Yesterday Was Easy
This show is for men. This is not for yamomanem, nor your wife, nor you baby girl. Yesterday was yesterday. Today is today. Yesterday was easy. Today is not. So, firm up your resoluteness. Gird up your loins. No whining allowed. Stop complaining. Effeminacy will not be tolerated. Put your purse down. Pick up a shovel and start digging. Rub some dirt on your wounds and get to work.
Be Intentional
In this sixteenth episode, Pastor Luke discusses intentionality. God is a god of purpose, and since we were created in his image, so should we be purposeful. Christian men must purpose to be hard workers. They must purpose to be good stewards of the bodies God has given us. They must purpose to be faithful husbands and fathers. And the only way to accomplish this is by not forsaking the work of hands. Be intentional in all that you do. Put your hands to the plow and get to work. Be intentional. Yesterday was easy!
Integrity
In this fifteenth episode, Pastor Luke discusses having integrity from two different perspectives. One, as defined by Scripture, and two as defined by his dear friend, soon to be retired Navy SEAL, Captain Brad Geary. Holistically walk in integrity. Let your wife see it. Let your children see it. Let the public see it. And most importantly, let your Creator who judges righteously see it! Have integrity. Yesterday was easy!
Freedom
In this fourteenth episode, Pastor Luke talks about his Great Uncle Charles Krieger, a POW during WWII, and discusses freedom from a biblical perspective. True freedom is rooted only in Christ. Plant your seed there. Put to death weakness and timidity. Put on the freedom of Christ and let that freedom ring! Freedom costs something. Yesterday was easy!
Courage Like David
In this thirteenth episode, Pastor Luke looks at the courage David had to slay the giant Goliath, and discusses how Christian men can have that same courage to slay giants in their own lives. Far too many Christian men are cowards and lack the testicular fortitude to confront our enemies in the name of the Lord of Hosts. Like the men of Israel, why are we fleeing from the fight? A small Hebrew shepherd boy understood this, and so should we. Don’t run from the fight, but have courage like David!
Busybody
In this twelfth episode, Pastor Luke discusses a biblical view of idleness and the sins associated with it. Do you want to put to death idleness? Be industrious! Be found putting to death your temptations, not allowing them to bury you. Be busy at work, not a busybody!
Stay On Mission
In this eleventh episode, Pastor Luke discusses the importance of staying on mission in all areas of life. Staying on mission requires selfless sacrifice. It requires ignoring distractions. It requires overcoming fear and anxiety. It requires defeating temptations. It requires despising shame. It requires putting to death idolatry. It requires burying the excuses. Stay on mission!
I Shall Not Be Moved
In this tenth episode, Pastor Luke introduces the official hymn for Yesterday Was Easy, “I Shall Not Be Moved.” As the saying goes: “Never give up, never give in!” And just like the tree planted by the water, when we are rooted in Christ, we should never move, and neither shall we be moved. Do not be moved!
Be A Grinder
In this ninth episode of Yesterday Was Easy, Pastor Luke looks to the life of Chief Petty Officer Adam Brown to define what it means to be a “grinder.” If you want to not only be sharp but also stay sharp, you have to be willing to grind. Be a Grinder!
Don’t Be Soft
In this eighth episode of Yesterday Was Easy, Pastor Luke addresses the pandemic of soft men in the Church. Our nation was once a strong nation because it bred strong men. If you desire this once again, it starts with you and it starts with me. Its starts in our homes by raising up our boys in the admonition of the Lord, teaching them to be honorable men of valor. Don’t Be Soft!
Don't Be A Victim
In this seventh episode of Yesterday Was Easy, Pastor Luke addresses the victimhood mentality that is a growing cancer in the Church. This disease needs to be removed as quickly as possible. As Christian men we should not even carry a victim card. If you do, burn it. Never a victim. Forever a victor.
