The Dallas Mavericks defense got off to a horrific start in the preseason finale against the LA Lakers. But it’s not about how you start, it’s how you finish. The unit came alive in the second half and completely throttled the shorthanded Lakers, outscoring LA 68-28 in the second half en route to a 121-94 win.
