The 125th U.S. Open Golf Championship begins Thursday at Oakmont Country Club, and no one knows more about the storied club than Bob Ford.

For 37 years, he was the PGA of America Head Professional at Oakmont, and he's the last host professional to make the cut in the U.S. Open (1983). This week, he will serve for the ninth consecutive year as the Official Starter for our national championship.
