Drafting the best realistic Giannis trade packages
#775
06/01/2026

The landscape of the NBA (not to mention the rules of the league's draft!) have changed since the last time the Gyro Step hosts broke down potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trades. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti decided to spice it up by drafting the top realistic returns in a potential Giannis trade IF it happens and boy was that a bad decision for Ti who drafted poorly and realized it mid-pod.

Teams discussed include the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics ... and the Clippers and Kings?!

Giannis Late-Gate plus post-combine NBA Draft big boards
#773
05/22/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks have more dumb drama happening after Myles Turner said Giannis Antetokounmpo was always late and Bobby Portis wondered if it was AI. Does any of this mean anything? No, but also yes.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti cover that before getting to a bunch of NBA Draft news and notes, including a report that the Bucks are operating as if they'll have multiple first round picks, the NBA Combine measurements and drills, and scouting reports on two more prospects: Dailyn Swain and Karim Lopez. Ti then shares his updated big board which stuns Rohan.

#772
05/11/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks didn't hit their three percent chance of getting a top four pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, but at least they didn't fall to 11 or worse either! Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discuss the Bucks getting the 10th pick as expected and some other NBA Draft Lottery fallout on this week's Gyro Step before diving into another pair of draft prospect scouting reports on Yaxel Lendeborg and Nate Ament, a pair of wings with wildly different circumstances coming into the draft.

The Milwaukee Bucks introduced Taylor Jenkins as their head coach on Wednesday but most of the assembled media's questions were on the state of affairs with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Bucks secure Taylor Jenkins as new head coach!
#769
04/24/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks have their new head coach already, as the team is reportedly hiring Taylor Jenkins! The news comes less than two weeks after the Bucks season ended and Doc Rivers stepped down, meaning the Bucks identified their guy and landed him early before other jobs opened up.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed the news, why they like the Jenkins hire and what happened with his Memphis tenure, the Bucks not casting a wide net in their search, whether Giannis Antetokounmpo was present for the second meeting (he definitely was), and more.

Darius Acuff Jr. FLUSTERS Gyro Step hosts
#768
04/20/2026

Milwaukee Bucks 2026 NBA Draft prep picks up this Monday with a scouting report on Darius Acuff Jr. who caused both Gyro Step hosts to reconsider how they feel about small guards and positional value because he is that damn good.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti start the episode with some Bucks and NBA news including mostly skipping discussing another Giannis Antetokounmpo interview, Doc Rivers returning to his true calling of being a podcaster, and the new Trail Blazers owner being insanely cheap. Then they cover Acuff's scouting report and share their updated big boards with the first f...

Doc is OUT and the Bucks season is OVER
#767
04/13/2026

Both the Doc Rivers tenure and Milwaukee Bucks 2025-26 season ended on Sunday, thank goodness. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti jumped on the pod right after the Doc news broke to discuss him finally being gone including the weird phrasing of the announcement and his hilarious quote on departing, plus the season being over finally.

They also reviewed Bucks Stock Market biggest risers and fallers and Cormac Ryan's emergence. Finally, the scouting report series continues with Caleb Wilson, a toolsy forward who in a lot of ways is the opposite of Cameron Boozer.

#766
04/09/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to be a sloppy mess on and off the court. The Bucks lost to both the Nets and Pistons this week which is good for their draft position, but the Giannis Antetokounmpo situation continues to hang over everything else. The latest updates come from Bucks GM Jon Horst doing a Q&A with local media, which hosts Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti break down in depressing detail. Thankfully we did get some Sims inspired Bucks trivia at the end of the show!

04/06/2026

Absolutely LOADED Gyro Step podcast today as Ti WIndisch and Rohan Katti start with the Giannis Antetokounmpo vs the Milwaukee Bucks injury squabble turning into a full-blown NBA investigation that Giannis called for. Ti and Rohan walk through everything that's happened so far, whether the Bucks will be punished, and then dive into how disappointing this whole season has been with both Giannis and the Bucks letting themselves and each other down.

They then take 2 minutes to discuss Cormac Ryan continuing to play quite well, before diving into a report that stated Doc Rivers may be transitioning o...

Ousmane Dieng showcases high-level talent vs Rockets
#764
04/02/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks played a shockingly fun back-to-back this week, routing the Dallas Mavericks before pushing the Houston Rockets to the brink despite all of Ryan Rollins, Kyle Kuzma, and Myles Turner sitting out and Gary Trent Jr. getting hurt in the first half.

Ousmane Dieng was the stand-out star in Houston, outplaying Kevin Durant and posting a career high scoring game despite a tough night shooting beyond the arc. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed how encouraging the Ous game was and how much he might make this summer before diving into a couple other standouts i...

The Bucks embrace the tank and we debate Darryn Peterson
#763
03/30/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks seem to have fully embraced the tank, ruling out not just Giannis Antetokounmpo but most of their usual rotation against the Clippers on Sunday. Will Milwaukee win another game, and what did we see from players like Gary Trent Jr. and Jericho Sims on Sunday?

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti answer those questions and give an update on the Bucks draft pick outlook via Tankathon before diving into their second 2026 NBA Draft segment: is Darryn Peterson going to save or doom whichever franchise drafts him? There are some concerning questions, but the upside is...

Inside insight on Bucks vs the World podcast series

03/27/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks played against the Soviet Union in a historic tournament back in 1987. The story of that tournament and the central character who made it happen and helped introduce the greatest international players in the world to the NBA, culminating in players like Giannis Antetokounmpo being the league's brightest stars, was told by Bucks+ in a great podcast series.

Ti Windisch sat down with Monis Khan, editor-in-chief of Bucks+, to ask a bunch of questions about Bucks vs the World, including editing and production decisions, working with Charlie Berens as the narrator, the best interviews and c...

Ryan Rollins career high plus Andre Jackson Jr did WHAT
#761
03/26/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks got thumped by the Portland Trail Blazers late on Wednesday night but we're leaving here with something: Ryan Rollins bounced back from a 2/8 start to record a career-high 36 points, and Andre Jackson Jr. suddenly decided to start trying to poster dunk all over centers when he has the ball which is a HUGE development for him.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discuss the play of those two in particular before diving into the team waiving Cam Thomas to sign Pete Nance to a great value deal, and quickly covering the dumb Giannis Antetokounmpo drama f...

Ryan Rollins shines vs Suns; AJ Dybantsa scouting report
#760
03/23/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks won without Giannis Antetokounmpo over the weekend, beating the Phoenix Suns on the back of a gutsy Ryan Rollins performance. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti break down Rollins' game, Gary Trent Jr.'s re-emergence into Milwaukee's rotation, the strong play of Kyle Kuzma, and more about the win over the Suns on the latest Gyro Step. They then start their 2026 NBA Draft scouting report series with AJ Dybantsa, who both hosts agree is the best prospect in the draft and a uniquely great fit on this Bucks roster.

Bucks owner declares Giannis will be traded if he doesn't sign extension
#759
03/20/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks seem to have finally drawn a line in the sand with Giannis Antetokounmpo, as Bucks owner Wes Edens bluntly stated the organization will have to trade Giannis if he doesn't extend his contract this offseason. Ti Windisch breaks down why this is a big deal even if that should have been an obvious approach and then highlights why he thinks the Bucks loss to the Utah Jazz last night was the new low point for the Doc Rivers Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks surprisingly stuck with the Cleveland Cavaliers for 48 minutes on Tuesday night, ultimately losing but seeing strong performances from most young players on the roster in the process.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti open by discussing the news that Giannis Antetokounmpo is out at least a week with a knee hyperextension and bone bruise before talking about some of the standout Bucks in this game: Kevin Porter Jr., Ryan Rollins, Ousmane Dieng, and PETE NANCE!

Giannis hurts his knee and should be shut down by Bucks
#757
03/16/2026

Giannis Antetokounmpo nearly posted a triple-double in the Milwaukee Bucks win against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday but tweaked his knee on a dunk. Giannis says its hyperextended and that he doesn't need imaging, but the Bucks are crazy if they let him play with any sort of issue in his knees, calf, or anywhere else really.

Ti Windisch and the triumphantly returned Rohan Katti break down the need to protect Giannis from himself and the recent surge for Ryan Rollins being a rare bright spot for the Bucks before going down rabbit holes in Bucks history...

Sad/weird Giannis game plus deep dives on Bucks best young players

03/11/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks had a fun first half against the Phoenix Suns before a second half meltdown that saw franchise star Giannis Antetokounmpo seemingly unable to move defensively.

Gyro Step host Ti Windisch welcomed Bucks_Breakdown, cohost of the Bucks University pod and Twitter film clip expert, to discuss the weird post-injury Giannis half and a ton more. Topics include Giannis not fully trusting Ryan Rollins and Rollins' uneven season, the emergence of Ousmane Dieng, other reasons to watch the Bucks besides those two young guys, AJ Green's rough stretch, Kyle Kuzma's emergence, Dieng's free agency outlook...

The Milwaukee Bucks split a weekend back-to-back, winning against the Utah Jazz on Saturday with Giannis Antetokounmpo playing and getting smoked the next night vs the Orlando Magic with Giannis out.

Ti Windisch went solo pod mode to break down the performances over the weekend, with Ryan Rollins, AJ Green, and Myles Turner struggling, and the injury updates, including Kevin Porter Jr.'s knee swelling getting an official name and Kyle Kuzma sitting out Sunday with a scary sounding contusion.

03/05/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks organization needs a fresh start from the current front office and coaching leadership, as the lack of cohesion between Jon Horst's moves and Doc Rivers' coaching continues to plague Milwaukee even with Giannis Antetokounmpo back in action.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed the latest brutal loss at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks, a crucial game for play-in standings, plus agree the Bucks are not shadow tanking. They also cover how Giannis looked in the Atlanta game vs the Boston one when he returned on Monday, Doc's insane huge lineups, Ousmane Dieng's emergence a...

The Milwaukee Bucks got outscored 69-31 in the second half against a Chicago Bulls team that took an entire calendar month off of winning basketball games to blow a double digit lead in Chicago and fall three games behind the play-in picture.

Suffice it to say Ti WIndisch and Rohan Katti were not thrilled by this result. They ranted about every single Buck coming off as losers in the embarrassing display and how Doc Rivers has lost the team in yet another game. Jon Horst was not spared some blame either.

Finally, they discussed the si...

The Milwaukee Bucks swept their back-to-back this week against the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers, and a huge part of both wins was Jericho Sims who has been crushing it. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discuss Sims and the wins after an all-over-the-place first segment including TV and Dominayton, and also agree that the Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins backcourt just seems to work. They also criticize coaching, as is tradition.

The Milwaukee Bucks took care of business against some bad and shorthanded teams recently but couldn't keep that streak alive against a Toronto Raptors squad without franchise player Scottie Barnes, losing handily at home with most of the roster unable to operate vs Toronto's ball pressure. Kevin Porter Jr. was the one exception, but KPJ couldn't lift the Bucks offense by himself.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed the dispiriting loss and how it sets them up to dread how Milwaukee may look in a tough week of games against the Heat, Cavaliers, and Knicks this week...

NBA expansion has been a hot topic around the Association this month and we could be getting new teams in the next few years. If the Milwaukee Bucks had to protect eight players this summer, which seven plus Giannis Antetokounmpo should Jon Horst prioritize?

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti debate the selections on this Gyro Step, and also cover some more uncomfortable Giannis quotes from Euro Hoops. Yes, they are still protecting him from the expansion draft even if the quotes are getting old! Unsurprisingly, Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis were big topics of discussion given their...

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo didn't play in the All-Star game this year, but Giannis still impacted the entire weekend. Unlike some other stars, Giannis embraces being a face of the league and he and his sons were a fixture on the court and in some fun media moments including exchanges with Damian Lillard, Steph Curry, Shams Charania, and the officials. Also, the actual game and events this year were mostly good! Even if the 200 influencers didn't actually influence anybody and Bobby Portis ended up taking last in the three-point shootout.

Ousmane Dieng is the wing the Bucks have desperately needed
#747
02/13/2026

The Milwaukee Bucks won two straight games going into the NBA All-Star Break, both on the road against the Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City Thunder. Milwaukee's new players were the biggest factors, with Cam Thomas pouring it in vs Orlando and Ousmane Dieng leading a balanced Bucks attack that dominated the Thunder on Thursday.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed how Dieng has filled the wing need that Milwaukee has struggled with since Khris Middleton's injury decline, the coaching staff correctly utilizing Thomas in a sixth man role, the improved passing and defense the younger Bucks have...

The Milwaukee Bucks kept their strong play rolling for the first half against the Orlando Magic on Monday but fell apart in the third quarter and ultimately got blown out. Cam Thomas made his Bucks debut and so did Ousmane Dieng, and Bobby Portis recorded zero rebounds before talking about the importance of rebounding as a team after the game.

Ti Windisch was joined by Justin Garcia of the Bucks Radio Network and Locked on Bucks podcast to discuss the loss to Orlando, the Bucks somewhat odd deadline moves, them buying into Milwaukee's play-in push after the...

The Milwaukee Bucks had a snoozer of an NBA Trade Deadline, acquiring Ousmane Dieng and Nigel Hayes-Davis for Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey, but that didn't deter Giannis Antetokounmpo from posting the "I'm not *bleeping* leaving" scene from Wolf of Wall Street right after the deadline passed!

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti react to Giannis' post and decode what it really means, plus talk about the low impact trade the Bucks made and their disappointment with the lack of assets Milwaukee gathered. Then they broke down what if anything to expect from Dieng, buyout options like Cam T...

The Milwaukee Bucks leapt out to a 12-0 lead vs the Boston Celtics on Sunday and then got smoked for the next 45 minutes, losing 107-79 in the latest lifeless display of basketball. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discuss if and when the Bucks will actually win another basketball game and the one bright spot generally and on Sunday, Ryan Rollins.

With the NBA Trade Deadline on Thursday, there's also a ton of trade slop to cover. Ti and Rohan discuss the two non-Bucks trades that took place over the weekend before covering new rumors. We heard that G...

The Gyro Step cohosts go through the background and reporting in great detail first, breaking down every proposed Giannis suitor and whether they could realistically swing a trade for the Greek Freak. Then Ti and Rohan debate if Giannis will actually be moved in the next s...

The Milwaukee Bucks couldn't defend the Philadelphia 76ers at all on Tuesday night, losing 139-122 despite a Bucks-high 31 points from Myles Turner. The loss was productive at least, as it rose Milwaukee to seventh on the tank standings, all but guaranteeing a top 10 pick for the Bucks.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti broke down some choice quotes after the game, all of which painted Doc Rivers in a bad light. Quote topics include being unable to guard Paul George in 2026, for not involving Turner, and for slandering Giannis Antetokounmpo indirectly. They then discussed the mentality challenge of r...

The Milwaukee Bucks will likely be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for several more weeks, although we're still waiting on actual MRI results on his self-diagnosed calf strain. Regardless, the silver lining of another injury to Giannis is the clarity it offers the Bucks on their current situation: Milwaukee needs to embrace the gap year they've been thrust into.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti clarify what that means: not obsessing over every win when a loss would help the Bucks lottery position, but instead trying to use the trade deadline to gain draft assets and maximizing minutes for young p...

The Milwaukee Bucks went down by 20 in the first quarter at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder and ended up losing by the same margin, prompting Giannis Antetokounmpo to refer to his teammates as playing "selfish" after the game.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti dissect Giannis' latest comments and discuss what was a wacky rotation by Doc Rivers, including Gary Harris starting and then just not playing again following Milwaukee's rough first quarter. The Milwaukee Bucks snapped their ugly losing streak on Monday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, beating the Atlanta Hawks 112-110 despite holding a 23-point lead at one point. Still, with Giannis Antetokounmpo's usual greatness plus a spark from Pete Nance, Doc Rivers managed to pull some levers.

Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed the new-look starting five, which featured Kyle Kuzma in for Kevin Porter Jr., plus Nance getting Gary Trent Jr.'s minutes which helped the bench actually outperform the starters for once. They also did a random Thon Maker deep dive, because why not.
