It’s another stunning morning in the Pyrenees, with a coral glow cast across the mountains and a full moon still hanging in the sky. Day 18 and the final race day before the GC cut-off. Riders are pouring into Constanța and the beach bar all day long, as our race reporters hear their stories. With the final GC cut-off extended by 1 hour due to changes to the Finish Parcours, James rolled in just before 02:00 local time — with only 25 minutes to spare. The bulk of the finishers’ party had drifted away, but a loyal crowd remained, including race winner Victor Bosoni, there to greet the last GC rider in a moment of mutual admiration.
