The Detroit Tigers lost 5-4 to the Texas Rangers in MLB action on Wednesday afternoon from Comerica Park in Detroit. Tarik Skubal started for the Detroit Tigers allowing 4 runs in 6 and one third innings. Kerry Carpenter and Parker Meadows each had home runs for the Detroit Tigers. The Texas Rangers have won two of the first three games of the series with the series finale scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Kenta Maeda will start for the Detroit Tigers while Jack Lieter makes his Major League debut for the Texas Rangers.

The Detroit Tigers beat the Texas Rangers 4-2 in MLB action on Tuesday afternoon at Comerica Park in Detroit. The Detroit Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to break a 2-2 tie when Gio Urshella singled home Zach McKinstry and later Matt Vierling scored on a wild pitch. Tigers starter Casey Mize pitched six innings allowing 2 earned runs while striking out 6. The Tigers bullpen combined for three innings of shutout baseball with Andrew Chafin earning the win and Jason Foley picking up the save.
