#487 Promise of Guidance
Last Thursday at 1:30 PM

Promise of Guidance

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
- Psalm 32:8 ESV

God doesn’t leave you to figure life out on your own; He promises to guide you. In this meditation, reflect on Psalm 32:8, Proverbs 3:5–6, and John 16:13. If you’re facing uncertainty or hard decisions, let God’s Word realign your focus and remind you: He is leading you, step by step.

#486 Promise of Salvation
05/01/2025

Promise of Salvation

that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; - Romans 10:9 NASB

You don’t have to earn salvation; it’s already been given. In this episode, we reflect on the gift of grace and the certainty of God’s saving promise through Romans 10:9, Titus 3:5, and Isaiah 12:2. Come and rest in the truth: you are saved, secure, and deeply loved.

#485 Promise of Strength
04/24/2025

Promise of Strength

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. - Isaiah 40:29 NLT

When you feel weak, God doesn’t expect you to power through; He invites you to lean in. This guided meditation leads you through Scriptures like Isaiah 40:29 and 2 Corinthians 12:9 to remind you that His strength shows up in your weakness. You’re not meant to carry it all. Let Him be your strength today.

#484 Promise of Provision
04/17/2025

Promise of Provision

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NASB 1995)

You don’t have to strive to be provided for; God has already promised it. In this episode, we reflect on Philippians 4:19 and other Scriptures that remind you He knows your needs and delights in meeting them. Take a breath, release your worry, and rest in the truth: He will provide.

#483 Promise of Peace
04/10/2025

Promise of Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14:27)

Peace isn’t something you have to earn or manufacture, it’s a promise God has already given. In this episode, we reflect on how God keeps us in perfect peace when we fix our minds on Him. If anxiety has been knocking at your door, take a moment to pause, breathe, and anchor your thoughts in the One who...

This is week 10 of our 12 week series called “What is Your Word?” This week’s word, momentum, was sent in by Sierra. Momentum begins with small steps. Even the tiniest acts of faith count. It’s not about pushing harder. It’s about renewing your strength in God.

# 477 Simple Obedience
02/27/2025

Simple Obedience

This week’s word, Simple Obedience, was sent in by Robyn. Obedience is one of those words that can sound harsh and demanding, depending on your upbringing and life experiences. Yet, with God, simple obedience is much more than merely obeying.

# 476 Walk
02/20/2025

Walk

This week’s word, walk, was sent in by Rebekah. Walking by faith means trusting God beyond what we see from our perspective, obeying without fully understanding, and moving forward with confidence because His desires for us always exceed our own desires for ourselves. It is surrendering control, persevering through uncertainty, and relying on His strength, not our own.

# 475 Exchange
02/13/2025

Exchange

This week’s word, exchange, was sent in by Jennie. Normally, when we think of an exchange, it is the version described in most dictionaries; “an act of giving one thing and receiving another (especially of the same type or value) in return.” But it should come as no surprise, that in God’s kingdom, everything is turned upside down. What Jesus offers us in this great exchange is not something of equal value. He is taking our filthy rags, and giving us royal robes. Even better, he is taking our death sentence, and giving us freedom...

#474 Ready
02/06/2025

Ready

The word ready was sent in by Paige. Readiness isn’t passive—it’s an active, faith-filled response to God’s call. As faith filled believers, we are supposed to live our lives in a perpetual state of readiness. Ready for what God has in the present moment; what he is speaking and how he wants to release his kingdom on Earth through you. Lastly, we are to be like the five wise virgins who kept their lamps trimmed and filled with oil, ready for when the bridegroom returns.

# 472 Generosity
01/23/2025

Generosity

I tend to pay attention when things repeat themselves. Perhaps it is coincidence, or perhaps it is God trying to get my attention. This week’s word was sent in by two different people, Tamika and Becky, and the word is generosity. Let’s explore together the refreshing that can come from generosity this week.

#471 Be Still
01/16/2025

Be Still

This word is from a dear friend who I have the privilege of personal training. It is a joy to be able to work together with her on her physical body, talking about spiritual things at the same time. She had mentioned her word for this year is "be still"; allowing her heart to be still, especially in the areas we cannot control. Trusting God with our hearts, and our lives.

#470 Joy
01/09/2025

Joy

This is not manufactured happiness, instead this is the joy that comes from abiding in Christ. It is only in the presence of God we find fulness of joy. Not only are we filled with His joy, He himself is filled with joy over us! When Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before him, within that joy was your face. He loves you and rejoices over you with gladness!

#469 Gentleness
01/02/2025

Gentleness

Gentleness or meekness is the opposite of self-assertiveness and self-interest. It stems from trust in God's goodness and control over the situation. The gentle person is not occupied with self at all. This is a work of the Holy Spirit, not of the human will. Not just towards others but also towards myself.

#468 Hâlal
12/26/2024

Hâlal

The word halal is probably one of my favourite words for praise. It means to boast, celebrate, rave, shine, or be clamorously foolish! God has created us to live fully alive and to have his abundant life flowing through us. The meaning of the word halal reflects this. As we have seen through each of the words for praise, this one too points to praise having a physical expression.

#467 Zâmar
12/19/2024

Zâmar

Welcome to week 8 of our series on Worship.

There is a song within you that no one else can sing as an offering of praise to the Lord. Zâmar means to make music, to celebrate in song, to pluck the strings of a musical instrument. We are called to praise with song and with music. This is a powerful expression of praise, and it is mentioned often in scripture.

#466 Bârak
12/12/2024

Bârak

Bârak means to kneel, salute, or thank. To Bârak is to come and bless God with an act of adoration; the idea being to bow down before Him. This physical position is a very powerful one. To bow before God reminds me that He is God and I am not. He is the one who created me, originally from the dirt. It is an honor and a privilege to Bârak in the presence of my creator.

#465 Tehillâh
12/05/2024

Tehillâh

Tehillâh means to sing a song of praise, a new song, or a spontaneous song. A biblical way to worship God is through song. Not a song someone else has written for you to sing; an original song that comes from your heart. Psalm 22:3 tells us this is the only kind of praise that God inhabits! When we sing to him our song, He is present to us.

#464 Tôwdâh
11/28/2024

Tôwdâh

Tôwdâh means to make a sacrifice of praise, or a sacrifice of thanksgiving. Similar to Yadah, it also means to extend your hands. In the Psalms it appears in a way of thanking God for things you have not yet received, as well as things you have. It is a confession of God’s goodness, offering Him thanks.

#463 Shâbach
11/21/2024

Shâbach

This is our second week exploring the seven Hebrew words for paise in the Old Testament. Last week we looked at the idea of raising our hands in praise to God. This week we're meditating on the word Shâbach, which means to raise our voices; to shout praises to God.

There is something to be said about allowing ourselves to enter into the physical expression of praise that God is inviting us into. It is powerful. If we are to worship God with all of our heart, mind, soul and str...

#462 Yâdâh
11/14/2024

Yâdâh

In the Hebrew there are seven different words that are translated to the word “praise” in English. We are taking the next 7 weeks to meditate on each one of these different words. Understanding each of these will help expand our ability to praise God, entering into His presence; the place where we worship Him.

The first word we are looking at is Yâdâh. It means to extend your hands, throw a stone, or shoot an arrow. The shooting out, or lifting of the hands, especially in worship. It also mean...

#461 A Life of Worship
11/07/2024

A Life of Worship

Worship is so much more than singing songs on Sunday. Worship is our response to being in the presence of God, seeing Him for who He truly is, receiving His love and giving our love ion return.

This episode starts our new series on Worship; coming in to the awe of how great God is. What does it look like to worship the Lord with gladness? To enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.

Welcome! We’re Glad You’re Here.

These weekly, Bible-based meditation podcasts, give you the skills to carve out space, experience Peace, and grow your relationship with God. Praying this episode richly blesses you.

Bible Verses and Notes

Jesus died on the cross so that we can walk in His love and acceptance. When the love of God comes in, shame has to go!

As I call upon you, let my shame and disgrace be replaced by your favor once again. But let shame and disgrace fall instead upon the wicked— those...

God's Smiling
#455
09/26/2024

God’s face is a metaphor for his living presence. May His smile bless us with His love, mercy, grace and salvation.

I’m desperate, Lord! I throw myself upon you, for you alone are my God! My life, my every moment, my destiny—it’s all in your hands. So I know you can deliver me from those who persecute me relentlessly. Smile on me, your servant. Let your undying love and glorious grace save me from all this gloom.
- Psalms 31:14-16 TPT

The Lord make his face shine upon you

Meet Me in Anguish
#454
09/19/2024

There will be hard things in your life. Jesus promised there would be. Who do we turn to when we have no more strength to face life’s challenges?

O Lord, help me again! Keep showing me such mercy. For I am in anguish, always in tears, and I’m worn out with weeping. I’m becoming old because of grief; my health is broken. I’m exhausted! My life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing and sadness. Because of all these troubles, I have no more strength. My inner being is so weak and frail. M...

Bring Me to Freedom
#453
09/12/2024

Welcome to week 4 of our meditation through Psalm 31

God is drawing you into a beautiful place of freedom. We don’t have to suffer any longer from the yoke of slavery. We have been set free!

In mercy you have seen my troubles, and you have cared for me; even during this crisis in my soul I will be radiant with joy, filled with praise for your love and mercy. You have kept me from being conquered by my enemy; you broke open the way to bring me to freedom, into a beautiful, broad place.

God of Faithfulness
#452
09/05/2024

No matter our level of faith in Him, God remains perfectly faithful.

Into your hands I now entrust my spirit.
O Lord, the God of faithfulness,
you have rescued and redeemed me.
I despise these deceptive illusions,
all this pretense and nonsense,
for I worship only you.

- Psalm 31:5-6 TPT

It is a trustworthy statement:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us;

My Rock of Strength
#451
08/29/2024

The same God who delivered the Israelites from the Egyptians, is the same God who delivers you from trouble. Where does God wants to be your rock, your deliverer?

For you are my high fortress, where I’m kept safe.
You are to me a stronghold of salvation.
When you deliver me out of this peril,
it will bring glory to your name.
As you guide me forth I’ll be kept safe
from the hidden snares of the enemy—
the secret traps that lie before me—
for you have become m...

Be My Hiding Place
#450
08/22/2024

Welcome to the first episode of our series on Psalm 31. It’s been a few years since we’ve meditated on an individual Psalm, and it feels good to be back here doing so. Over the next several weeks we will focus on a few verses at a time. Enjoy!

I trust you, Lord, to be my hiding place. Don’t let me down. Don’t let my enemies bring me to shame. Come and rescue me, for you are the only God who always does what is right. Rescue me quickly when I cry out to you. At...

Deliver Us
#449
08/15/2024

God does not lead us into temptation, He delivers us from evil. Better than any earthly father, His desires for us are always good beyond all imagination.

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
- Psalms 18:2 NASB

I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.
- Psalms 34:4 NASB 1995

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
- Psal...

As We Forgive
#448
08/08/2024

Peter asked Jesus if he was expected to forgive someone up to seven times. How did Jesus reply? Not just seven, “but up to seventy times seven.”

Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
- Matthew 18:21-22. NASB 1995

For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgiv...
