Strong Recruiting Data
#763

The Trojans have the No. 2-rated 2026 recruiting class in February; but where will they finish at the end of the cycle?  I have some data and my opinion on what needs to happen for USC to finish inside the top 10.

USC's new GM Chad Bowden is starting to affect Southern California Recruiting. I have the details in the show's second segment.

There are a bunch of new guys enrolled, working out, and preparing for spring camp; I'll tell what jersey number they're wearing so you can identify them.

Take A QB's Brain Over His Arm Strength
#762
Last Friday at 11:00 AM

Whatever makes a QB successful in college and the NFL, I agree with Tom Brady; it's about a QB's speed and ability to read a defense more than anything else. If Jayden Maiava wants to take the next step in his development, then it starts in the film room.

Jen Cohen talked about the football program and what's necessary for USC to have a championship-level program. I have her answers and my reaction in the show's second segment.

This week's Friday Rant has to do with keeping college football's traditions and rivalries alive. If USC...

TheLook For The USC Playmakers
#760
Last Thursday at 11:00 AM

Another preseason list came out and USC was under-represented again; only Ja'Kobi Lane was on the "Breakout Player" watchlist. I have a list of players on USC's roster from both sides of the ball who should have made the list.

USC's 2026 class received another commitment. Andrew Williams is a 6-foot-5, 220lb multi-sport athlete who is expected to play defensive end when he enrolls at USC. I have all the details and how this diamond in the rough was found in USC's backyard around the corner from campus.

Which USC offense dodged you like best? I...

Roster Respect
#759
Last Wednesday at 11:00 AM

USC's defense was good in 2024 and it should be even better in 2025 with the way their roster is built. Almost every position has the right amount of combined depth and talent except in the linebacker room. I explain the Defcon levels for each position group.

The B1G Conference in 2025 will be up for grabs. Jayden Maiava is one of the better QBs, but is there one who separates himself and his team from the rest of the pack?

Men's hoops had a nice bounce-back win at home over Penn St putting them one game c...

USC Spring Needs
#758
02/11/2025

USC's 2025 roster is set until spring camp; I assess USC's offense needs ahead of spring camp and discuss whether Lincoln Riley and Chad Bowden will be shopping in the transfer portal.

Trojans Offensive Line Coach Zach Hanson has been busy since taking over the room and I have the latest news on guys offered and where USC stands with their recruitment.

The Best & Worst road trips in the B1G & Pac-12 Conference is the 3rd segment's topic.

Comparing USC's Recruiting Numbers
#757
02/10/2025

USC's football recruiting numbers are upside down. 2025's talent level is really good but most of the class is coming from all over the country.--Just 5 of the 23 high school commitments are from California. The 2026 class is now the focus of the staff, and the numbers look better. I have the details in the first segment.

During the second segment, I have a few quotes from Lincoln Riley on National Signing Day with my take on what it all means.

USC had another player representing the Cardinal & Gold in this year's Super Bowl, but I...

USC Is Recruiting With A Savage
#756
02/07/2025

Chad Savage was the first assistant coach hired this offseason and he's also one of the keys to USC regaining the foothold with Southern California recruiting. The first segment of the show highlights Coach Savage's strengths and why he could have an immediate impact.

Now the 2025 class is completed, it's time to look ahead to 2026's recruiting class. The state of California, and Southern California specifically is loaded with elite talent at every position. I have a list of guys in the second segment that USC cannot allow to leave for other programs.

And if...

The Best USC Staff Ever?
#754
02/06/2025

It was National Letter of Intent signing day, however, the biggest stories were the new GM and coaching staff introductions. Lincoln Riley spent a few minutes talking about USC's two newest 2025 commits, Jayden Ramos and AJ Tuitele, however, everyone's attention was focused on Chad Bowden, Chad Savage, Rob Ryan, and Trovon Reed's introduction to the local media.

I have all the notes, quotes, and unique insights from the questions I asked at the press conference.
