Klein/Ally Show: The Podcast

Chicken Cam was live all show long when the people from Tender Fest dropped off a crapload of chicken tenders. Vanessa went to town first, wearing protective gloves, taking down 3 tenders before Jake and Johnny took over. Since it's Friday we brought out the Box of Shame and discovered (shocker) that Ally did something unsavory in an antique shop after breaking one of the items. We also learned Klein's dog is taking on the habit of eating his own crap, which Klein is now troubleshooting by adding meat tenderiser to his food, which will make his crap smell so horrendous...

Today Ally came in with a challenge for the group and Klein came in with a rack of ribs. For Thrifty Thursday, Ally wants all of us to take the No Spend September Challenge: No non-essential spending, no added subscriptions, no takeout, etc. We're all keeping track of our 'non-essential' purchases for the next two weeks. Will Jake be able to resist buying weird neon posters? Can Vanessa stay off Tiktok shop? Only time will tell. Klein meanwhile spent a lot of money on ribs over the weekend, and he brought a whole rack in to slow-roast during the show...

Petty Claims Court got heated today when we took an in-house case between Klein and his wife involving fridge etiquette. Klein accused his wife of throwing out things in the fridge before their expiration date. His wife, however, made some interesting points about his hoarder tendencies toward food, which completely changed the outcome of the case. In the end, Klein's best argument was "Um, Hello!?" We brought back an oldie but a goodie today: Annoynimous! We got the chance to vent about all the things that annoy us about each other, anonymously. Today Ally was on the hot seat, and...

Ally's back after a long weekend away at a big gay wedding. And yes, she cleaned out the buffet. On the flight home a couple with a baby asked her the dreaded question: would you mind switching seats with us so we can sit together? It would have put Ally further back on the plane in a middle seat, so she said now. Is she an asshole? We shared the embarrassing contents of our Google search history today. Who on the show Googled "can dwarfs get pregnant?" Bad things come in threes, but what about fours? To give away tickets...

Today was full of weird feelings with the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We all felt differently. Omar wanting to reflect, Ally thinking the coverage was too depressing, and Johnny feeling unaffected as he's too young to remember the tragic event. Regardless, the day felt heavy and no feeling is wrong, except Johnny's. Former KTLA reporter Ellina Abovian returned to the studio today to break down the new Best Of LA issue of LA Magazine, which somehow we were featured in.
