while reading an article the other day (yes, I read,it doesn't make me better than you), a question was posed. At what point would you stop paying money to see a band that was not exactly the same lineup that you grew up listening to? Maybe a different lead singer or missing band members? we have a couple of great examples, so listen in

This is the third album from AOR/Yacht Rock artist Page 99, in which they explore the growing sounds of early 80s-style music production. This is no imitation but rather an album produced in every way in the model of the great early 80s music studios and producers.

In this episode, we delve into the career of one of KVIL's finest on-air talents, Mr. Steve Eberhart. He discusses his illustrious radio career and his full-circle moment of buying the very station he started his radio career at.  

Growing up in the 1970s, we all had our favorite radio stations. The On-air talent brought us back every day. On this episode, we start a series called " When Radio Ruled The Airwaves." I am from the DFW Metroplex; we had a few powerhouse stations back in the day. One of those stations could be found on 103.7 on the FM Dial. One of my all-time favorite personalities was Terry King. Terry joins us to talk about what it was like to work in radio during the 70's and 80's .

Long before you could stream your tunes, we depended on our local radio stations. If you were fortunate to grow up in the DFW Metroplex in the 70’s and 80’s, you had a powerhouse station dominating the airwaves. KVIL 103.7 had some amazing on air talent. We visit with a couple of my favorites on this episode of our podcast

Bruce Blackman stood his ground with the record company bigwigs and refused to let them take a key component from his hit song "Moonlight Feels Right." Lucky for us he did. It was a true one of a kind hit song. 

What an honor to have a conversation with a truly great guy. He comes to us all the way from Southern Australia. He is the founder and producer of the best cover band. The Hindley Street Country Club is more of a project than a band. The musicians and singer are many and the talent pool runs deep. They are putting their own spin on the best music (the 70's and 80's of course). Let me introduce you to my new brother from down under, Mr. Con Delo

this episode we listen to the 9th studio album from the "Late" Kenny Rogers. It was a concept album written by former bandmate (New Christy Minstrels) Kim Karnes and her husband. Hope you enjoy

He discusses how the two met, the projects they collaborated on together and the health issues now facing Bobby. He states that this is indeed a labor of love for a dear friend.

The eighth studio album from Eddie Rabbitt. It produced 2 number one country hits and a lot of great music. Released in 1982, it still holds up as some great country music that crossed over into the main stream and adult contemporary charts.  I hope you enjoy the whole album as much as I did and still do.  

If Not For Music and The PodShack Studio Fort Worth bring you a new segment in our podcast series. We are taking a deep dive into my personal record collection to bring you some great music. Today's episode we revisit Chicago 14 in it's entirety. Not a commercially successful record by any stretch of the imagination but still a great listen. Caught between the 70's and 80's this record marks a turning point that will lead to some very successful records in the coming years.

We visit the year 1977 and hopefully it will conjure up a few memories for you.
