Darek caught up with Bulls senior Regina Plascencia, who in her fourth year (the first three at Georgia Southern) claimed her first individual championship in college - as the Bulls won their first team title in Coach Newell's tenure in Tampa. A truly special performance, and record setting for a 54-hole score as the Bulls went 26 under par.

After their practice in Clearwater Beach Wednesday, Darek chatted with defender Morgan Anderson (on right in photo) and blocker Sasha Pasloski about the tremendous season so far as USF is 12-4, and the anticipation of playing a first-ever home match. Note that there will be a beach volleyball stadium ready on campus for the 2027 season but for this inaugural year the Bulls will play twice in Clearwater. This weekend's action begins Friday at 9:45 a.m. against Sam Houston State, with two matches both Friday and Saturday as the Bulls look to extend an 8-match win streak.

Darek caught up Tuesday with a trio of defenders and midfielders, the positions that were instrumental in securing a massive 9-7 victory vs. conference favorite JMU Saturday. Zimmerman and Bustamante both hail from Long Island, with Zimmerman in her third year as a Bull after starting off at Colorado while Bustamante is in his first season at USF. Natoli, an every-game starter on D, was originally recruited by Head Coach Mindy McCord to Jacksonville but never played there, choosing to follow McCord after she was named the Bulls' leader.
Jackson Spybey with Darek to Discuss His School Record-Tying 63, Men's Golf Team Emerging
Spybey, a former Junior College All-American from Alabama, shot 2-over par rounds to start off at the Linger Longer Invitational in Georgia before going off with a 9-under 63 Sunday, His score along with Wilhelm Ryding's -5 shot the Bulls from 9th to a T4 finish as the Bulls round into shape - and head closer to top-40 in the country - despite losing two-time conference player of the year Jake Peacock and several other veterans.

Senay threw 8 2/3 innings Saturday in a 2-0 shutout of Rice, and is 4-0 with an incredible 0.68 ERA. The freshman from Orlando's East River High School sat down with Darek after practice Monday afternoon. The Bulls are 20-4, nationally ranked and heading to FGCU for their next action Tuesday evening.
