At age 16 Erin was Commonwealth Youth Champion and an age group record holder. However just 14 months later she was left feeling like a complete and utter failure, and as if she had let down every last person who had ever supported her. Because of those feelings, she left the sport.

ISL 2021 Preview!!

In this episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we will be giving you our preview of the ISL 2021 regular season that involves the 10 returning teams from last year. The 10 clubs in the International Swimming League 2021 are: Aqua Centurions, Cali Condors, DC Trident, Energy Standard, LA Current, London Roar, NY Breakers, Team Iron, Tokyo Frog Kings, and Toronto Titans.  

The ISL is an annual professional swimming league, established in 2019. It features a team-based competition format with fast-paced race sessions which are swam in short course meters (25m).

Jacob's career-best times are routinely compared with the likes of Kyle Chalmers and Caeleb Dressel! He's the fastest 14-year-old ever in the 100m Freestyle with a time of 50.3 and the second-fastest 16-year-old with a personal best of 48.55.

When To Start Swimming

With swimming pools around the country opening back up, over 18's now allowed to return their club training, and swimming lessons starting again; for this week's episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast we talk through the stages you can get involved in swimming and wanted to explain that it's never too late to start swimming.  

It really can be at any stage of your life. For example: having swim lessons as a child in the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme, having swimming lessons for beginners, or having adult swimming lessons.
