He has filed a civil petition to withdraw his guilty plea, alleging ineffective counsel, coercion, and false promises. This as his legal team says 17 terabits of critical defense files are still missing and they are seeking to withdraw his guilty plea.

In upstate New York, eighteen-year-old Raymond Wright Junior has been convicted of second-degree murder for strangling his fourteen-year-old girlfriend, Samantha Humphrey, and discarding her body in the Mohawk River over a pregnancy dispute. In Georgia, thirty-five-year-old Jason Christopher Campbell was sentenced to ten years in prison for burning his mother's body in their backyard after falsely telling dispatchers she had been abducted by aliens. Former West Point cadet Caleb Suh drugs his pregnant girlfriend with a sedative and while she is unconscious, administers abortion pills without her consent. His girlfriend was also a cadet.  Suh now pleads guilty to assault and is now facing a civil lawsuit while awaiting federal sentencing. That takes place in January 2027, after his attorny asked the judge to delay sentencing until after Suh graduates.

Escaped Tennessee murderer Jacob Allen Morley is back behind bars after leading multiple state and federal agencies on an intensive multi-state manhunt into Missouri. In Colorado, eighteen-year-old Omar Perez faces first-degree murder charges following a deadly weekend shooting near the University of Colorado-Boulder campus that left nineteen-year-old student Luca Hanlon dead and another hospitalized. In Oregon, thirty-five-year-old Vince Edgar Chavez is held without bail on ten felony charges after violently invading a Canby home, assaulting a twelve-year-old girl with a hammer, and abducting her ten-year-old sister before tactical teams executed a dramatic raid. Laken Snelling,  22-year-old former University of Kentucky cheerleader,  now serving a 10 year prison sentence in the death of her newborn son.  Snelling pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant Snelling received 415 days of credit for time spent on house arrest. Prison records indicate a potential parole date of February 21, 2034. Snelling must serve 85% of her sentence

Christa Pike remains on death row as her legal team fights for clemency while the state considers another execution attempt.

She has been moved into a high‑security pod, but her attorneys have filed an emergency motion requesting she be transferred to general population due to safety concerns.  In her declaration, Pike alleges she has witnessed multiple assaults in her unit, is in “debilitating pain.

There will be a retrial for Lindsay Clancy in the murder of her three children. What it will look like isn't yet known. Another hearing is set for November 16, 2026.  In court today, attorney Kevin Reddington took the offensive, lasting out at the holdout juror, calling him by name. Judge William Sullivan interjected to stop Reddington, who declared the judge would not stop him.  In raised voices, the two spoke over each other as Reddington pushed back.

Convicted serial rapist and Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster has been released from prison after serving roughly 20 years of an original 124-year sentence. Luster was convicted in 2003 on 86 felony counts for using the date-rape drug GHB to render three women unconscious and assault them.

The 62-year-old Luster is now under state parole supervision, living with his mother in Glendora, California. Investigators apply a grid search method to examine the Philadelphia "House of Horrors" property. Singer D4vd's (David Anthony Burke) latest court appearance was short, barely 3 minutes.  He appeared in Los Angeles County Superior Court alongside his new public defenders, Walid Kandeel and Nicole Jones,  as the defense and prosecution confirmed they are continuing to exchange discovery.

Burke attended in an orange jail jumpsuit and shackles, with many reporting he looked tired. Burke remains in custody without bail facing charges of capital murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and mutilation of human remains in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Attorneys for Christa Pike are asking the court for more time to prepare for a hearing scheduled to discuss next steps. Pike survived a failed execution attempt.    Tennessee administered two doses of pentobarbital, but she did not die. Witnesses reported that she continued breathing and making snoring-like sounds long after the drugs were administered. She was eventually taken by ambulance to a hospital.

A family of three take a three week vacation that ends in murder. 27‑year‑old Pennsylvania woman, Metallica Rose Harrison, now facing two counts of criminal homicide after allegedly stabbing her husband, Charles Harrison, and their 3‑year‑old son to death.  

According to court documents, Harrison called 911  saying she was suicidal and “needed help committing suicide,”  that her husband and son were “already gone in the bed.”  

Investigators recovered a large butcher‑style kitchen knife on the bathroom floor and a smaller knife in the sink. Neither were Great Wolf Lodge property.
