This week, Les and Nick get another dose of their favorite reality competition show, PHYSICAL100!! The show heads to Mexico to see who is the best physical (? that seems grammatically wrong). We love the series, but will the change to another country and culture shift the show? Let's find out!!

Hot on the heels of a Carrie remake that was surprisingly good, we head back to the camp that started the Friday the 13th series! CRYSTAL LAKE! Will it be trashy fun, like the franchise? Or will it be hack awfulness, like the franchise?? Either way, it can't have a hockey mask due to rights issues, so let's see what happens!

Plus, Avatar: Seven Havens continues to be amazing! Nick talks Helluva Boss and Hazbin! Let's GOOOOO!

This week, we take a break from the spooky to talk about our Patreon pick of the month from JPV! It's an NZ-produced sitcom about the funniest of all injuries - mysterious spinal paralysis!! Did the show charm the Dudes? Yes. Yes it did.

Then on diaries - Avatar: Seven Havens! That Carrie series!! Let's GOOOOO!!!

This week, we check out Mike Flanagan's new Carrie series on Prime, and get the answer to the eternal question - do we need a (i wanna say) FIFTH Carrie iteration?

TURNS OUT, YES.

The show is fantastic so far, and we'll get into all our thoughts on the changes, the performances, and more. We're only halfway through the series, so we assume prom goes great for her, right?

Plus, that LANTERNS finale. What the ever-lovin'...

And that TED LASSO finale! Stuck the landing on an uneven season.

And...

This week, Les and Nick kick off Spooky Season with Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice's simple as hell but endlessly entertaining CREEP series! You know, the one about a serial killer who hires victims to film him...

Two movies that shouldn't have worked gave way to three seasons of the dead-simplest anthology show. Is it good? Yeah, actually. It's pretty freaking fun. Let's discuss!

Plus, Lanterns! President Curtis, Ted Lasso, and more!

This week, Nick and Les spotlight a great new animated show over on Netflix that we think is getting lost in the shuffle - it's the Mike Schur co-produced DANG! and it's funny as hell. Wanna know why?? We get into all the hilarious details. Let's GO!

Plus: President Curtis, Neagley, and you know we watched Lanterns...

This week, Patreon Showrunner JPV picks the topic, and it's THE VARNELL HILL SHOW! Nick and Les didn't grow up on much Martin, and might be lost as hell in this spinoff of a decades-old sitcom. But we're rolling through it anyway! Les loves a classic sitcom... maybe this'll charm the Dudes. Let's GO!

Plus - REACHER FINALE! New Ted Lasso! That LANTERNS episode!!

#TheVarnellHillShow #Reacher #TedLasso #Lanterns

This week, we check out the spin-off of Rick and Morty starring Keith David as the coolest president ever! Can PRESIDENT CURTIS define itself against the juggernaut of RICK & MORTY? (Spoilers - it's pretty fantastic!)

Plus, we check in on REACHER, talk about TED LASSO, and you know we watched LANTERNS! Let's GOOOOOOO!

This week, we're chatting about Season 2 of the FX sitcom ADULTS! Les binged s1 last year and liked it, but didn't go and tell the world... now season 2 is back, and seems stronger? more dialed-in? Less Billie-centric? But the burning question - Will Nick think it's funny??

Plus, we talk a little Lasso, a little Lanterns, and that FURIOUS FINALE!!... it's all in the diaries! Let's GOOOOOO!!

That's right! With two episodes out, we're talkin' Lanterns! Nick and Les are both comics nerds, and are ready for a space-farin' crazy aliens and glowing oven mitts show about Hal and John!

Ah. Or, I guess a True Detective meets Fargo thing with a power ring that makes birds and can openers. That's fine too. Let's GOOOO!!!

This week, patreon member JPV picks the show (you can too! It's the Showrunner tier!)

We watched season one of Diarra From Detroit (well, Les watched s1, Nick watched episodes 1-4) and are back in town to tell you what we thought! Will this modern noir mystery charm the dudes? Let's find out!!

Plus, diaries! We got Rick & Morty, Reacher, Ted Lasso, Furious, and the My Adventures with Superman FINALE! Let's GOOOOO!

34:30-46:55 Ted Lasso S4

This week, we're VERY ANGRY (if only there were a better word... oh wait!) We're FURIOUS at how much we're enjoying Hulu's new crime show! Emmy Rossum is Agent Alice Black, and if she can keep it together, she might just catch one of the more interesting serial killers on TV. It's heavy subject matter, and much funnier than it should be (but that's to be expected from the creator of Dying For Sex...)

Hear all about it, plus: An X-Men'97 FINALE?? My Adventures With Superman penultimate! New Ted Lasso! Nick watched something called PANTHEON and loved...

This week, we visit an old friend in Kansas (or is this Missouri?) and recruit Ted Lasso back onto our screens! Will the fourth season be all that we need from this most special of shows? Maybe. Who knows? We're one episode in, people.

But yes. It's great so far. Hear us gush about all things Lasso rightnow!

This week, we hit the links for Will Ferrell's return to TV on Netflix' THE HAWK! We're told he's a golfer, perhaps the GREATEST GOLFER IN THE WORLD! With a stacked cast of comedians and a Happy Gilmore-ish premise, we're down to watch a few. What will we think?? Tune in and find out!!

Then, we check out My Adventures with Superman, XMen97, and more in diaries! Let's GOOOOOOO!

#MyAdventuresWithSuperman #XMen97 #TheHawk

This week, we recover from the 600th Episode reunion with a catch-up on everything we've been watching! XMEN97? Heck Yeah!! My Adventures with Superman? Yes, please. A little Cape Fear? Don't mind if I do. Plus, Les chats about Sugar (no spoilers) and Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (a surprise gem, all eps available now on Apple).

and then there's a little something to be said about those final two episodes of The Vampire Lestat...

Let's go!

#MyAdventuresWithSuperman #CapeFear #TheVampireLestat #MaximumPleasureGuaranteed #TheTVDudes

This week, we celebrate our 600th (at least) episode with a reunion of the Dudes! Grant, Randy, Kyle, Nick, and Les have a chaotic catch-up about all things TV Dudes! What are our previous hosts watching, now that they don't have to discuss it weekly?? Will Kyle drive Nick nuts? Was Nick already too crazy for us to notice the shift? All these answers, plus Grant tells us about Dungeon Crawler Carl, which is a book (we're told it's a thing you "read").

We'll investigate. Let's GO!!

This week, we journey across the pond for 2025's british sitcom Transaction! It's a workplace comedy about a transgender egomaniac, her flatmate, and their coworkers... does it get to the heart of what makes sitcoms work across the history of television? Or will this be a cringe-worthy misfire of epic proportions? Jordan Gray just got an award for her stand-up, so let's see if it works in a show! (Spoilers - It does. This was pretty cute.)

Plus - all our desserts, and Nick watched Avatar live action season 2, and some X-Men '97 season 2!

This week, Nick and Les check out a new Disney animated co-production with anime influences - will they like it?? Turns out YES!! Dragon Striker on Disney/Hulu is a charming, beautifully animated show about a magical soccer school (kinda) and the team of scrappy punks that have to learn how to use their innate magical powers to play the game. We were hooked and tore through all the episodes. Can't wait for season 2 in 2027. Wondering WHY we loved it? Listen here and find out!

Plus: Vampire Lestat, FROM season finale, and My Adventures With Superman.

This week, patrons pick the show! Patreon member JPV is back with another show for us to watch, and it's ALICE & STEVE! It's a comedy with the premise "what if your best friend slept with your child" and hilarity ensues!

No, but really - the child in question is 26 and getting her doctorate, and there's some other mitigating factors. Does the show win us over or leave us squicked out over the whole thing? Remarkably, the former... until it loses us at the very end.

Plus, Vox Machina, Lestat, From, Supes, and more in the di...

This week, Nick and Les head back to Metropolis to catch up with Lois, Jimmy, Kara and Clark in My Adventures with Superman! It's our favorite super-show on tv right now, and every week of the previous seasons was a treat. Will S3 keep up the charm? Probably so :) We love this show.

As we continue our coverage from ATX TV Fest Season 15, we're catching up with the wonderful Eliza Bennett to look back at the incredible legacy of Sweet/Vicious.

A few days following the show's emotional 10-year anniversary reunion panel, Eliza was kind enough to get on the phone with me and chat about her favorite behind-the-scenes memories of playing Jules, the intense material of the show, and what it means to look back a decade later. It's a great interview, and I hope you enjoy!

As part of our ATX Television Fest Season 15 coverage, we sat down with the author and the showrunner behind one of last year's most exciting surprises—Netflix's THE HUNTING WIVES. Author May Cobb and Showrunner Rebecca Cutter discuss the adaptation process, the appeal of small-town Texas, and their collaborative dynamic. Meeting them ahead of Season 2 was a pleasure, and I'm excited for you to hear our conversation. Let's go!

This week, Les and Nick take a trip down south to Georgia and the Carolinas for Apple's new thriller series, CAPE FEAR! It's based on an awesome novel and two great movies, so let's see how the new adaptation holds up! Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, Javier Bardem and a slew of narrative changes await us. Let's go!

Plus, Les checks out the spooky-Cocoon vibe of The Boroughs, while Nick catches up on the new eps of Vox Machina and the old eps of Homicide: Life on the Streets! And you know we gots to talk FROM...

This week, we SPIDER! After resting up from ATX Fest, we settled in for a little 1930s black and white (or is it in color??) mystery with Nic Cage and the greatest Electro ever done on-screen. Did we love it? Honestly, yeah. It's pretty fun. Find out all the things we dug (and a few things that stuck in our craw) in this week's episode!

Plus - new FROM! That HACKS finale! Nick dives into the AMC Immortal Universe! Will our hearts survive?

1:25-12:30 TV Diaries

As part of our ATX TV Fest Season 15 coverage, Les sits down with the gang from Everyone is Doing Great! Stephen Colletti, James Lafferty, Michelle Lang, and Michael Grubbs give us their thoughts on making indie television, their dreams for season 3, how it feels to be on Netflix, and much more.

From the FNL reunion to Bill Lawrence's friends to the Sweet/Vicious panel - it's RECAP time, baby!!

As part of our ATX Television Fest Season 15 coverage, Les was lucky enough to chat with Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow of the hit show The Way Home. We talk about how time travel can make character work more complex for the actor, how the show feels particularly Canadian, and what the journey of the Landry family has meant to them.

This week, in prep for ATX Television Fest, we checked out the indie-TV comedy Everyone is Doing Great! Les is chatting up the creators and cast (same folks!) this weekend at fest, and we'll have that interview out soon. In the meantime, EIDG is streaming on Netflix and we checked out the second season.

Patron JPV picks the show this week! Nick and Les head back to school for Amazon's newest foray into what we'd previously thought of as CW/Freeform territory. Plus! Diaries, Hacks, From, and that BOYS FINALE - daaaaaaaaaaaang, y'all!

NEXT WEEK! ATX Television Fest!! We'll be there all weekend, but we'll be sporting TV Dude Yellow on Saturday so if you see us, say hey!

This week, we were planning on Lording it over some Flies, but instead found ourselves swimmin' in Tooch with the new season of Citadel! Does this season fix all the things that didn't work for us in season 1? Kinda. Does it do the good work of putting Tucci and Raynor together in the road trip spy movie we desperately want?? Sometimes.

We'll dive into all our feelings about it, plus The Boys, The Rookie, Rooster and much more! Let's GOOOO!

We're in a Big Mood this week with our newest Patreon Showrunner pick from JPV! We really enjoyed the dark comedy of Camilla Whitehill's show (who doesn't love Nicola Coughlan??) We get into everything we laughed at and all the weird quirks of this very British mental-health comedy series!

1:00- TV Diaries

This week on the TV Dudes Podcast, Nick and Les are tackling the Netflix thriller with the ominous title: Something Very Bad is Going to Happen. While the middle of the season might meander a bit through the woods, we both agree that the ending sticks the landing in a major way! We discuss the pacing, the payoff, and why the destination was ultimately worth the cold feet.

Plans change when TV is this good! We originally intended to dive into the eerie mysteries of Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen on Netflix, but then we saw the Paradise Season 2 finale. Nick and Les were so floored by the ending of Dan Fogelman's latest masterpiece that we had to pivot and give it the full deep dive it deserves. We break down those shocking final moments, the "Alex" of it all, and what that explosive ending means for a potential Season 3. Don't worry, we'll get back to the Netflix nuptials next week!

It's been three years since Les chatted with the incredible Claybourne Elder, and he's back to discuss his most personal project yet. Claybourne's new album, "If the Stars Were Mine," officially drops this Friday, April 3rd from Center Stage Records.

In this episode, Clay opens up about the year-long journey of curating this record and the unique vulnerability of stepping away from a script to tell his own story. We explore the inspiration behind tracks like "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and how fatherhood shaped the song "Paving the Runway." Plus, we chat about City of Strangers...
