Colostrum Harvesting in Action

Colette and Louisa talk to Natalie Andinolfi, IBCLC, about her experience with antenatal colostrum harvesting. Natalie became a lactation consultant before she had her children, so she knows her stuff.

It is common to express drops of milk and some even can collect 1/2 or a whole teaspoon full of milk. Listen in and learn how much milk Natalie was able to harvest before her sweet baby was born.

Infant Botulism

In November 2025, ByHeart Infant Formula was recalled due to its link with infant botulism. As of December 3, 2025, a total of 39 infants with suspected or confirmed infant botulism and confirmed exposure to ByHeart Whole Nutrition infant formula (various lots) have been reported from 18 states. Laboratory confirmation for some cases is ongoing. Illnesses started on dates ranging from August 9 to November 19, 2025. All 39 infants were hospitalized. No deaths have been reported to date. For 38 infants with age and 39 with sex information available, they range in age from 16 to 264 days, and 15 (38%) are female.
