The Detroit Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to break a 2-2 tie when Gio Urshella singled home Zach McKinstry and later Matt Vierling scored on a wild pitch. Tigers starter Casey Mize pitched six innings allowing 2 earned runs while striking out 6. The Tigers bullpen combined for three innings of shutout baseball with Andrew Chafin earning the win and Jason Foley picking up the save.
