Thunderbird Conservation Park is undergoing trailhead improvements beginning April 6. The upgrades to the trailheads include adding shade structures and new restrooms, adding historical and environmental signage, paving parking areas, and planting new native plants. All trails will remain open during construction. The planned improvements are expected to be completed in late summer 2027. The Arizona Department of Transportation has entered the final year of work on a project to construct a free-flowing interchange that will reduce delays on the main route between Arizona and Las Vegas. ADOT has completed about 70% of the project connecting Interstate 40 and US 93 in west Kingman, where the new interchange is expected to open in early 2027. The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a project that replaced the Allentown Bridge spanning Interstate 40 just west of the New Mexico line near the Navajo Nation community of Houck.
