Jon Easter talks with the "Voice of the Indianapolis 500" Mark Jaynes a few days before the broadcast of the 109th Running of the biggest sporting event on the planet. 

Mark Jaynes, the "Voice of the Indianapolis 500" joins us. He talks about his job at IndyCar Radio as well as being the leader of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network broadcast of the Indy 500. Mark is also the Communications Instructor at Monrovia High School. Producer Kyran Sandullo shares his final thoughts, and host Jon Easter expresses condolences over the passing of Indianapolis Colts owner, Jim Irsay.

In the 35th episode of the 2024/2025 school year, Dr. Jeff Butts shares important happenings in Wayne Township as well as great things happening in our schools. His guest this week is Ben Davis High School Valedictorian Binyame Samuel.

Jordan Johnson, Ben Davis English Teacher and the Graduation Coordinator, joins us to discuss the changes in the ceremony as it moves from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum back to Ben Davis High School's Giant Stadium for the first time since 2014. Graduation has been held off campus for all but that 2014 ceremony since 2008.

With a little under one month left in the 2024/2025 school year it's an opportunity to celebrate all the great things that have happened in Wayne Township this year. Dr. Butts speaks with McClelland Elementary's Shannon Copeland, the Wayne Township Elementary Teacher of the Year. He also shares some updates and celebrates other great things happening in the district.

Alumnus of the WBDG Program, Tri-West High School and Area 31, and current IU Indianapolis student, Samuel Pearman, discusses what he's up to now in college and his growth as a person and a student.

Mr. Dana Webb called in to help us kick off the WBDG 59 Marathon. Mr. Webb served as one of the first WBDG General Managers, and he is on the Ben Davis Wall of Fame as an Alumnus. He was on the first WBDG radio staff in 1965/66 as a student.

Mr. Justin Allison, the Chair of the Ben Davis High School Art Department, stopped in to discuss the Arts Alive Festival coming to Ben Davis on Saturday, May 3, from 10 am to 4 pm.
