June 16, 2026 - A Fifth Director's Cup for Texas
For the third time in a row and the fifth time in six years, the Texas Longhorns can officially say they have the best athletic department in the country. Texas's performance in the Track and Field Championships, while underwhelming, along with the baseball team's trip to Omaha, were enough to officially bring the trophy back to Austin.

June 9, 2026 - Softball Wins (Another) Championship
The Texas Longhorns' softball may have battled back from the loser's bracket to reach the final's series, but they didn't need an extra game to top Texas Tech to hoist the National Championship trophy.
Teagan Kavan was her usual Oklahoma City self, becoming the first player to earn WCWS Most Outstanding Player for a second time for her efforts from the circle, while the Longhorns' offense kept things easy for her.

June 2, 2026 - Baseball and Softball Advance
The Texas Longhorns had a successful weekend on the diamond, with the baseball team advancing to the Super Regional, while the softball team overcame the loser's bracket to make the WCWS Final.
The Longhorns didnt drop a single game in the regionals, cruising through the first two, but needing to gut the finale out against UCSB.
In OKC, the softball team lost the opening game of the WCWS, but managed to win a doubleheader on Monday to take their spot in the final series.
May 26, 2026 - Softball is going back to OKC
The softball team overcame a rocky start to the Super Regional before closing it out in dominant fashion, knocking off Arizona State to advance to the Women's College World Series.
Texas now faces off against SEC foe Tennessee as they start to defend its title in Oklahoma City.
The baseball team seemingly punted on the SEC Tournament, but still earned a No. 6 seed overall, hosting a regional for the 39th time. How do they stack up to the field?
May 30, 2026 - Softball Moves to Supers
The Texas Longhorns softball team cruised through the regional round, giving up just one run through the three games in Austin.
The pitching staff was lights out in the circle, while they scored 25 runs in the contest, setting up their Super Regional matchup against Arizona State. How do they match up against the red-hot Sun Devils?
May 11, 2026 - Texas claims SEC Softball Championship
The Texas Longhorns avenged some regular-season SEC struggles with wins over Georgia and Alabama to claim the SEC Tournament championship and lock down one of the No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.
Now, Texas has an opportunity to host the first two rounds, potentially taking on rival Texas A&M if they both manage to advance.
May 7, 2026 - Beach Volleyball Reaches Final Four
In just its second year of official competition, the Texas Beach Volleyball team reached the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament, falling in a nail-biter to eventual champion UCLA. However, Texas racked up plenty of other postseason hardware in the win.

April 28, 2026: Beach Volleyball wins the Conference, Pitchers Pick it Up
The Beach Volleyball team, as expected, grabs its first conference championship, setting itself up as the No. 2 seed for the NCAA Tournament. Can they get a trophy and bolster the Longhorns' chances at a Director's Cup?
On the diamond, the pitchers got their act together, for the most part, and both the baseball and softball teams got back to their winning ways.
April 21, 2026 - Tennis claims another conference title
The Texas Men's Tennis Team won its second consecutive SEC Championship, setting up a top seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Can they parlay that success into a national title?

April 7, 2026: The Texas Women Fall Short
After a phenomenal season, the Texas Women's Basketball team ran into the buzz saw that was the UCLA Bruins -- a team they actually beat earlier in the season. However, UCLA's dominant defense proved to be too much for Texas and their stars, leaving them a game shy of the championship.

April 1, 2026 - Texas WBB headed to the Final Four
The Texas Women are back in the final weekend of the tournament, hoping to get over the hump that has kept Vic Scahefer from the Promised Land. They have been dominant through the first two weeks, but will face one of the most stacked teams in the country in the semifinal round, the UCLA Bruins.
The Texas men didn't make it out of the second weekend, but went out with a competitive game and changed the narrative on a season that frustrated some.
March 24, 2026 - Texas Men and Women Still Dancing
The Texas Longhorns are one of just four schools with both the men's and women's team represented in the Sweet 16, although they took different paths to get there.
The men needed a buzzer-beater in the First Four, before picking up two decisive wins over BYU and Gonzaga to advance to the second weekend of the tournament. Now they face a Purdue squad with a pair of double-digit wins under its belt in the opening weekend.

The Texas Longhorns are back on the field as they officially open spring practice. A lot of new faces on campus as they try to acclimate their new portal additions as they push their chips all in for the 2026 season.
March 2, 2026 - Basketball getting hot at the right time
The Texas Longhorns grabbed a much-needed win over rival Texas A&M to set them up for a solid end to the regular season. While already seemingly in the NCAA Tournament, the Longhorns have an opportunity to win 10 conference games for the first time since the 2022-23 season and close out strong as they approach tournament time.

December 30, 2025 - Feeling the Cheeziest against Michigan
The No. 13 Texas Longhorns will be without some key players when they head to Florida to take on the Michigan Wolverines, who are somehow even more in flux.
They recently named Kyle Wittingham as their permanent head coach, who will take over for Biff Pogi, who led the charge following Sherrone Moore's firing earlier in December. They will be missing their two best pass rushers, an NFL-caliber offensive lineman, and will have a new playcaller for the offense.

December 16, 2025 - Texas falls to Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament
The Texas Longhorns had high hopes for the NCAA Postseason and fell just a few games short of that, falling to the Wisconsin Badgers in the Round of 8.
It was an uncharacteristically sloppy game for Texas, which Wisconsin took advantage of and nearly swept the Longhorns on their home court. Texas battled back, but couldn't withstand the Badgers' offense and fell short.

For the second year in a row, the Texas Longhorns came out of the Black Friday matchup with a convincing win over their rival, the Texas A&M Aggies.
Texas dominated the second half, taking advantage of the Aggies' aggression on defense and turning it into their best running performance of the year. Defensively, Texas managed to bottle up one of the most explosive offenses in the country and turned over quarterback Marcel Reed on consecutive plays to seal the game.

The recently renewed rivalry game between Texas and Texas A&M always has big stakes, but this year's edition is even bigger.
For Texas, a win over the Aggies will give the CFP committee a lot to think about when it comes to decision time. For Texas A&M, cementing an undefeated regular season with a win over a hated rival would be the icing on the sweetest cake.
November 25, 2025 - Texas rolls against Arkansas
The first of two home rivalry matchups went the Texas Longhorns' way, with Arch Manning turning in a career night against the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Longhorns' best offensive performance of the year.
Manning found his receivers early and often, needing to get the offense going in a hurry to counteract the defense's continued struggles against the potent Arkansas offense.

November 18, 2025 - Georgia Again Dominates Texas
For the third time in the last two seasons, the Texas Longhorns have squared off with the Georgia Bulldogs and came away with a loss.
