Welcome to the podcast. I’m Rob Watson, an ex-pro marathoner with a 2:13:29 personal best (pre-super shoes), 11th place finisher at the 2013 Boston Marathon, and 20th at the World Championships in Moscow that same year. Nowadays, I’m a coach with Mile2Marathon and generally just a big running nerd.On this show, we dive into all things running, with the occasional detour into cycling and triathlons. It’s a lighthearted, fun take on the sport we love, so sit back, relax, and let’s talk running.

This week Justin Kent joins me to talk all about his amazing 2:09:29 Marathon performance at the McKirdy Micro Marathon. We take a deep dive to talk about training and racing while trying to life a somewhat balanced life.

This week we recap the First 1/2, Half Marathon which took place here in Vancouver over the weekend. It was a hot race on a chilly day and Shanimal came home w/ a shiny new PB! We discuss her race and how it all played out both mentally and physically, along with general race chatter and a random tangent or two. It was a good day. I hope you enjoy!

It is First 1/2, 1/2 marathon race week here in Vancouver and who better to talk about the race then 4 x champion Dylan Wykes? Dylan is a 2012 Olympic Marathoner w/ a 2:10:47 PB. He is also the co-founder of M2M, the father of two, husband to one and he possesses an abundance of knowledge on all things running.
