Hunter and Blasto are back with your next Ultimate guide. This one is a true pleasure since we're talking about the EMPYREAN. This faction happens to be one of my favorites and the same is true of Blasto so I feel like this is a special guide that we got both cohosts on the same page about the fun factor with this particular faction. Give it a listen and you too will be ready to stand awkwardly in the corner of the room just OBSERVING.

We're in our Action Card arc! Hopefully we'll finish it someday but today Hunter and Alec decided to jump over to the Twilight's Fall zone so that we can start ranking and discussing how good all of those cards are. This is the first of only two parts though so you won't have to wait quite as long for us to get through all of it! Very excited to dig into the TF tournament starting right around the corner, stay tuned!

Looks like we've gone right back into the meat! Today we're getting back into the Action Card deck and I gotta say this series is looking to be our first 8 part series. I promise I will try to edit it into one supercut whenever we finish because this is shaping up to be an absolutely GUARGANTUAN topic that our panel is fulling giving our full attention to. Seriously hats off to these guys: Me, Jadiim, and Blasto. These are probably best listened to in order but if you like to attack these based on starting letter I see you!<...

It's Hunter and Blasto week as we sit down to talk about the big bad nasty boys of the TI Universe. The Gene-Sorcerers have long been the go to choice for hardcore players of Twilight Imperium so let me stress to you that this episode is absolutely essential for playing the game at a high level since even if you aren't playing the Mahact, it's a Mahact world out there so you better get ready. Have a great Gen Con to those that are attending!

Okay so this is a little bit crazy but Hunbun, Jadiim, and Blasto sat down recently to begin a long journey where they evaluate every action card and rank it on a tier list. They did not fully understand how big of a lift that would be and they only were able to cover Ancient Burial Sites through Divert Funding. There will be many more episodes on this but you should expect this one to take a while. Personally I think this is our magnum opus.

Hunter and Jadiim are back in the lab again talking about another one of our most improved TI factions of the old times. It's the first of our original six factions in this cycle: THE BARONY. This episode actually features a lot of compliments for Dane which I feel like we don't do enough, he's the best though we lub Dane.

This week, Hunter and Blasto dig into the ULTIMATE topic for winning this dang ol' game. Legit probably the only episode you ever need to listen to if you want to win more of your games. Please everybody get in here and let's change the way everyone plays this game so that we'll have to record a new episode that is about how to deal with everyone playing so good.

Hunter drove all of his stuff across the country and things were tough so this is your late episode this week. It's a commentary episode over an old POK era episode where Matt and Hunter had a discussion on winmaking. It's a weird one but it was the best I could do given the circumstances. Next week everything is back to normal I triple dog promise.

This week Hunty needs a break while he prepares to shuffle his entire life across the country AGAIN, don't mind him this is just what he does. In the meantime Andcat was willing to sit down the old boy to have a whistlestop discussion of all of Thunder's Edge biggest unanswered rules questions. These would be great to get some feedback on whenever Dane gets some time to work on TI stuff but in the meantime let's just critique these two dorks while they grill through the ideas potluck style.

The boys are back in town! It's time to finish what we started with another blow-out discussion of all your favorite techs in Twilight Imperium. This week we get into the Level 2 and Level 3 techs along with all of the remaining Unit Upgrades. There are plenty of hot takes so please go nuts on telling us how much we got wrong, we'd just hate that ;P.

Errata: During the Titan's of Ul Hero discussion we mistakenly clarify it as not being an attachment when it in fact is an attachment! I was thinking of the Keleres IIHQ which players sometimes mistakenly confuse as being an attachment.

This week we've got Elspeth on the show to dig deep into the details on the 36 Prelims tournament games that we played this year. There's a lot of tasty morsels to learn about and I hope you are ready for the Semi-Finals which begin this weekend!

Hunter, Jadiim, and Blasto are here for a roundtable discussion that had to be divided into two parts because it would have been a five hour long episode. It's tier list week over here at SCPT and we've decided now is the time to tackle all the generic technology. This wide ranging discussion is full of solid takes on the state of the game and the importance of tech overall. In this episode we tackle all the Level 0 and 1 tech of every color and we talk about Carrier 2, Fighter 2, Infantry 2, and Space Dock 2. Also if you like Magen Defense...

This week we've got a bonus episode to start the week off with. I sat down with the one and only Elspeth to talk about why the Orlando Intergalactical was such a fun time. In this episode we fully explore the dynamics of her games and we even spoil her final in as much detail as we can muster so beware spoilers for a game that you cannot watch anyways! It's a fun conversation and if you like the sound of all of this you should really think about joining in on the next Tournament in Kansas City!

This week it's very serious. By popular demand of the Galactic Council themselves, I give you our ultimate guide to playing as the fan favorite faction of all time: The Arborec! This show has had a complicated history with this faction as they've been mostly a bottom tier faction for most of the Base Game and POK eras of TI4 but I'm proud to report that we've reached the end of that story: WELCOME TO THE SOLID B TIER ARBOREC!

Our first ultimate guide is here! This week Hunter and El Blasto give you every single thing you would ever want to know about Exploration. Each card gets its' due as the boys wax and whine over the nitty gritty details of this system that was introduced during the POK era. It's a simple topic but we really nail it, check it out!

I hope you didn't think we were done with Twilight's Fall content, because we have no intention of stopping! This week we're trying something experimental that I enjoyed quite a bit, we decided to actually simulate an inaugural splice so we talk through some of the decision making process that goes into the initial draft. It's really clear in talking through it that there is a lot of difficult decisions to be made in this game mode. I really want to continue encouraging people to try it as it's an extremely fun way to experience this game. Anyways if...

Arcs is back baby! This week I've got Cole and Josh of Buried Giant Studios on to talk about the future of the best space opera competitive strategy game that isn't called Twilight Imperium. They've really out done themselves with the promise of new leaders, new fates, a new draft system reminiscent of the advanced setup rules for Root and perhaps even secret conversations. It's a new dawn for Arcs and I'm excited to see how it develops.

This week Hunter and Jadiim are indulging in our yearly tradition of recommending how best to experience Twilight Imperium at this point! We're rounding up all of the various options for getting involved and all of the crazy new and old ways you can experience the game. Hey hey! I've got a bonus episode for you all this week. This extra episode is an in-depth interview with the designer of The Old King's Crown Pablo Clark. We had a great conversation about the unexpected success of this deep strategy game that I hope you will enjoy. The game is currently headed for it's second printing so if you feel like this sounds up your weird strategy alley you should check it out below!

This week we finally reach the end of our first pass on everything new included in the Thunder's Edge expansion! Only about six months to talk about everything. We've been very specific about it to, I think we've saved the best for last. The Firmament is far from the greatest faction but I think what they bring to the table is so fresh that it's just too exciting to ignore. So sit down with Me and Blasto as we wax poetic on what works and what doesn't and remember to keep an open mind, there was a time that...

Our final component overview episode for Twilight's Fall! From here on out it's gonna get weirder and more specific so study up this week with Hunter and Blasto as they sit down again for another absolute barn burner of an overview. Every single Genome and Paradigm is spoken aloud into our microphones. I hope you have been following along with the Twilight's Fall episodes because going forward we're going to be changing how we cover this stuff and it's going to get more specific and complicated. This will all be on the test!
