Confused by why they always call The Players Championship a major when it clearly isn’t.  Could it ever be ?   Do the fans that show up to this event continually reduce the likelihood of it ever becoming a major?  Could the PGA championship be held outside the United States ?  Why is May not the correct month to host a major?

Got to catch the closing holes of Bay Hill as it funneled down to 2 players being in the hunt for the win on Sunday.  

It was good to see Akshay Bhatia overcome a mistake he made at 15 to win the tournament with a big clutch shot that was hit on a closing hole coming in.  It ended in a playoff with Akshay beating Daniel Berger to win in Orlando.

I was able to capture the Final Round from Riviera Country Club where Jacob Bridgeman held a 5 or 6 shot lead going into the final round of the 2026 Genesis Invitational at Riviera CC.  That lead dwindled to only a 1 shot heading into the 18th hole at Riviera.  He shot a 1 over par 72 on the final day holding off Rory McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama.

A small airplane took off on Sunday afternoon August 4th 2024 from McClellan AFB / Airport and crash landed on the east side of the Sacramento National / Haggin Oaks Blue And Red Nine golf course pro shop and blue and red practice putting green.  The Piper PA 28 Cherokee had an engine failure and the pilot had to make an emergency landing.  Miraculously this crash landing did not cause any substantial injury to either the pilot, golfers, or...

Merry Christmas Fellow Golfists,

Got to watch a little bit of the final round of the PNC Championship before Sunday afternoon Fortiner football in December 2023.  Got to see legends of the game play golf with members of their families and it was enjoyable to watch.  It was inspiring to see golf again.  I don't see myself watching much golf on the PGA Tour in 2024.  But at least it was possible to see this event after significant rain in the Orlando Metropolitan area this weekend and at least it didn't get postponed to finish on a Monday.

I got to catch the final round of the 2023 Fortinet Championship from Silverado Resort in Napa California on the Peacock channel and was so happy to see Sahith Theegala win his first ever tournament on the PGA Tour!!

The powers at be decided to reroute the golf course for this tournament to enhance the drama coming down the stretch to have much more of a climactic ending to this great event.

This host made an investment in a golf training aide product that already shaved 5 strokes off my game in my most recent golf outing.  I shot 75 on a golf course where I normally shoot 80 or 81.  Under difficult conditions at my local municipal golf course I had a very good day of golf.  I owe my success this past weekend to the device that is called the Leadbetter "Straight Away" training device from Performance Golf.
