On today's episode of Vinyl Fridays Brandon & AP Lindsay pay tribute to the long running label Island Records. Inspired by the Harry Belafonte movie & song "Island in the Sun" the label was founded in Jamaica in 1959, and specialized in  Jamaican folk music, Ska, and reggae before relocating to London in the mid-sixties, where  they would branch out into jazz, British folk, progressive rock, and then Punk, New Wave, Post-Punk and more . . . .
