this World Series than most other pitchers in history; and most importantly, more than all the 2024 World Series Yankees team combined.
Now, we look at the Red Sox offseason. There is a lot of work today, I'm sure our buddy Brez is just...
World Series Blues | S25E50
The World Series would be a lot more exciting if the Red Sox were playing in it against the Dodgers. Say one nice thing about the Toronto Blue Jays! See? You can't.
Historic moments are happening left and right. Ohtani's 3-home run game, Addison Barger's pinch hit grand slam, Yamamoto's back-to-back complete games. We have agreed that the 2025 Blue Jays are a significantly better team than the 2024 Yankees.
Red Sox fans are in the waiting period. We have some early off-season roster construction, even "The Bregman Backup Plan" (TM). We've got eyes on Mayer, we've...

Seattle Red Sox | S25E48
The Seattle Red Sox are on fire. They just crushed The Blue Jays like it was nothing. You know, The Blue Jays? That team that crushed that fraud team the New York Yankees?
There is much to consider. The Red Sox coaching staff has been invited back. Most of them, anyway. Even the ones we don't like. There's also a word on the street that Aaron Boone will not be returning to the Yankees. Sad!
Anyone else see that press conference the other day? What did you think?

Sox Playoff Sadness | S25E47
The Red Sox blew it. They blew it, plain and simple. You think the Yankees are a good enough team to win on their own? Look at how the Blue Jays series has been going for them.
Another year of being doomed to hate-watch. Crochet fought for it. So did Story, Chapman, Yoshida, Eaton, Sogard. You know, the usual suspects.
Jack Webster will be hitching his wagon to the Seattle Mariners, he wants to see their first world series trip. Will they ever beat The Dodgers? Los Doyers? Unlikely.
Though, let's be honest...
Let's Get Wild | S25E46
It's the playoffs. The air is different, the strategy is different, but our hope for the results against the Yankees is the same.
Game one of the wild card series takes place in New York at the new, improperly built, Yankee Stadium. Did you know at the time of building the new stadium, the rules were that all outfield walls had to be a minimum of 325 feet? And the Yankees just ignored that?
As it stands, we are expecting Crochet vs Fried game 1 and Bello vs Rodon game 2. We haven't looked at game 3 yet. The...

JUST MAKE THE PLAYOFFS | S25E41
Welcome back to another episode of NASP! It was a weird week of baseball with lots of inquires, but we somehow went 3-3.
The playoff stretch is in full force and we are just begging the Red Sox to not blow this the last few weeks of the season.
Losing Roman Anthony really sucks and you could instantly tell the difference between him on the team vs off.
Plus a fun little game of who you would make a baseball team out of from band members.

Yankees Still Suck | S25E39
Nothing tastes worse than Orioles losses. Nothing tastes better than Yankee tears. 27 rings can't stand up to the awesome might of a dozen semi-drunk, bearded, Irish baseball fans.
First, stop leaving the bases loaded against the Orioles. Stop it. Stop leaving the bases loaded in general, really. You're the Red Sox. Start acting like it.
Anyway, the Twitter gang took New York City. We were in person to watch Garrett Crochet put the Yankees to bed and strike out Aaron Judge for his 200th K this season. Ask me if it gets better than that.<...
Prospect Capital feat. Hunter Noll | S25E38
The Red Sox have a lot of promising up-and-comers. What does it look like when a prospect transverses the gap to the major leagues? Hunter Noll has a lot to say about who we should be looking at in the coming years.
This week in Red Sox baseball was lackluster. Crochet got knocked around for the first time in his Red Sox tenure. We lost a game to the Marlins in embarrassing fashion. Truthfully, don't we all wish the Red Sox could have done better than 3/6 this week.
It is still a competitive team, and...
Uh-Oh, SpaghettiOs! | S25E37
We wanted four wins, we got three. Mid. Average. Pedestrian. The Royals? A cake walk. Garrett Crochet? Good. Dustin May? New. Jordan Hicks? Come on.
We knew we had to beat the Royals, you just needed to keep the lid on Booby Witt and the Pasquatch. We aren't quite sure why they bought at the deadline, but hey, not our ball club.
Then, the Padres. Almost embarrassing. Plenty of classic Red Sox mistakes. Failure to capitalize on opportunities. Opportunities to WIN. But, is Buehler heading in the right direction? One can only hope.
