The Problem with Parenting
#57
04/16/2024

Here's the problem with parenting: you never know how badly you've messed up until it's too late. We have great kids, but we can only say "for now." We aren't seeing any red flags, "for now". We've talked to so many people who had teenagers on one trajectory in the early years, only to see it change dramatically. So the verdict is still out when you have seven kids between us. Nat is hoping for one rebel; Cat wants nothing to do with that.

Online Is A Gross Place
#53
04/10/2024

There's a huge controversy online involving a mom and one of her children. The entire account is focused on her daughter. Many people are saying, 'Save the daughter.' But when you see who is commenting, it's disturbing. Where is the line between parents making money off of their children? And then there's Reddit. Everything is there. Everyone is anonymous. There is so much abuse and negativity. There is no censor. You can find anything. It's just gone public, which is ironic for the users who started there because they all claim to hate social media!

We Got Hacked
#52
04/09/2024

We got hacked in the craziest way. They stole our whole Facebook identity. They stole our audience, and then they hijacked our page. So sneaky. They created a subpage which was just sh*tty, junky news, with gross photos. We had a phone call with them, their emails were all so detailed and professional. No passwords were given and then oops, it's gone. And you can see it happening but you can't do anything about it. It was a week, but we got it back! Facebook is our original platform, and it feels good to have you all back!<...

It's no secret that there's a history of sexism, misogyny and hypermasculinity in sport, particularly in elite men's hockey. In elite sport, masculinity is often defined by glorifying toughness, promoting aggression, encouraging 'bro culture', and upholding the locker room 'code'. But what does this mean for parents raising...
