The Saints finally gave the Who Dat Nation something to celebrate, pulling off a 34-27 victory over the Giants. But, was this a turning point in the season, or just another Sunday where the future of this team remains uncertain?

Nick and Corey fly solo on this week's episode of Saintsaholics Anonymous.

Another week, another disappointing Saints performance. But the problems in New Orleans are bigger than just the ones on the field. This week, we're turning our attention to the top, questioning the leadership of Mickey Loomis and Gayle Benson, the organization's lack of accountability, and whether meaningful change is possible without a shakeup at the highest levels.

Much to unpack in this one - or - about as much as three guys on a Saints podcast can "unpack" during the official doldrums of the NFL preseason. In this one we ended up doing a "wellness check" of sorts to determine how "concerned" we are about the following: 1) the blowout loss in L.A. this past Saturday; 2) injuries piling up everywhere since the start of training camp, and 3) our backup QB situation - do we "really" have one? and how much that matters this season?

Some of these "concerns" (or lack thereof) we generally agree...

We had hoped not to have to lead with the Jordan Tyson injury issue, but about five minutes before we sat down to record, we got the news of Tyson's injury causing him to miss TWO MONTHS versus what was previously unknown and hoped to be much more minor. Naive of us to think we could simply lead with a recap of our thoughts on the Saints first live game action of the 2026 season. While we do of course get into what we saw and took from the preseason matchup vs. the Jags, we first lead with the Tyson...

The three of us were fortunate enough to be in Canton, OH to see OUR GOAT, Andrew Christopher Brees, get enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At times, getting there seemed more like a pilgrimage instead of a "trip" BUT, Saturday's events made it all worth it. Truly an unforgettable experience and a buvket list item checked, SO we do our best to give you our "boots on the ground" perspective and recount it all to get you as vicariously close to it as possible.

Also, CBS Sportsline recently released a list of the NFL's...

And so it begins…With multiple training camp practices in the books, including the first one with full pads, the Saints 2026 campaign is officially off and running! LFG! In this one, we get into the big topics, i.e. the Olave contract and Bresee injury, but we also get into some of the other more detailed updates talked about through camp so far. We also go “off-topic” and get into what we think really matters in terms of what to look for out of training camp practices, and this time of year as a whole. What information and reports “really”...

In this part 2 of our whole team Gameshow, we put the Saints Defense to the test. See previous ep’s description for exact parameters. But, seeing how our defense was basically a top 10 unit in most respects last year, they should fare better with the “gameshow treatment” than the offense…right? A couple of surprises may be in store, but we give an honest assessment either way. TUNE IN to see how our rankings shook out. WHO DAT?!

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder…so now that our summer hiatus is over, we’re back behind the mics, in mid-season form, and beginning our pre-training camp ramp up with one of our patented favorites: THE GAMESHOW.

Unlike previous installations in the series that address a specific player, we’re taking on entire sides of the ball for the Saints - starting with the offense. This has consistently been a tried and true method of seeing where a player stacks up, so how will the offense fare vs the rest of the league. Some key si...

One of our “favorite” times of year, the annual NFL Schedule release. How do we think the saints were treated in the lineup of games for 2026? We debate whether we think it’s favorable or whether we think we got screwed in certain spots (per usual). Do we think the timing of the games affects the win/loss total we had based on opponents alone? Also, we talk about the news coming out of rookie minicamp. Anything that stood out or still too early to get any real info on the newest Saints. Fun episode with this one. TUNE IN! WH...

Only time and results on the field will tell, but did the Kellen Moore era Saints put together ANOTHER solid draft class?? We debate our feelings on that. Definitely has that "feel" to it, especially taking into account the veteran edge added through the draft-day trade, but did we get a little too "eager" drafting some of our guys where we did? Biggest question will remain: Did we make the right call with Jordyn Tyson at No. 8 given his injury past and other stand-out prospects still on the board, especially the widely popular Caleb Downs?? PLUS, much to Corey's...

Tired of listening to all those "insiders" tell you what "they know" or "are hearing" about who's picking who? Yeah, us too. "Lying Season" is in full swing. No one knows anything. So, do yourself a favor. Listen to US - not them - because we will readily tell you we have ZERO inside info on who's going where. BUT we have the TAKES that will keep you coming back for more, arguments with heat that will keep the power running, and very "sound" opinions that will no doubt age like fine wine - ALL on the players in...

It's every Saintsaholic's "most wonderful time" of the offseason - MOCK DRAFT SZN! Are there more mock drafts floating around this time of year than a lifetime supply of Dennis Allen's hair dye or Derek Carr's eyelliner? Sure. BUT, are their any like ours??? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Either way, we'd be remiss not to toss our hat into the ring of your (now daily) fill of mock drafts.

The Saints signing of Travis E'tienne reminded us of the wealth of quality NFL players, both past and present, from our home state of Louisiana. It also got us thinking how many stars and NFL Hall of Famers, including many from New Orleans, reached their heights for other teams.

This begged the question: What players from Louisiana could have most helped the Saints if they had played for us instead of elsewhere?

We each picked one offensive and one defensive player from the past who we thought answered this question - with ONE CAVEAT...

“Slow” week since our last ep in Saints free agency, but we go a little further in depth into last week’s signings and who/what positions we see as top needs remaining. Also, of course we hit a VERY worthwhile tangent and talk new JERSEY NUMBERS with all the signings/departures plus incoming draft picks (whoever it may be). Don’t get it twisted: Jersey numbers as a whole IS an important topic. At least in our book, so just go with it ok?!

And, last but not least, the Cam saga drags on. The situation with AK...

Well, the Saints certainly wasted ZERO time getting to work during the "legal tampering" period of this year's Free Agency period, signing bona fide NFL starters and impact players at HUGE positions of need. We also managed some really solid "under the radar" signings. Of course, the good news comes with an absolute dagger to the Saints fans' collective heart in apparently deciding not to re-sign Demario. To say "He'll be missed" is a gigantic understatement. BUT, in the theme of wasting no time, we reunite with a former surprise standout LB the day after Demario's departure. Definitely a...

The NFL offseason marches on as the combine is officially in the books and the Free Agent “Tampering” period is only days away. So, naturally we dive deep into what we thought the results from the combine. Did anyone raise their stock for us? Any new red flags that weren’t there before? And does anything we saw change our wish lists or #DraftCrush for pick No. 8? ALSO, big news (allegedly) coming out of Cam Jordan’s camp today, as it’s been stated he intends to hit the market as a FA and there WON’T be a new contract...

Without fail this week has snuck up on us once again. It is NFL COMBINE week aka every dude's favorite (and only?) week to deliberately turn on the TV to watch other dudes run around in their underwear (or so the story goes). But in all seriousness, we talk about some of the main guys we have our eye on this week and what results have surprised us already. We also debate the actual significance of the Combine as a whole. Does it really show us everything so many people claim it does or is it, nowadays, more of...

It’s one of our patented and BEST episode formats - one that puts a Saints player of our choosing through THE test of how he holds up, in terms of ranking at his position, versus the rest of his counterparts in the NFL. And, NOW, the man who has earned a shot to be put through this trial is none other than our brand new QB1, quickly emerging fan-favorite of Saints and NFL fans alike: TYLER SHOUGH!

That’s right, we gettin’ Shough’d tonight or should we say “Game Shough’d” tonight 😏.

Definitely some solid debate...

As we embark on a new Saints season, we are embarking on a new journey ourselves. Your favorite Saints Podcast now has a NEW name: the Saintsaholics Anonymous Podcast. Fret not, for we will still take every opportunity to reference 28 to 3 and all possible ways the falcons suck, but for reasons stated in this episode, we're going in a new direction with the name and the brand. It's one that every true die-hard Saints fan can absolutely resonate with.

PLUS, besides introducing the world to our new name/brand refresh, we get into some actual football talk...

Enjoy this Part TWO of our Review of the Preview - This is definitely the more entertaining one, with our Season-long HOT TAKES, Fearless Predictions, and Corey's SEASON-LONG LOCK, which he was shockingly spot-on about, but "almost"? TUNE IN for one of our most enjoyable eps of the year. WHO DAT?!

It's one of our favorite episodes of the year, our SEASON RECAP and our "Review of the Preview". This is PART ONE of a two part series, in which we look back on what we had to say about the offense and defense BEFORE the season - in our Season Preview Ep - and now, give our takes on how close or how far off we were after the dust has settled on the year. Definitely a worthwhile watch and listen, as naturally, some of our takes were spot on while others were...not so much. TUNE IN and...

In this one, we briefly recap our Saints last game of the year. Hardest thing about it was we know Shough wanted to get at least one against the falcons this year, especially in a game that we really did some good things, and bested the other team in a lot of key statistical categories. BUT...this last game simply closed one chapter so an even greater one can begin! Now that the dust has settled on 2025, we know that we will go into the offseason armed with the EIGTH pick in the draft and have a much easier...

It's the FINAL Corey's LOCKS of the season, in true 28 TO 3 / FOUGH the Falcoins fashion, on falcons HATE WEEK.

Trust, this one does NOT disappoint. Now, if you're thinking we'll give you the lock bets/prediction in a podcast description...lol. Nope. You have to TUNE IN and listen for yourself and DECIDE....ARE YOU IN??? WHO DAT?!

Saints keep Shough'ing ROLLING! FOUR wins in-a-row! STREAKING!! The Saints twice faced a ten point deficit and just kept pressing the issue on their way to an impressive win. We all agree this was a total team victory, but the second half performance of Tyler Shough definitely led the way. We get into why this performance from Shough (compared to last week's) especially showed a reason for increased optimism that we really "just might" "have our guy" for years to come. We get into that and whole lot more in this one. TUNE IN! WHO DAT?!

Definitely didn't think we'd ever utter this phrase early in this season, but the Saints have just completed a THREE game win streak by taking down the Jets in the Dome Season Finale. With the running game injured as hell, Kellen put the game on Shough's shoulders and he delivered. We get into the performance from the offense, some actual debate in awarding the players of the game, including great defensive performances all around. We have basically every angle covered for this time of the year in this episode. TUNE IN! WHO DAT?!

#28to3 #28to3...

Last home game of the year for our Saints - can we make it worth it? Do we play it conservative against a lesser opponent, or do we open things up and try to put on a fireworks show for the home fans in the last game? We give our predictions on that as well as players of the game, PLUS, as special holiday edition of COREY'S LOCKS! Three games left to go, does he go conservative or does he "GO BIG OR GO HOME"? Two leg parlay? Three? FOUR LEG? TUNE IN to find out! WHO DAT?!

Another week, another NFC South division leader unseated by our Saints. The first win streak of the season came in dramatic fashion as Irishman Kicker CHARLIE SMYTH drilled the game winner to finish off the team's 4th quarter heroics, lead by some clutch defensive stops AND, obviously, by rookie QB1 Tyler Shough and the offense. It truly seems like ages ago that a win in the dome felt like this one. Corey and Max were in attendance to bring you the full report and breakdown of the win. Nick wasn't able to be there and will also be sitting...

Can the Saints keep the winning ways going as they come back to the DOME after two games on the road? They got a big win against the Panthers last time they swapped paint against em - can they do it again? We make our calls on that and hand out our predictions for players of the game. PLUS corey is going for FOUR Locks in a row. Truly an unbelievable feat considering how his year started. TUNE IN to see if he can keep the juju going and to see how we predict this Panthers matchup will shake...

Our Saints went into Tampa and literally weathered the storm to come away with a tough team victory against a division opponent. SOLID defense kept us in it, and our rookie QB1 , TYLER SHOUGH, showed off his WHEELS running for two scores plus making some solid throws along the way. While the weather may have slowed down some of Tampa's offensive weapons, the defense definitely took advantage either way, coming up with some KEY stops when it mattered the most. At this point, we're likely out of the running for a draft pick high enough to draft a top...

Saints head to Tampa to take on Baker and the Bucs. Do we think we can put up more of a fight this time than we did in the dome? It’s another game for Shough to try to prove to the Saints that they don’t need to draft a QB in Round 1. Can he keep the positive momentum going and have a game that looks more like last week’s second half than first half? We get into all of it and have your picks, plus LOCKS!! TUNE IN!

We recap the Saints trip to Miami. Talk about how awful that first half was but making things interesting in the end. What do we think of Shough’s performance? Deep dive loading…

TUNE IN! WHO DAT?!

A Thanksgiving Day Preview Pod - Is it time to eat for the Saints?? Or will it be scraps again? We get into our picks for the Saints holiday trip down to MIA. Go take that walk with your cousin and tune in! WHO DAT?!

*Collective yell in frustration from the top row of the terrace* Out of all the games, especially the home games, we wanted to down the birds in the DOME. We wanted to FOUGH up the falcons, but instead we GOT foughed. We recap the disappointment in this one, do our best to hand out “players of the game” and overall just lament what we saw on the field Sunday as we say GOOD RIDDANCE to the L we took against the shitbirds. Our favorite time of year: falcons HATE WEEK! "Fough" (and fuck) the falcons! We preview the first matchup of the year for the Saints vs. the team from atL, so we break down what we can expect from this one. Falcons come in hobbled, but as we all agree, this game is never short of surprises and just weird happenings that don't make sense. Obviously, we're looking for our guys to be on the winning end of that. We each give our picks, players of the game, and Corey brings it with his LOCK! Can he get back in...
