Lots to cover as always, starting with an update on the football staff before previewing the men's basketball game Wednesday at Rice - and how the Bulls can clinch the regular-season title THIS week. Baseball drops to 7-2 with 4-3 loss at Bethune plus a conference check-in with both baseball and softball. Beach Volleyball pairing earns first conference top honors (in C-USA, Darek explains). Women's hoops faces likely must-win for 3rd seed after what took place in Denton Tuesday. And women's golf finishes 52-over par - which was really good considering! Indoor track and field set for conference meet...

The Bulls began their first spring in New Orleans and left town wtih a 3-1 record that included a defeat of the event host, No. 20 Tulane along with a narrow defeat to 12th-ranked LSU.

Another hour-plus Monday show as once again the Bulls just gave us, so much to give you! Records fall on both diamonds, with baseball plating a school-mark 29 runs Saturday, then winning 4-3 with a ninth-inning rally for a series sweep and 7-1 start. Softball's Alex Wilkes leads the Bulls to a 10-game winning streak of their own, homering in a school-record four straight games. Beach volleyball finishes off an incredible first weekend, lacrosse has its best win of the year, tennis swings hard vs. No. 28 Clemson, and finally a full highlight reel of a satisfying 20-point win for women's...

More days, more wins for our USF programs but Friday was a bit different - a program first! Beach volleyball started off fantastically in New Orleans. Then Darek details softball's winning streak hitting 8, baseball's hitting 5 and as always, cover all the hoops action with the men taking care of business before a great YC crowd vs. Memphis Thursday and women looking to find revenge vs. FAU Saturday. (Note: the show ends with a full 10-minute highlight reel of that one, starts at the 20:20 mark).

Guests this week are Isaiah Jones (16-minute mark), Director of Player Personnel Martin Stockwell (31:30) and then Coach returns for a Q&A session from fans in the audience (42:30). In this hour-plus version of the program, the first half hour is devoted to an incredible win for men's basketball at FAU overcoming a determined opponent, and humidity, to prevail in OT taking a two-game lead in the conference. Sunday was extremely dramatic back home with baseball rallying from down 7-2 to win the game and series vs. Illinois, softball - after a 4-run bottom of the 7th to win vs. BC Saturday - walking it off again vs. DePaul. There was a great showing for men's golf in Gainesville, two tennis victories, two track & field program records set...

The first 45 minutes are devoted to big-time wins for both basketball squads, the men taking first place for themselves completing a season sweep of Tulsa, and the women fulfilling their most complete show of the conference slate thus far. Then, the rest of a busy weekend leading with lacrosse putting up 20 goals, softball turning things around with a dramatic Saturday, women's tennis coming SO close to win Number 1, and track and field posting great results in Chicago.

A full 45 minutes, the first 20 or so from a wild one at the Yuengling Center Wednesday that saw the Bulls overcome a hot start from UTSA, paced by an incredible second half especially from a freshman. Earlier, the women led by 13 but could not hold on at ECU - Darek was there for the call and highlights the critical moments. Then some comments made by Head Football Coach Brian Hartline, and finally - softball begins and we already have our first schedule change due to weather!

Track and Field in two places, we give you a recap - and oh yeah, some comments on THAT hockey game at Raymond James with a special USF tie during the second intermission. Darek also gives you a full scoreboard/conference standings check for both basketball squads, along with an update on the men's tennis trip to California where they're taking on two (more) ranked teams. Show ends with the ending of a close defeat, along with some staggering numbers on just how narrow the margins have been in conference play.

Pretty full show for you on a Monday! Full highlights of the men's basketball squad's slimy win vs. FAU, along with Coach Hodgson's thoughts. The women started slow before nearly pulling off an amazing win in Boca. We'll check the conference standings and NET rankings for both squads. Also, men's tennis splits a pair in the heralded ITA kickoff event while the women's time compiled dozens of victories in the Tampa Cup. Finally, women's golf gets its spring off to a strong start.

Big man Daimion Collins had his USF high in minutes played, points (14) while blocking 5 shots and Joseph Pinion carried the 3-point load with five makes as the Bulls avenged a 2-OT loss to the Blazers. Next, a matchup with rival, and first-place, Florida Atlantic. Speaking of FAU, Darek will be in Boca this weekend for the women's matchup with the Owls - they came up short against another set of Owls in Philly Tuesday despite some milestones being hit by a pair of post players.<...

On this week's show the Head Coach recaps a wild overtime loss vs. Wichita and what the Bulls have worked on since, heading into big back-to-back games at UAB Thursday, and home against first-place FAU Sunday afternoon. In Segment 2 (20-minute mark) get to know sharpshooter Wes Enis, who has TWO games with a USF record 10 made 3-pointers this season. Finally, one of several assistant coaches who came to Tampa from Arkansas State with Hodgson, Derek Rongstad (starts at 32:30 mark).

A weekend recap includes, as usual, full highlights from the basketball action - it was a career high 10 assists for Edyn Battle and a Bulls-high 24 points for Katie Davidson as the women walloped Wichita. The men almost it a Shocker sweep but, despite coming from down 30-15 to lead by as many as 13, the Bulls lost in overtime.

And both indoor track & field, and men's and women's tennis, saw their seasons get started.

Our first live show! Coach Bryan Hodgson joined Jim Lighthall to discuss the last few weeks of the season, with a 3-game winning streak in league play that included a big road result at Tulsa to bump the Bulls to best-ever NET ranking of 58.

The player guest is big man Izaiyah Nelson (21:40 mark), followed by assistant coach Jamie Quarles (31:20), and Coach Hodgson re-joines for the closing segment (41:00).
