With the summer break over, Danny and Karl are back and it’s been a busy few weeks with Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Thruxton all delivering plenty of action.

Brands Hatch saw Kyle Ryde dominate the weekend with two wins, while Scott Redding took the final race. Max Cook was incredibly consistent, taking three podiums as the championship battle at the front continued to tighten.

We're back!  Jim and Rich get together after a long summer break to talk about the British Grand Prix from Silverstone.  The Moto3 race was a wild affair as championship leader Max Quiles broke his collar bone in qualifying. With Rich off at Donington WSBK round, Jim put together an all American team with the help of Scott Bolton.  The guys started of with the sad news of the passing of Marc van der Straten.  The founder of Marc VDS was 78.  After discussing the rider market news they jumped into the racing action.  

Moto3 was a unique race as Brian Uriarte secured pole and lead almost the entire race.  Quiles briefly led but lost the front, recovered and finished second.  At this point Max has one had firmly on the championship trophy.

Scott and Jake review MotoAmerica races at The Ridge in Shelton, Washington.  The relatively young circuit has a wide range of features and significant elevation change.  At the first rainy wet weekend of the MotoA season SDK shows he is quite serious about winning Superbike races, Herrin recovers points in Supersport, Kayla secures yet another pole, and the Talent Cup title fight begins to boil over.  Also, Super Hooligans produces firsts for the Arch team and Northwest talent Andy DiBrino.

Jim returns from holiday to join Rich and discuss all the action from Assen.  They cover the news of riders and what teams they will be racing for next year.  The other major news of note is that Yamaha will be the sole supply of new Moto3 bikes based on the R7.  

The racing action was as action packed as ever and the Moto3 race was won by Quiles with a great outside move at the chicane.  With this win it seems like Quiles has both hands firmly on this championship

This episode, Danny and Karl discuss round 3 of the British Superbikes from Knockhill. It wasn't the wet, washout we are used to but in the blazing sunshine, Ryde didn't have it all his own way. Scott Redding pulled off a great win after a red flag halted proceedings in race 3. There were crashes, controversy and an old family name gets to the top of the podium in British Supersport. Karl also tells us about his near miss at his most recent track day and Danny is back on solid ground after being with Motopod royalty for the last podcast. 

Jim is on vacation, so this week Rich is joined on the pod by co-host Danny Smith to chat through all of the news and goings on from Round 9 at Brno in Czechia. Going into the weekend the news was dominated by the signing at last of the new 5 year commercial agreement between the manufactures and the MotoGP Group. One of the races of the season, with Bulega in trouble, albeit for a short time. Normal service resumed across the weekend with a complete domination and more records broken by Ducati's main man. The Isle of Man TT has been and gone for another year! This year is one that will stick in our minds for years to come but unfortunately not for the right reasons. The spirits were damper than the weather after two fatalities and a number of injuries. Tributes paid to Dan Ingham and Alan Oversby sadly lost their lives doing what they love. We had serious injuries for Maria Costello, Shaun Parker, Ryan and Callum Crowe, Jamie Cringle, Erno Kostamo and lucky boy Michael Evans walked away from two big crashes. MotoGP Round 8 came from the Balaton Park circuit in Hungary, almost universally despised as a venue for world championship motorcycle racing. In the news we have changes coming for race starts, with the ride height devices going from Silverstone onwards and grid positions being more spaced out from the German round. There was also the sensational news concerning Leopard racing and alleged engine tampering in Moto3. Watch this space on that particular story. Scott and Jake review MotoAmerica races at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.  The huge 4mile circuit built in the '50s has several long straights that produce many drafting battles.  Warhorse Ducati continues to suffer a disappointing Superbike season riddled with bad luck and misfortune, Binder is now the favorite in Supersport, and Jake thinks he knows why Hayden Gillim is the fastest on a Bagger.

Jim and Rich are joined by Karl Hun, who just returned from the races at Mugello, to talk about all the racing action.  Moto3 was as exciting as ever.  It kicked off with qualifying when many riders missed their final laps because they waited in the pits too long.  Quiles never could catch a tow and ended up starting from 15th.  He soon raced his way to the front but almost high sided in the last corner on the penultimate and finished off the podium for the first time this year.

Scott interviewed Jayson Uribe (102:50), Kayla Yaakov (110:54), Alessandro Di Mario (116:18) on Friday, and Mathew Scholtz (122:04) on Saturday.  Jake interviewed Kensei Matsudaira (127:45) and JD Beach (134:32) on Saturday.

MotoGP Round 6 came from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The weekend was unseasonally cold throughout, leading to many crashes across the weekend. In Moto3, Max Quilles continued to dominate, whilst in Moto2 Manuel Gonzales took the win to further strengthen his early hold on the title fight. In MotoGP we had an exciting Saturday Sprint race, followed by a main Grand Prix with 3 starts following red flags for serious crashes involving Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco. MotoGP Round 4 came from Spain’s iconic Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto. Weather was a feature this year, with a crazy MotoGP Sprint where the heavens opened and one Marc Marquez rode his luck to snatch a somewhat surprise win. Sunday offered up dry conditions and masterclass races from Max Quiles and Senna Agius in Moto2 and Moto3 respectively. MotoGP Round 2 came from Brazil’s Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia, hosting a round for the first time since 1989. An action packed weekend, with crazy weather, a massive crowd, some good racing and more than a fair share of chaos with sink holes and track break-up detracting from what was, overall, a great reintroduction for Brazil onto the MotoGP calendar. Its early days in the championships, but already Moto3 and Moto2 are revealing the likely front runners. Jim and Rich are back for the first time in 2026, this time to have a run through the news, rank the entire 2025 MGP grid, justify their top 10’s and hand out the annual wooden spoons. Incidentally, after some minor confusion as to where the concept originated, post-show Rich leaned on Google and determined that "Wooden Spoon" (as a prize for coming last) stems from 19th-century Cambridge University, as a booby prize for the lowest math exam score, later adopted into rugby in 1894 and subsequently other sports and competitions.

Jim and Rich review the final MotoGP Round from Valencia in Spain. With two of the three championships already decided, the main interest for the weekend was on the Moto2 title decider, with Diogo Moreira triumphing in the championship ahead of his move up to MotoGP with LCR Honda.
