On today's Todd and Friends Podcast, Greg Snow and Todd Bergeth beat up the wolves last couple losses, but say “dont worry it’s just the regular season”.  Also big news from the Free agency world and who will win this weeks Players Championship.

Todd makes his weekly appearance on The Al Travis Show, which airs weekdays on on KWLM from 1-4pm and on stations around the state. The guys talk Twins baseball and the complex nature of being a fan of the team. Todd mentions a couple prospects to keep an eye on. The Timberwolves continue to have games that frustrate Al, Todd tries to talk him off the ledge. The guys agree on who they would like to see as the veteran QB the Vikings bring in, however it's not the one that's being talked about. No signing had been...

Shawn Bohlsen joins Todd and they talk about what it means if Kyler Murray is the Vikings QB next season. The Wild the Avs all they wanted Sunday, that would be a great post-season series. Akshay Bhatia wins at the Arnold Palmer in Orlando. Daniel Berger was somehow the leader while hitting a "30 handicap" tee shot ball flight.

Jeff Asche joins Todd and they talk about the high school hoops playoffs. Three area girls teams advance to state. Boys have a big Saturday in Montevideo. State hockey tournament always delivers the entertainment. Golf season starting in March? It has before. Ant Edwards is on another level, is this the year they win it all?

It's a Golden Gopher Thursday with Mike Grimm joining Todd. They talk Gopher women's basketball and the chance they have in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The Gopher men's team is just trying to get into the Crown tournament. Mike thought they looked tired vs Indiana. Grimmer gives his thoughts on the Vikings fast approaching decisions in the off-season.

Greg Snow joins Todd and they talk Vikings QB situation. If they bring in Kyler Murray, what does that say about JJ McCarthy? Is Kevin O'Connell on the hot seat? The guys disagree on that. Will KOC take full personnel control of the team and be the de facto GM even after the draft? Should he do that?

Will those teams, like the Wild, who had several representatives in the Games have some fatigue. The Wolves are now a strong 8 players deep, and their win over the Nuggets was led by their defense, an Al Travis type of game.

Shawn Bohlsen joins Todd and updates us on Kaden's time with the Hershey Bears of the AHL. Just 2 straight losses and the Wild find themselves in third place. Shawn offers a name they may trade for, but will it require one of their goaltenders to get it done. Shawn Lowry shows human frailty. 

Jeff Asche joins Todd and they talk about the high school hoops playoffs being upon us. Jeff loves his Maccray girls chances and the game they have tonight in Granite Falls vs their friendly rivals CMCS. Todd misses calling the Willmar games but is tracking them from Arizona, good luck to the the girls in Fergus Falls. The boys are having an excellent season led by Avery Christensen who is headed for Northern State. Jeff says the atmosphere at those games is awesome, Todd concurs, having once worked radio there.

It's a Golden Gopher Thursday with Mike Grim joining Todd. Men's hoops team is playing a six-man rotation due to injuries, yet won two of the their last three. Gopher Olympians on both Gold Medal Hockey teams. Grimmer thinks the Twins biggest weakness is their bullpen because of last year's trade deadline. Todd sees holes in the lineup.

Shawn Bohlsen joins Todd and they talk Vikings QB speculation. Did KOC endorse JJ McCarthy as his starting QB at the NFL Combine yesterday or didn't he? Who should the Vikings bring in? Wolves win without getting an "A" game from Ant or Julius Randle. Is this the year for the Wild to advance to the Finals?

Shawn Bohlsen joins Todd and talks about traveling through a "Noreaster" to see his son Kaden play pro hockey for the Hershey Bears, after he was called up on Friday. The Team USA Men's and women's hockey Gold Medal wins were great,. The men's team had Wild players in starring roles. Both guys are hoping Anthony Edwards finds more consistency with his energy.

Jeff Asche joins Todd and they talk about the USA Women's Gold Medal winning hockey team. Men playing as they recorded. The PGA Tour season has provided excitement. What are the guys hoping for from the Twins this season. Todd hopes a few young players can just be healthy. One is getting some national attention.

The Voice of the Golden Gophers Mike Grimm joins Todd from Eugene, OR as he travels with the men's basketball team. He and Todd talk hoops and Twins baseball. Grimmer is always optimistic except about one position group.

Greg Snow joins Todd earlier in the week with both guys traveling to the Laughlin, NV area and golfing at El Rio on Wednesday. The PGA Tour and LIV Tour both had great story lines and tournaments this week. Is Collin Morikawa back to being a top 5 player? Who does Todd pull for every week to win. Anthony Kim rallying to handily beat Jon Rahm and Bryson De Chambeau was perhaps the most impressive sporting feat this week.

Matt Williams joins Todd and they talk Willmar Cardinal hoops and athletics. Preview the upcoming post-season. Matt is concerned with the Timberwolves being a team that "flips the switch" off and on all the time.

Shawn Bohlsen joins Todd and they talk Winter Olympics. Shawn enjoys the hockey and Team USA is playing well. Three wild players on that team, nine altogether on Olympic teams. The Wild and Wolves both have, according to Todd, a "punchers chance" at winning a title this year. Could Anthony Edwards be considered the "face of the league?"

Greg Snow sits in for Jeff Asche on a Friday and talks Timberwolves at the all-star break. Both guys are fairly positive about the future and the present.

The Voice of the Gophers Mike Grimm joins Todd on a Golden Gopher Thursday. They talk men's and women's basketball. Grimmer's podcast this week is with baseball coach Ty McDevitt, who Mike has known since Ty was in high school. Will there be a labor stoppage in Major League Baseball.

Greg Snow joins Todd and they recap their Super Bowl thoughts. Greg didn't watch all of it due to Wall-to-Wall Darnold. Chris Gotterup gets the job done his own way on the PGA Tour, but Matsuyama handed it to him. Is it a good thing that Gobert went public with ripping his teammates.

Todd is joined by Coach carl Shuldes who just coached his last home boys swim meet on Saturday after 38 years as the head coach. Todd asks Carl about his career, his family and what's next for "Coach Carl."

There have been four QB's that will be free agents this year that "could" wind up with the Vikings. Tua, Kyler Murray, Geno Smith and a very familiar name to Vikings fans. Jeff Asche joins Todd and talks about his plans to watch the Super Bowl in Mexico. The guys make their picks, they have the same team just a different game flow. While Todd was in favor of trading for Giannis, he joins Jeff in being fine with it not happening. Anthony Edwards is an underrated star.

Six players that would have been starters or rotational players are out with injury. Twon gut wrenchers vs Wisconsin. Fred Hoiberg leading Nebraska, are they similar to Indiana football?

Shawn Bohlsen joins Todd and they talk about the last two years of QB decisions by the Vikings, many didn't work out as planned. There are rumors of the Vikings trying to trade for Joe Burrow, the star QB of the Bengals. Is it real, would the guys pull the trigger and at what cost?

Todd has to give Al and Sam Darnold their due as Sammy D came through with Al's backing the whole way. Todd offers he isn't sure the same thing happens for the Vikings if they keep Darnold. Al had a few "schizo" girlfriends in high school, hear how that fits in with the Timberwolves.

Greg Snow joins Todd and they talk about eating crow on Sam Darnold. The guys are happy for him, just not themselves or Vikings fans. Darnold didn't have to carry the end of his Vikings season with him to Seattle, he would have in Minnesota. Matthew Stafford's place is secure in NFL history, but he missed some big throws vs Seahawks. Glad to see Sean Payton lose and Scottie Scheffler win.

Jeff Asche joins Todd and talks about an upcoming Florida golf trip. The guys talk about Scottie Scheffler being kind of boring, but in a good way. Also Todd talks about being kind of a head case on the golf course, and takes Jeff with him into that discussion. They make their picks for this weekends NFL Playoffs.

It's a Golden Gopher Thursday with Mike Grimm joining Todd. The men's hoops team has hit a rough patch. The men's hockey team may be on the way to their worst record since the 80's, there's a good reason for that. Gopher women's hockey is in the top 3. The Big Ten has to be considered the best conference in football. Can Minnesota become the next Indiana?
