The General Manager of the West Coast Council David was in the studio with the latest from the West Coast Council. He spoke about the disappointment of the cancellation of the Unconformity and the impact it will have on the community. He also informed us on the recommencement on the Roadworks around Tullah and the sensational news of the filming of a new series on the west coast.

The West Coast Council General Manager David was in the studio this morning, reiterating the need for Life guards for the swimming pools. Without life guards, the pools cannot open , so if you are interested , contact council for more information. Nominations for the West Coast Spirit Awards are now open. A reminder too that the second rates installment will be due soon.

The General Manager of the West Coast Council David was in the studio this week for The Mayor on Air with Skirvo. He touched on The Heemskirk Mountain Bike Trail. Next Level Mountain Bike PTY LTD has been appointed the construction contract to this trail and David outlined the time frame of completion. He also touched on the West Coast Walks Strategy and informed us of vandalism in Strahan 

On this week's edition of Mayor on air, and the first for October 2021, The Mayor, Shane Pitt was in the studio with Skirvo. Big turnout to the recent Meet and Greet in Zeehan. The Mayor also answered the question from a listener inquiring where our recycling goes and he spoke about the disappointing occurrence at the Tas Health Rosebery Pfizer 
Vaccination Clinic. 

In this week's edition,  The General Manager of the West Coast Council, David was in the studio. He provided us with an explanation as to why the Zeehan highway Yolande River section was repaired after the first landslide, he let us know of the many job opportunities available at the council and reminded us about the Strahan parking now operational.

The General Manager of the West Coast Council David was in the studio for Mayor on Air this week. The school students thoroughly enjoyed A Day in the Life of the West Coast Council.  Plenty of expressions of interest has been sought in relation to the review into West Coast's Waste Fees and Charges. Positions are also vacant for Life Savers at the swimming pools and for an Economic Development Officer at the Council.

Today, the General Manager of the West Coast David was in the studio for this week's Mayor on air.  There are some expressions of interest sought at the moment by the council, there is a meet and greet the council event in Zeehan coming up and some job opportunities available as well.

This week on Mayor on Air, Mayor Shane Pitt was in the studio with Skirvo. He outlined the positive aspects of the state budget for the West Coast, talked about the number of people using the Mount Owen bike tracks and he also wished the Queenstown Crows all the best for the Grand Final in the Darwin Football Association this weekend.

Mayor Shane Pitt and West Coast Council GM David were on the breakie show this morning for this week's Mayor on air. Today they talked about a Shopfront solution proposed for vacant businesses in Queenstown,  the state of the west coast roads and their ongoing lobbying with the state government to repair the Murchison Highway and they let us know they are seeking expressions of interest for a review of waste management costs, fees and charges.

On this week's Mayor on Air, Mayor Shane Pitt and the Council's General Manager David outlined the new services offered by the Royal Flying Doctors Service for the West Coast, reminded us about the rates due and outlined the Grants available for the community.

This week on Mayor on air, the Mayor and General Manager commented on the closure of the Commonwealth Bank Queenstown Branch and outlined all the maintenance going on at the moment in and around the west coast.  

Mayor Shane Pitt was on the phone to talk with Skirvo about the latest from the West Coast Council, including what the council is doing to repare the West Coast Roads, the good news of the extension of the track to Horsetail Falls and the Proposal of a new Shiploader in Burnie which will be a huge boost for the West Coast and the mining industry.

This week on Mayor on air, once again Skirvo was joined by Mayor Shane Pitt and The General Manager of the West Coast Council David Midson. They discussed the safety protocols in place for the Mount Owen mountain bike Tracks and when they would close the tracks for extreme weather conditions, the recent council meeting, the grants currently available from the West Coast Council and much more.

This week on Mayor on Air, Acting Mayor Shane Pitt and the West Coast Council General Manager David Midson joined Skirvo, discussing West Coast Roads and Road Safety and the West Coast Town to Town Mountain Bike Trail options. They also let us know tourist number have been up on the West Coast during these school holidays 

On this week's Mayor on Air, Acting Mayor Shane Pitt was in the studio. Today he talked about the Community Car and Coach Fund, reminded us that dog registrations are due for renewal this month and outlined the completion of many of the Mount Owen Mountain Bike Trails.

The General Manager of the West Coast Council David Midson was in the studio with Skirvo. Today he outlined the 5 step by step process of voting in the current West Coast Bi Election. He reminded us that there is a Cat Management plan in progress for the Queenstown CBD and that is illegal to tamper with the traps set. He also reminded us that dog registration expired on Wednesday and need to be renewed as soon as possible and he invited us to the official opening of the Tullah Gym on Tuesday 13th June 

On The mayor on air this morning, Acting Mayor Shane Pitt and The West Coast Council General Manager David Midson joined Skirvo. David asked a question from a listener who was concerned about the new new parking signs throughout Queenstown, including outside the council chambers and the effect it might have on the elderly. David also commented on the MMG Tailings protests whilst Shane spoke about the new Rosebery Park Oval Scoreboard.

They discussed the rules and regulations in relation to maintaining fires and wood heaters efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way, the opening of the Tullah Community Gym on 13th July and a Food Safety Training Session at The Heemskirk Motor Hotel in Zeehan on Wednesday 30th June
