#20
08/05/2023

Stop #5? Fine, I guess we'll go back to Ireland.

Kieran took time out of his day to show me some Irish hospitality, I hope you're ready for this one.

Wolfgang is one of the coolest guys I've met, here is some vital information about my boy:
- Footballer, but he'd have played baseball given the chance
- One of the most talented guitarists I've met, he can recreate music by ear which is a huge flex
- Graduated from the University of Dublin in 2022
- Is welcome in Ca...

Stop #4? A short train ride to Wimbledon, UK.

My friend Andrew Hickey took the time this week to re-educate a dumb Canadian about the UK's geography, football teams and much more. His dry humour is rare and very much appreciated so strap yourselves in!

Andrew is an absolute legend, a genuine human being and one of the best friends a guy could ask for. Here are some things you should know about the WimbleDON:
- Currently studying Biomedical sciences at the University of Birmingham
- He's an Arsenal & Wimbledon FC superfan
- Has a...

Bonus: University - A Retrospective (Augustana & The University of Alberta) Part 2
05/05/2023

This part of the episode covered my experiences at Augustana & The University of Alberta. I discussed the advantages & disadvantages of attending a small university (with a particular focus on Augustana Campus), and the benefits of a more personalized and community-oriented learning experience.

Finally, the episode wraps up with a discussion of the STEM and Education faculties at the University of Alberta, which even though it's in Edmonton, isn't that bad at all imo.

I know this episode has been a longtime coming, but can a man not graduate in peace? I hope you enjoyed the e...

05/05/2023

IT'S PLAYOFF TIME. But fret not, this episode isn’t only about hoop.

In this special bonus episode of The Fork in The Road Podcast, Keaton reflects on his university experiences and invites you, the listener to join him for a conversation about fumbling his way through post-secondary education.

The episode started with a passionate "NBA Corner"  (If a single one of my predictions about the 2023 NBA playoffs is wrong, this episode is considered non-canon and thus cannot be used against TFITRPC IN ANY WAY.)

After that I spoke about moving out or st...

Stop #3? Flying from Liverpool to Edinburgh, Morocco & Scunthorpe, UK.

This week my friend Josie graced us with a story, a lesson and a bunch of laughs. I met Josie this summer at work and she is one of the most upbeat people I've ever met.

Josie Soulby is a lowkey human being, she likes to live freely, and frictionlessly if I do say so myself. Here is what Josie has been up to:
