France has been in the previous two World Cup finals, narrowly losing out to Lionel Messi’s Argentina in 2022. Since then, Didier Deschamps and the squad have adopted a new approach: in part due to criticism of their previous tactics, and in part due to freshening up the a natural evolution within the squad. 06/09/2026

Adrian Sousa previews England as one of the main Contenders going into the 2026 World Cup. England are now coached by Thomas Tuchel, and with him, they bring some genuine tournament-winning acumen. Tuchel masterminded a Chelsea champions League win, one year after taking PSG to the final as well. England’s qualifying campaign was fantastic, not conceding a single goal, but Tuchel’s England tactics have made some question his pragmatic approach. Considering the attacking threats that this England team has, are they still considered World Cup contenders?
