Happy Mother’s Day! 

Temperatures will run well below average for most of the week ahead, and while there’s finally some improvement in the wind department, it’s definitely not going to feel like mid-May for several more days. We’re looking at mainly dry conditions overall with just ONE meaningful rain chance in the week ahead. We’ll also update our latest drought status, talk about why lawns across Southern New England are suddenly growing like crazy, and why now is definitely NOT the week to skip mowing the grass.

Temperatures are set to run well below average for late April, and yeah… it’s going to feel like it too. But there’s a flip side, we finally start drying things out, as a much quieter, drier pattern begins to take hold across southern New England.


We’re also watching the subtle seasonal shift, daylight is still increasing, but the big gains are now behind us. We’re adding minutes, just not at that rapid March pace anymore… still counts though.
