Sacred Valley 100 Mile Ultramarathon ROUND 3
#106
07/17/2023

Here it is! At long last, the Sacred Valley 100 Mile Ultramarathon Rodeo roundup recap bonanza. My third attempt at this personal challenge of mine, for those who are new here. Another failed attempt, more great adventure. This third failure was a tough pill to swallow. I've finally choked it down. The episode is long...over 3.5 hours. It opens with a 30 minute introduction recorded by me alone, a month after the day of the run on June 11. The introduction is somewhat of a love letter. A little bit of heartbreak, and a little bit of hope. Mostly, I'm trying to...

Welcome back the Dustin, The Wind podcast!

Thank you all for tuning in after a long hiatus. You’ve made a fantastic decision as we are joined this week by a special guest, a tough and gritty girl in the midst of her own grand adventure— I call her Olivia “In Bolivia” Grazziano. Olivia and I met in Pisac, Peru as she made a pit stop in the Sacred Valley and was caught in the valley's vortex, like countless other's (myself included), in a tale as old as time.

Olivia has...

104. Happy 2nd Birthday to the Dustin, The Wind podcast
#104
10/13/2022

Welcome everyone to the Dustin, The Wind's second birthday party. Unfortunately, it's not much of a celebration. But I do share my thoughts on what I have learned through podcasting over the last two years. I talk about the value I've gotten out of expressing myself from wardrobes, to hairstyles, to podcasting. Putting myself out in the world. Having a voice. Having a style. I talk about what will happen with the podcast moving forward and what I will be up to moving forward. The pressure of having a girlfriend, wife, and "normal" life. My vision of tomorrow. Taking care...

103. Update on 75 Semi-hard and Book
#103
10/05/2022

#lawdhaveMercer This week I give a quick update on 75 semi-flaccid Hard after a long weekend of wedding-ing. I talk mostly about diets- bouncing back after long weekends, bouncing back after craving breakdowns, and always bouncing back to a healthy lifestyle. Diets are dumb, healthy lifestyles are better. (3 days heavy drinking at weddings is not healthy*). I also share exciting news regarding what is now known as the Bolivian Backpacker Series but will soon be known in book form by a different name. I hired a developmental editor to provide feedback on the first 5000 words of the draft and I was...

102.Sam Vardanyan on the State of Armenia
#102
09/26/2022

On Wednesday morning (9/21), Armenia’s Independence Day, I sat down with Sam to discuss* the state of Armenia and the events which took place last week in Armenia and Yerevan. Including attacks by Azerbaijan on sovereign Armenian land and a subsequent visit by Nancy Pelosi- the highest ranking US official to visit Armenia since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Sam was at Yerablur on Armenia's Independence and was detained by police as was every other civilian at the cemetery, many of whom were parents of fallen soldiers and were beaten and dragged off by the police in anticipation for PM...

Welcome to the final episode of the Bolivian Backpacker Series!! After 4 long months we have arrived at last to the end of the Bolivian journey. Thanks to all who have listened all the way through. I had no idea what I was doing when I started this project, but now with all 7 episodes behind us and the work done to get here the point of the project has revealed itself. My apologies for the endless slogging accounting detail!! I will now turn my attention to crafting this story into a book by creating a chapter by chapter structure with theme...

Welcome back to the Bolivian Backpacker Series episode 5!!! We finally made it to the Amazon Rainforest. Have you ever wondered what life in the rainforest would be like? If so, you came to the right place! This episode is part one of a two part series of my experience working in the Bolivian Amazon at ONCA, an animal rescue and rehabilitation organization whose mission is to care for animals confiscated from Bolivia's illegal animal trade and rehabilitate them back to wild status. Put on some rubber boots, pack a mosquito net and join me for the first two weeks of...
