I'm so glad that a film still from Tumblr over 10 years ago brought me to this film. What sprouted as a possible fashion editorial, ended up being one of the most original and thought provoking films I've seen in quite a while.

Daisies from 1966 is a wild ride of surrealism, freedom, and feminism by Vera Chytilová. I can see how so many film makers are inspired by this experimental take on philosophy and existence through pleasure and all encompassing rebellion.

Basically we're getting into the meat of the second week at the villa. Proving yet again that the series 5 girls remain elite in Love Island history.

It's almost time for the Winter Olympics and what better way than to use it as a theme for the next 90s movie episode. Since Charles is an Olympic expert you're in for a real treat with this one. While the movie itself is kinda of part Lifetime movie part Melrose Place episode, it really doesn't stray too far from the actual dynamics in pairs skating.

It's time (yet again) for me to put all my Love Island knowledge to use and the start of a new season of All Stars. At first I thought it was lame but then I thought this is really the Super Bowl for the fans. Since we know the lore of the past Islanders, it only can get messier.  

I'm getting into Scott being this seasons 'bone carrier', the boys being whack, and Whitney (my girl) yet again being bigger than the program.

It's the first *new episode of 2026. Yes, I know we're well past the New Year salutations but alas. This was the perfect type of film to start off the year and a new mood. The Daytrippers have been on my list for a while and it really scratched that itch when it comes to a quirky 90s comedy. 

I talk about the realistic and aspirational fashion of Parker posey, the many quotes and hijinks that ensue on this caper of madness, and the many roadblocks during the behind the scenes of this film.

I've reached this level in life where I haven't seen (in its totality) The Bodyguard. This was something I knew I wanted to do for a long time. This film is one that has always stuck with me. From the first time I saw it in the cinema, to the many years I owned it on DVD when I lived on the West Coast. It has been about 10 years since I've seen it and Mikey wanted to talk about it on the pod for June.

For years I was always freaked out when I saw the cover for the film, Leprechaun. I had it in my head that it was some weird twisted horrific tale and I had been saving it for the pod for this very moment. Needless to say I was so wrong and this movie was hilarious and I can't wait to see more of the series.

I'm back! Yes, it's been a while and there is no more perfect film to return back to my routine than Paris, Texas from 1984.

This is my first ever watch and it would be an understatement to say that it's been a long time since cinema has moved me the way this did. I always have seen stills and thought it was from a fashion shoot or a photo spread and to see these images in motion. It had me thinking of my own relationship...

We're starting off October right with not really a spooky one but a classic sub genere of horror, creature features. Charles picked this one and he gives his rundown on reasons for his choice and I come into this not knowing anything but leaving with a strong appreciation for Kevin Bacon in cowboy attire.

If you can believe it I've gone my whole life without seeing the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie. This is yet another one to check off on the list of nostalgia watches. I remember watching the tv series in the first season but boy did this world really expand! This has to be one of the most visually stunning films I have seen in the past six months. I saw it in the cinema for New Years Day and it basically set the tone for my relationship with film in 2024.
