Patrick J. McLain, Major, United States Marine Corps, Retired
Today Joe speaks with Retired United States Marine Corps Major Patrick J. McLain. Patrick began his military career as a Communications Officer in our United States Marine Corps. During the Cold War he deployed to Norway with his platoon of Marines, laying communications lines in the Northern Hemisphere darkness as well as enjoying spectacular views of the Aurora Borealis. He then transitioned to law school and served the rest of his military career with the Judge Advocate General. Finally we learn about his post-military career where he now has his own law practice.

Michael's story begins with his birth in 1935 in Yugoslavia in what is today Serbia. His town was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II. Following the war, Russian soldiers rounded up his family and other families in his town and placed them in starvation camps. Del Connell, former United States Navy Petty Officer Second Class
Del Connell served during World War II as a Supply Clerk. His ship was among those who picked up survivors of the Bataan Death March. World War II Veteran, Retired US Army Corporal, Harry Demenza
Corporal Demenza grew up in Tampa, Florida. He enlisted in the US Army and went through training to be in the Infantry. A unique pre-service course on drafting however, changed how he would serve. As a result, he found himself in Japan as the war came to a close and became part of the effort to redistribute assets deployed on behalf of the US military to Japan. Offered the opportunity to obtain a commission and turn in his Corporal stripes to become an officer, Harry chose a path he long desired from his days growing up.
