Israel just began the next phase of the war 
Today we're looking into the expansion of Israeli ground operations into Gaza City.  We have a few official statements from the IDF outlining the course of Gideon's Chariots II and how it stands so far.  Additionally, US Senator Van Hollen just released a video calling the Israeli actions in Gaza an ethnic cleansing, which I believe makes him the senior-most US official to publicly push back on Netanyahu to that degree.

Major buildup of US forces in the Caribbean continues
The US continues to add significant military resources to the counter-narcotics operation in the Caribbean with the addition of 10 F-35B stealth fighters.  This comes as Venezuela threatens their neighbors to not work with the United States and US officials weigh the benefits of regime change.

They're back to the tactic that has worked before
Russian soldiers appear to be back in the pipelines in eastern Ukraine working to avoid drone strikes as they approach the front.  All of the reporting right now is coming from Ukrainian channels so we'll watch as this situation develops in the coming days.  Bigger picture, it looks like NATO is failing the Russian test of a few days ago after firing 19 drones into Polish airspace.  The lack of unity, lack of US statements and action is concerning and no doubt noticed by Putin.

Someone here is lying
Today we're looking at new information coming out of the ongoing US-Venezuela tensions.  Venezuela has accused the US of killing 11 civilians in the strike last week while the DOW maintains they knew everyone on board and all were members of a terror organization.  Amidst this, US Senator Reed stated that he still hasn't seen intel confirming who was aboard the ship we hit.

This one is probably going to have some fallout
Earlier today Israel struck a building in Qatar that they said housed a number of Hamas senior officials.  While we don't have confirmation quite yet, there are conflicting claims suggesting that some Hamas members were killed but the leaders and at least one report that a Qatari soldier may have been killed as well.  We look at the official responses from Israel, Qatar and the United States and what to watch for going forward.

Operation Gideon's Chariots II is underway
Israel has begun the next phase of offensive operations in Gaza with a stated goal of eliminating Hamas and returning the 48 hostages that remain in their captivity.  As movement gets underway, we're seeing the IDF target and destroy high rise buildings in Gaza City that they say are being utilized by Hamas to observe IDF movement, and as sniper or ATGM firing points.

Looks like they're setting the stage for something
Ukraine continues their targeting of Russian helicopters and air defense assets in Crimea with a few new clips being released by the Ukrainian GUR in recent days.  Russian analysts believe this is Ukraine setting the conditions for a near term attack in western Crimea, likely with some sort of long range stand-off munition.  We also look at some battlefield updates and a pessismistic assesment from Russian nationalist Igor Girkin.

Today we're looking at the continuation of tensions between the United States and Venezuela as US warships head south.  Right now the official line from the US government is that this is a counter-drug operation but it's a lot of firepower descending on Caracas.  In turn, we're seeing some in Venezuela worry there's an aspect of regime change and/or direct military action in the cards.

I don't think we have a coherent Ukraine policy
Today we're looking into some updates out of the war in Ukraine and ongoing efforts to bring about a peace deal with Russia.  A new Atlantic article suggests the US backtracked on an agreement with our European allies before meeting with Putin in Alaska where our entire approach seems to have shifted.  In turn, French President Macron suggests that Trump is being played by Putin.  We also look at some new weapons set to be sent to Ukraine and the possible first use of the Ukrainian 'Flamingo' cruise missile.

Israel just carried out Operation Drop of Luck where they eliminated a number of senior Houthi officials in one strike in Sa'ana, Yemen.  In a first, the Houthis are acknowledging the death of these officials as they pledge revenge against Israel.  Defense Minister Katz added that this is just the beginning and talked about mirroring their efforts against Tehran but with the Houthis.  We also saw Israel target Abu Obeida, the head spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades.  Following this recording, the IDF issued a statement confirming that Obaida was eliminated.

Standard counter-drug move or setting the stage for regime change? 
Today we're looking into some updates around the US-Venezuela standoff.  We have multiple outlets covering this and presenting it as everything from a routine counter-drug operation, to a show of force, to a regime change in disguise.  Venezuela for their part continues to prepare for the possibility of US military force and the American vessels should be arriving off their coast shortly.

Drone innovation is happening by the day

Drones, soldiers and ships are being moved to counter the US Navy

Today we're looking at the continuation of issues between the US and Venezuela.  The US Navy has a large element moving south with a focus of interdicting drugs being trafficked to the United States while Venezuelan President Maduro fears that regime change is the real motive.  In response, Venezuela has begun mobilizing their population to take volunteers to defend the country and deployed military assets to the north and the coastline.

Peace could be a problem for this group

Today we're looking into some underappreciated challenges around a possible peace deal, the fact that so many in poor Russian regions are financially benefiting from this war.  The Telegraph detailed the extent that some of these communities are seeing a boost in their economic status that would go away immediately if the war stopped.  We also look at some talks of peace deals and a graphic story of a Ukrainian prisoner brutally mistreated in Russian captivity.

This is a powerful message about why Ukraine fights

Today we're looking into some battlefield updates as Ukraine celebrates it's Independence Day.  The updates include a recent raid by the Russian Volunteer Corps that resulted in Russian POWs branded with their service number, which is new.  The US apparently is restricting the Ukrainian's ability to strike inside of Russia but will be selling a new type of long range munition, the ERAM, set to arrive in the next six weeks.
