PHILLIES POSTCAST: Philadelphia Phillies bats NOT CLUTCH in 4-2 loss to San Diego Padres
#1494

Phillies bats can’t get the big hit to back Ranger Suarez as they fall to the Padres 4-2.

The Phillies had a great chance in the 5th inning with the bases loaded and two outs, when Bryce Harper stepped to the play, but the slugger grounded the first pitch to first base to end the threat.

They got another huge chance with the bases loaded and one out in the 8th, but Nick Castellanos swung at ball four, that would have walked in a game tying run, instead, he hit a drib...

Next, a look at some of the latest trade deadline news surrounding the Phillies, including an intriguing outfield move that could open up space for an internal addition to the roster. Finally, a preview of the Phillies' final series of the pre-All-Star break...

PHILLIES POSTCAST: Phillies BLOW OUT Giants, 13-0
#1491
Last Wednesday at 11:47 PM

The Philadelphia Phillies DOMINATED the Giants 13-0 to avoid getting swept out of San Francisco.

This season, there has been the elite version of Jesus Luzardo and the awful version of Jesus Luzardo. Today, he was ELITE! Seven scoreless innings of three-hit baseball, striking out seven and walking only one. He improves to 8-5 on the year.

As the score would indicate, the floodgates opened for the Phillies’ offense. First it was, an RBI single by JT Realmuto in the 2nd inning, Then in the 4th, Bryce Harper added a solo homer...

#1489
Last Wednesday at 5:28 AM

Philadelphia Phillies lose in AWFUL fashion as they drop game two of their series with the San Francisco Giants, 4-3.

Patrick Bailey belted a COOKIE off a pitch from Jordan Romano off the angled wall in left center field in San Francisco and came all the way around to score the game winning run on his WALK OFF 3-RUN HOMER!

The 9th inning wastes a solid night for so many other Phillies.

Taijuan Walker made his first start since May 30th. He threw four innings allowing one run on...

#1487
Last Tuesday at 5:32 AM

The Philadelphia Phillies fell to the San Francisco Giants, 3-2 on a night that featured a WHOLE LOT OF AWFUL!

Phillies bats when 0-for-6 in the game and are now 0-for-their-last-24 overall. The only run they squeezed out came on a wild pitch in the 5th inning that allowed Bryson Stott to score from third.

Orion Kerkering pitched the 8th with the score tied at one. He gave up a hit, hit two batters and was charged for two runs that were the difference in the game. Throw Kerkering was wild, hom...

Zack Wheeler threw a complete game one-hitter as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Cincinnati Reds, 3-1.

Kyle Schwarber took Wheeler off the hook in the bottom of the 5th with an RBI single.

He threw 80 pitches in the outing. After the game Rob Thomson said Suarez was on an 85 pitch limit today, that's why he was pulled early. Finally, with 2 righties on the mound for the Padres in today's doubleheader, what should be Rob...

PHILLIES POSTCAST: Zack Wheeler FLAT OUT NASTY in 4-0 Win over San Diego Padres
#1477
07/01/2025

Zack Wheeler tossed eight-scoreless as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the San Diego Padres 4-0.

Bryson Stott was sure to get his starter some run support, unlike Wheeler's last start. Stott brough Max Kepler home from third on a high bouncer to second base in the 2nd inning. Then Stott made a great heads up play in the 4th. Brandon Marsh stepped to the plate in the 4th inning with Stott on second base. Marsh hit a grounder to first, but Padres' pitcher Matt Waldron was late to cover the bag. Stott recognized the chaos caused by...

After a 13-run performance in game one against the Braves, the Phillies fell back into the same troubles they've been experiencing on this road trip. Not scoring!

Jesus Luzardo threw five innings of two-run baseball but did not receive a single run of support, WHILE he was in the game. He did, however receive some rough defense from Nick Castellanos in the 2nd inning that led to a run being scored one batter later.

Ranger Suarez was the victim in game one and in game two it was Zack Wheeler's turn.

Phillies had a great opportunity to make something happening the 8th inning when they loaded the bases with one out, but Alec Bohm struck out chasing a fastball away followed by a Nick Castellanos ground out to sho...

#1467
06/25/2025

Philadelphia Phillies bats fail to support an absolute GEM of a start from Ranger Suarez, as they lose to the Astros, 1-0.

If Ranger Suarez has been BRILLIANT this season, then tonight he was a ROCKET SCIENTIST! The Lefty took a no-hitter into the 6th inning before Yainer Diaz just rolled one through the infield, opposite side of the shift for Houston’s first hit. Suarez needed just 50 pitches to get through his first five innings on the night.

Suarez pitched into the 8th inning where he allowed the first run of the...

The Philadelphia Phillies allowed SEVEN HOME RUNS as they fall to the New York Mets 11-4.

Mick Abel got his first taste of the Phillies-Mets rivalry and it DID NOT go well for the 23 year-old righty. Abel allowed four solo homers to the Mets over his three innings of work. He also surrendered six hits.

Abel wasn’t alone in giving up the long ball. Bullpen arms; Joe Ross, Michael Mercado and Taijuan Walker all gave up homers as well.
