06/25/2025

Love them or loath them Mimics are a fact of life. From the helpful Doppelganger who goes into work for you when you've had a skin full the night before to the much more troubling Jim Carey doing a Mick Jagger impression on a British tallent show in the late 80's they fill our lives in good and bad way. We all have learned to accept this as part of our reality. But have you ever stood back and thought to yourself 'Is is right?'. This episode asks the unspoken question, breaks the taboo and discusses 'Mimics, who asked...

Ted the Caver
#9
06/11/2025

This one is for the completionists. We look at the looooooong and boring original creepypasta Ted the Caver. Listen in amazement as the guys struggle through this episode, with grit, determination and an almost fanatical devotion to their craft. Basically, we are sorry. It makes excellent brown noise to go to sleep to.

The Verginha Incident
#7
05/28/2025

Morning. This episode takes us to Brazil in the 1990's, no it isn't a tail of Suede's antics on tour but a close encounter of the sweaty kind. So what we know is it definitely isn't Prince Andrew...this time. There was a UFO crash ('we dont got wind where we comes from!') investigated by a military man, and three young women found the alien, alone and scarred in a lot behind the shops or something. But the brass have tried to pass it off as wonderful character 'Mudinho', a local with addiction issues and disabilities. Neil is also...

The Haunting of Wallsend Mill
#6
05/21/2025

Howay! This week we travel (metaphorically, we wouldn't actually travel, train fairs being what they are) to the mysterious and surreal area of the North East of Engerland. For once, this is an actual intriguing story of haunting which is not easily explained (without the help of throwing in the wild card of Gerard Depardeiu, which we obviously did). Over a century 3 families, multiple generations and many witnesses hauntings were going on in this Mill House. We cant explain it, can you?

Houston Batman
#5
05/14/2025

This week on the podcast, which youtube has issues with due to its outsized influence in the US and UK elections apparently, we have another story which starts with people drinking shine on the porch at 2am, its the Houston Batman. Was he or they a midnight creeper and peeper? A UFO? Shine madness? We may never know but something did happen because it was reported in newspapers, the gold standard.

The Atari Landfill
#4
05/07/2025

Trigger Warning! There is computer game chat in this episode. Are Neil and Chris doing a dry run for a re-boot of Gamesmaster with Joe Swash as the new Patrick Moore? Keep your eyes glues to the Dave channel. In this episode we dig through the landfill of late stage capitalist thinking but was there actually something else going on? The guys certainly seem to have some questions that need answers about the insanity of the whole thing. Or was it just cocaine?

Funland
#3
04/30/2025

It this weeks more reasonable episode we have a look at the internet legend of Funland. It's a story about blossoming manhood and being in love with a very tempting, very enticing inanimate object. We have all thought about it but what happens when the object becomes the objectee and the manhood becomes the cooker hood? Well, thats one read of the story, another is someone once saw and episode of Scooby Do, i can do that but worse.

Welcome to Engerland, home of the pint, home of the brave, did Jesus footsteps once walk upont these sacred hills? Borley Rectory is in England. But it's not pints it serves, its the paranormal. Batboy
#1
04/16/2025

Having settled all their legal disputes, medical claims and blood feuds the lads (42 and 47 respectively) are back in the saddle of the strange and enlightening world of Urban Legends. For a bit of fun to kick off the series we have a chuckle at classic bants Weekly World News and their main pin up (it's meant to be erotic right?) Batboy. Yep from the caves of West Virginia, where I get my backy, to Iraq and biting the Queen, its a bit of fun.

Chubacabra
#25
01/30/2025

In the free wheeling, bring your toys to school day final episode of the series we look at the frankly unimpressive Chupa (Suck) Cabra (Chub). Much like fellow stars Mcauly Culken, Snow and Chaka Demus and Plyas its imperial phase was the 90's. Ah the 90's, remember when we were in the 90's and though everything was shit? Can't Sunday Quarterback the ghost of a whisper of a glimpse of your younger self, no matter how many sacrifices you are willing to perform. Anywho, yeah, probably just a dog and some fraud.

Organism 46-b
#23
01/16/2025

Back in the regular slot after the Christmas and the New Year Eve we are asking ourselves the question that dare no speak its name but returns to us every night in the liminal space twixt wake and dream; How much Vodka is too much Vodka. Is too much Vodka when you cheerfully tell a tall tale based on a sci fi short or in fact is the the right amount of Voddy because its a laugh. Also lots of Chris trail of though nonsense and weak premises and Neils attempts to placate said man child.

Bachelors Grove Cemetery part 3 Final
#11
10/09/2024

Here we are with the third and final part of the Bachelors grove universe. In the style of the Godfather movies, the third episode is long and also in the style of Game of Thrones lacks a satisfactory conclusion. So everyone, one last push, a double shift and then its holiday time for everyone and the barn will be built. I feel this strengthens us as a community
